From the group chat to a podcast our host Kristopher, Jazz, & Jason will be reviewing movies and tv shows. There will be discussions, debates and of course disagreements. Just us as we give our opinions, weird takes and go completely off course with wild ledges.

We're back with Season 4 of Invincible, and let's just say—the first three episodes are pure chaos. So much so that Jazz is actually asking them to slow things down… yeah, it's that intense. We dive into where Mark is mentally and emotionally after the brutal battle with the Invincible variants—an event that left behind massive destruction and loss. The weight of it all is clearly taking a toll on him, and you can feel it in every scene. We also get into the unexpected but entertaining friendship forming between Allen and Nolan, along with the growing theme of accountability. At the same time, we start to uncover the truth about what really happened to the Viltrumites, and it's not as straightforward as it seemed.

Is Paradise leading us down a time-traveling path? This week, we're diving into Episode 6 for our Side Quest Reviews. This episode centers on Jane, the agent whose unique skill set has made her a dangerous force for anyone who's crossed her path. We're wrapping up our Side Quest Reviews for Cross Season 2 with Episode 7. Don't worry, we'll still be doing a full breakdown of the finale and the entire season in Episode 198. Jazz kicks things off with a smooth “told you so” to John, pointing out how the red flags surrounding his mother were flying all season. We also dive into the major death in this episode and discuss how that betrayal might play out in the season finale. Jason drops a very interesting theory, but we'll have to wait and see if it actually comes to fruition. We also give Matthew Lillard his flowers and shout out how he went from the Scream 7 set straight over to Cross. After seeing both performances, the man deserves his props. One question we do have: will El come back? Is her character still needed at this point? Let us know what you think, and be on the lookout for Episode 198.

We're taking Episode 196 back to the early ‘90s with a review and discussion of the cult classic superhero comedy Blankman. Joined by our brother Austin, a huge fan of the film, we break down this unique take on a 90s superhero movie and how it stands out as one of the early Black superhero movies in cinema. Starring Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier, Blankman tells the story of a self-made hero trying to protect his neighborhood from criminals, mob bosses, and corruption. During the episode we dive into the relationship between Darryl and Kevin, discuss what makes Blankman such a memorable 90s comedy movie, and talk about how it compares to other early Black superhero films like The Meteor Man. Along the way, we also get into some fun conversations about whether we'd ever become superheroes ourselves, plus a few personal stories from our past dating experiences. One thing we couldn't gloss over was the lasting impact of the Wayans family comedy legacy. From classic TV shows to iconic films, the Wayans dynasty has been shaping comedy since the ‘80s. That naturally led us to share our thoughts on the recently released trailer for Scary Movie 6 and what it could mean for fans of the franchise. If you love 90s movies, Black cinema, cult classic movie reviews, and movie podcast discussions, this episode is for you. We get right into it… and of course ask the most important question, Was It Good Though?

We get into our favorite scenes from the film. Jason has a story time . We get into the Wayans influence of not just black culture but the entertainment business as a whole . And last, but certainly not the least, W AS IT GOOD THOUGH?

Get your tissues ready, this one is a certified tearjerker. We're four episodes into Season 2 of Paradise, and the writers are not holding back. Lightning, hail, heartbreak… they've been cooking up a storm of emotions. Annie and Xavier leave Graceland for Atlanta, only to find themselves in a situation neither Jason nor Jazz could've predicted. The tension? Heavy. The emotions? Even heavier. We also step back in time to the first baby born in Paradise, a moment that brought real joy, not just to Cal, but to Sinatra too. That flashback hit differently, especially knowing where things stand now. What did you think about this episode? Did it wreck you like it wrecked us? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let's talk about where this season is headed next.

The crew is back with not only another review but another Scream review! Would you sleep in a murder house ? Does Sid character as a mother makes sense? Did you select the correct ghost face killers?Sidney's situational awareness seemed to have been at an all time low in this film with a few questionable decisions she made , but Captain Save a Sid isn't allowing it!. We discuss our favorite top motivations in the Scream franchise and much much more and if course we answer that burning question, WAS IT GOOD THOUGH?!

The socials are upset with Cr-ayla , so we discuss the where you see smoke , there must be fire . Has Cross become whitewashed ? Elle must face her Trevor issue with Janine but most importantly should Elle have lied ? Kayla and her Bobby Trey issue . Cross officially meets Luz and we discuss how we felt about the interaction. Donnie did whaaaa?? Luz continues her mission to sees the Senator . Kayla has a trick up her sleeve for her boss. We predict the next episode that we think will really give us a shock!

We're taking this Side Quest through Paradise Season 2, Episodes 1–3. Sterling K. Brown returns for another intense season, but this time, the story expands beyond what we've seen before. We break down the new characters introduced in Episode 1, explore the depth of Xavier's love for his wife, and examine the top-tier villainy of Jane. And is Sinatra really the all-powerful big bad, or is there more going on beneath the surface? We also debate whether the series is leaning too heavily on flashbacks and ask the big question: Will Xavier ever see his wife again? These are just a few of the topics we dive into during this review. Share your thoughts in the comments and let us know how you're enjoying the season so far!

WIGTP presents Queued Up, As Requested! This week, we're joined by a special guest who selected the film for discussion — the multi-talented “Jack of All Trades,” Wade Simmons. We dive into the 2021 drama The Starling, starring Melissa McCarthy and Chris O'Dowd. The film explores how a married couple navigates life after experiencing a devastating loss, highlighting the emotional weight of grief, trauma, and the different ways people cope with pain. Throughout the episode, the crew unpacks the film's themes, shares personal reflections, and discusses the importance of showing up for the people you love during their darkest moments. We also give flowers to the cast for their performances and the emotional depth they brought to the story. And as always, we close it out the only way we know how — asking the ultimate question: Was It Good Though?

As we wrap up Black History Month, we had to end on a Wonderful note. So why not with Marvel's latest series, Wonder Man. We brought in a great group of guest to discuss this series, our brother Furb, Chris, and Anthony from Talking Ish: A Podcast Amongst Friends. In this episode, we dive into the friendship between Simone and Trevor, share our expectations (if we had any), and explore how this series delivers a completely different energy compared to previous Marvel shows. Will we see Simone again? Is a season 2 on the horizon? Why did Simone risk his entire career to save Trevor? We tackle these questions and more….but ultimately, the biggest question of all, Was It Good Though?

Welcome to Side Quest Reviews, presented by WIGTP!This series is all about the shows we're currently watching, with new episodes dropping weekly. We're kicking off this new series with the Amazon Prime show Cross, starring Aldis Hodges. We reviewed Season 1 back in 2024 (Episode 131: Cross) and absolutely loved it, so naturally, we have to dive into Season 2. This episode covers Episodes 1–4, exploring all the madness these first few episodes have introduced. We dig into Alex's relationships with El, Kayla, and John, and discuss the season's storytelling, which feels very much like art imitating life, especially given current events. Jason shares a bold prediction, and Jazz expresses her excitement to see Bobby Trey back in the mix. We'll save our “Was It Good Though?” verdict until the end of the season, but so far, it's easy to see where the hosts are leaning. Side Quest Reviews will drop weekly, so stay tuned! Along with Cross, we'll be doing Paradise, starring Sterling K Brown.

The crew is back with our second, QUEUED UP, AS REQUESTED , and this week we are discussing “The Number 23.” Yes , the psychological thriller starring Jim Carrey as a man who becomes obsessed with a book. We discuss where else have we seen a similar type of film. Our thoughts on Jim Carrey out of his normal wheel house. Who's really to blame for why things go left within the movie ! And most importantly and thr reason why we are here, WAS IT GOOD THOUGH?!

The crew kicks things off by circling back to our ongoing relationship deep dives following up on Why Did I Get Married? and Relationship Goals. Are we evolving or just arguing better? We give a quick-hit review of The Fall Off from J. Cole and ask the real question: what actually determines a musical legend? Longevity? Impact? Vulnerability? Or just vibes? Then it's time for Episode 193's main event: His & Hers, the Netflix crime drama adaptation starring Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal. We break down the dynamic between the leads and whether that chemistry really sells the chaos. Anna leaving her job, her family, and getting caught with Richard. The sexual assault conversation and was it handled well? Is this story about classism, racism… or both? Did you clock the killer early, or were you blindsided? We let the ladies cook as they unpack the lead characters, and we ask the fellas: If you were Jack… how would you really handle it? “Meat mail” and modern male audacity. The ladies' dating list vs. conquered list. Anna's mother and the emotional weight of her condition. Messy relationships. Moral gray areas. Gender politics. Suspicion. Accountability. All that and more but the only question that really matters: WAS IT GOOD THOUGH?!

We're stepping into the season of love, but first, we take a moment to honor and remember the legends we've recently lost. 2026 has already claimed some heavy hitters, and we made sure to give them their flowers. It's also award season, so we couldn't skip over some of the standout moments and winners from this year's Grammy Awards. For Episode 192, we dive into Relationship Goals, starring Kelly Rowland and Method Man. The crew has been asking for a Black-led rom-com, but did this one actually deliver on the rom-com expectations? We break down the tropes, unpack the toxic side of love, and Jason shares a recent encounter that ties right into the conversation. We also discussed the chemistry between the characters, Method Man's performance, and whether the heavy “Bible messaging” was doing too much. We get into all of it — and of course… Was It Good Though?

The gang is BACK and we're returning to the Bone Temple!! Which means no shoes, no morals, and survival instincts. For Episode 191, we dive headfirst into 28 Years Later: Bone Temple, directed by the always-illustrious Nia DaCosta. But before we can get to the horror? It's Jason's birthday, so naturally the episode opens in absolute disorder. Birthday cake, chaos, and a very real conversation about why the planet feels overpopulated with Aquariuses. Science was attempted. Then we get into the madness: Spike, Dr. Kelson, and that man , the Alpha. Samson. THAT MAN OUTSIDE. One legend, too many nicknames, zero peace. We discuss the story shifts from Spike to now Sir Jimmy Crystal and his fingers, the power dynamics get messier, louder, and way more unhinged. We break down the long-awaited Kelson vs. Sir Jimmy clash, argue about who's really in control, and question Spikes every life choice that led us here. PLUS , we get into If we started a cult, what song are we forcing everyone to worship to? Is the “28 Years” franchise officially knocking on the door of the Top 10 horror franchises of all time, or are we bugging? All that chaos leads to the final, unavoidable question: WAS. IT. GOOD. THOUGH?!

As always, we wrap things up by answering the question, Was It Good Though?

This week, we dive headfirst into Why Did I Get Married? and unpack relationships, friendship, secrets, and everything in between. We're joined by our sister Lisa and King Toxic himself, a.k.a. The crew is back, and we're diving into a 25-year-old hood classic Baby Boy with friend of the show and internet fam, RICO! Freshly added to The Criterion Collection with Boyz N the Hood and Poetic Justice, John Singleton's film hits different in 2026. It's raw, reflective, and honest about young Black men being coddled by family, the lack of emotional immaturity, and the moment life forces them to grow up.In this episode, we break it ALL down: Have we ever been a Jody? The moments we saw ourselves a little too clearly. Melvin's impact and why his role might be one of the film's most important pieces. What makes Baby Boy a classic and why it still resonates today. If Pea's character was necessary or wasted potential? Yvette's journey, the choices she makes, and the advice we'd give her. Black men in the home and how the movie frames that conversation. Snoop as Rodney , did we get enough? Did we want more? Plus, we pit Insecure vs. Baby Boy, and Jason hits Jazz with a full UNO reverse in “THIS OR THAT.” And you already know why you're here… WAS IT GOOD THOUGH?!

We break down the film's rollercoaster tone, Gary Oldman's performance as Rolfe, and Matthew's turn as a full-on villain.
