Welcome to today’s show!   I talk about Three Things HBO’s Euphoria gets right when it comes to addiction and mental health. Here is what I want to spend time highlighting as if we were sitting together having coffee!   WHAT WE’LL LEARN:   Addiction and mental health are often comorbid or occurring simultaneously. Sometimes a mental health diagnoses can go undiagnosed for years. Assimilating back into the world of sobriety (after an overdose or relapse) is not always easy. More education is needed with our young people especially surrounding addiction and mental health disorders. Triggers. WE may think triggers are small but to the person in recovery, his triggers are earth-shattering and he often feels like there are no other options. What we can do on a micro-level to help those in recovery. These individuals may have burned their life to the ground, but they still may not be ready to give up the alcohol/drugs.
