Sinners who draw close to Our Lord know that they will not be rejected by Him. For as the Gospel tells us, Christ came to save sinners; everything He does is for our salvation. Moreover, Our Lord knows our sinfulness and need to be pardoned. This is why He asks us continually to draw near to Him.
Indiana Republicans went to the White House to talk redistricting. Back home, the public isn't buying it according to a new poll. Change Research says 52 percent of Hoosiers are against redistricting, while the majority want lawmakers to focus on more pressing issues like inflation. On this week's Statehouse Happenings, Rob Kendall, Abdul-Hakim Shabazz, and Jim Merritt discuss the legislators' trip to Washington and if public sentiment against redistricting will have an impact on the final decision. Guest: Rafa Conde — Founder & CEO of Man of War, former DEA/Narcotics/SWAT officer, best-selling author, host of the Men of War podcast (35M+ downloads), elite leadership coach, and multimillion-dollar entrepreneur. Early Hustle & Lessons: Rafa's first money came washing cars at age 11, developing a bias for action, self-reliance, and learning to execute before overthinking or overplanning. Early entrepreneurship shaped his long-term drive to “just do it” — a theme he now instills in men seeking discipline and legacy. Wall Street to Law Enforcement: Spent 12 years on Wall Street, managing nearly $1B in assets, establishing himself as a high-producer and eventually running his own branch. Left for a greater sense of purpose, becoming a police officer at age 32 in one of the nation's most violent cities, later working narcotics, SWAT, and ultimately as a DEA task force officer. Rafa describes giving up material wealth and status and embracing “starting from scratch” as crucial for true growth and reinvention. Law Enforcement, Humility, & Adversity: Made his mark through work ethic and results—leading felony arrests and serving in specialized units (including undercover work and federal task force roles). Learned from major setbacks: lost home, cars, and income in the transition, but rebuilt through tactical training contracts and martial arts instruction, showing lasting resilience and adaptability. Reinvention: Founding Man of War: Later transitioned to building Man of War—a movement and business designed to restore “the warrior mindset” and healthy masculinity through high-impact events, masterminds, and coaching. His podcast "Men of War" surpassed 35 million downloads by championing direct, honest conversations about discipline, code, and male brotherhood in today's world. Philosophy on Masculinity & Leadership: Key problem: Modern men have grown soft, seeking comfort and avoiding adversity; true growth requires struggle, competition, and camaraderie. Emphasizes leading by example—“If you can't lead yourself, don't expect to lead anyone else.” Rejects “false leadership” based on rank—respect must be earned by character, resilience, and the courage to do hard things. Recommends men start with competition (e.g., martial arts) and purposely place themselves in uncomfortable situations to develop confidence, grit, and self-mastery. Programs, Reach, & What's Next: Man of War now provides elite events (“Crucible”), global masterminds (“House of Kings”), and a fast-growing father-son program (“Odyssey”), expanding across the US, Latin America, Europe, and beyond. Rafa continues to consult for top companies and help men build modern legacies based on strength, discipline, and honor. Connect with Rafa Conde & Man of War: Website: https://www.rafajconde.com/
Megyn Kelly is joined by Kmele Foster, Michael Moynihan, and Matt Welch, hosts of "The Fifth Column," to discuss the DNC summer meeting beginning with a ridiculously long “land acknowledgement,” how the Democratic party continues to be out of touch, the Chicago mayor rejecting Trump's help to fix crime in his city, the reality of the crime rates in Chicago, whether the potential federal law enforcement action is even legal, Trump continuing to put Democrats in the position to defend unpopular policies, why Trump is legally wrong on flag-burning but will garner reaction that puts the left at odds with the American people, Tim Walz sounding completely ridiculous, Trump's clash with Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook, her refusal to step down after mortgage fraud allegations, whether Trump can really fire her and whether she will actually leave, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's breaking engagement announcement, the couple's impact on society, why our culture is obsessed with celebrity, and more. Looking around in 2025, it's hard not to see the outright rejection of classical beauty. From Art to Architecture, fashion to physical beauty trends, it is clear that something has been lost in societies perception of beauty. But this is not a new phenomenon. As society has rejected truth, it has also rejected the concept of objective beauty. Today we will discuss where this hatred for the beautiful came from, why it has become so pervasive, and how to deal with a world that calls ugly things beautiful and beautiful things oppression.-----⭐ SPONSOR: Good Ranchers Serve only the best meat to fuel your family this school year! Donate (no account necessary) | Subscribe (account required) Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this episode of The Wright Report, we cover Trump's security promises to Ukraine, Xi's pledge on Taiwan, Israel's expanding Gaza campaign, and Bolivia's rejection of socialism. From tense diplomacy in Washington to regime collapse in Latin America, today's brief connects the global headlines shaping America's future. Trump and European Leaders Debate Ukraine Security Guarantees: At the White House, Trump and European leaders pressed Zelenskyy to accept ceding Crimea and other land to Russia, while pledging U.S. and European backing for Ukraine's defense. Zelenskyy continues to demand binding security guarantees, but questions remain over whether that means U.S. boots on the ground. Bryan explores if America is edging toward a dangerous commitment. The Economics of a Ukraine Deal — Weapons and Minerals: Reports suggest a peace deal could include massive U.S. arms sales funded by Europe, alongside possible access to Ukraine's rare earth deposits. Bryan analyzes why Ukraine's mining industry faces seven major roadblocks, from corruption and infrastructure damage to Russian control of key deposits. History Check: The Budapest Memorandum Was Not a Guarantee: Listener Michelle raises whether America already owes Ukraine a security guarantee dating back to the 1990s. Bryan revisits the Budapest Memorandum, showing it offered only “assurances” — not guarantees — and why Ukraine knowingly traded its nuclear arsenal for cash, energy, and weaker promises. Xi Tells Trump No War with Taiwan — For Now: China's president reportedly told Trump he will not invade Taiwan while Trump is in office. Bryan considers whether this is respect for Trump, fear of U.S. drone defenses, or simply a pause due to China's economic crash, property collapse, and Xi's growing paranoia at home. Israel Prepares for Expanded Gaza War: The Israeli Defense Forces announce plans for a decisive campaign into Gaza City and central refugee camps. Netanyahu pushes to relocate Palestinians abroad while hostage negotiations stall. Israeli protests grow louder, but leadership insists Hamas must be destroyed to secure peace. Bolivia Rejects Socialism After 20 Years of Collapse: Voters oust their Marxist government after two decades of economic ruin, high inflation, shortages, and long fuel lines. The runoff pits a centrist senator and a conservative ex-president, both favoring closer U.S. ties. Bryan warns that Evo Morales, still backed by allies in Havana, Caracas, and Beijing, could yet destabilize Bolivia's democratic turn. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: Trump Ukraine peace deal, Zelenskyy Crimea concessions, Ukraine security guarantees, U.S. weapons sales Europe, Ukraine rare earth minerals, Budapest Memorandum assurances, Xi Trump Taiwan pledge, China economic slowdown property crisis, Israel Gaza expanded war, Netanyahu relocate Palestinians, Bolivia socialism collapse, Evo Morales comeback threat

President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he will activate hundreds of National Guard troops to be in the nation's capital to deal with the issue of crime. “This is Liberation Day in D.C. and we're going to take our Capitol back,” Trump said at a press conference. “We're taking it back under the authorities vested in me as the president of the United States.”A federal judge denied the Trump administration's request to make material related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein public. Grand jury material is typically kept secret, and the government's filings do not meet an exception laid out in previous rulings, U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer wrote in a 31-page decision.

Join Jim and Greg for the Friday edition of the 3 Martini Lunch as they react to President Trump's firm opposition to a Palestinian state, a deeply disappointing July jobs report, and more glaring incompetence from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and former Vice President Kamala Harris.First, they applaud Trump for refusing to follow France, Great Britain, and Canada in announcing their support for a Palestinian state. Trump says would be rewarding Hamas for its atrocities against Israel and beyond. Jim and Greg also explain why calls for establishing a Palestinian state with Mahmoud Abbas and Palestinian Authority is a horrible idea.Next, they shake their heads at the July jobs report, which shows just 73,000 jobs added, a number far below expectations. Making matters worse, numbers from May and June were revised down by more than 250,000. Jim suggests tariffs may be hurting job creation, and both he and Greg warn against using tariff revenues to send us all checks. Finally, they roll their eyes as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass says the withdrawal of more National Guard personnel means they are in "retreat." Bass also cluelessly says he wants all military out of LA. Jim and Greg remind you that Bass was on Joe Biden's short list for vice president in 2020.
