Bafana Bafana has come a long way since Hugo Broos took over in 2021. Many were concerned about his management style, but he has revolutionised the way the National team plays. The team plays with passion and grit and ultimately, they are more committed than ever. Broos has collected some impressive results, with none more special than the bronze medal at the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON). In recent weeks, Broos has been the subject of rumours stating he's leaving the National team to take up a job with Club Brugge in his home country, Belgium. SAFA and Broos have denied these rumours, however, Mzansi is worried given how much he has done for Bafana. All teams go through their dominant eras, however, locally and internationally, Kaizer Chiefs and Manchester United have had the hardest falls from grace, having both been dominant forces for decades, only to now be classified as mid-table teams. Supporters are the lifeblood of clubs, but many seem to walk away when their teams are underperforming. Surely when your team is in a rut, support means more to them? Supporters need to stand by their cubs and support them through thick and thin! On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi reacts to rumours circulating about Hugo Broos Leaving Bafana Bafana. But ultimately, it was the Buccaneers who were victorious having won 3-2 thanks to goals by Monnapule Saleng and Thabiso Lebtiso. Kaizer Chiefs were dominant when looking at the states, stringing over 350 passes and having 10 shots on goal. The worrying aspect is that only 3 were on target and Chiefs did not find the back of the net. This goes to show that Kaizer Chiefs are in dying need of a natural goal scorer. On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, Mzansi comments on the first round of matches from the 2023/24 Dstv Premiership and give their thoughts on Kaizer Cheif's lack of ability upfront. Siyabonga Ngezana has joined an elite set of players who have made the move out of the PSL, and into Europe. The Former Kaizer Chiefs defender has put pen to paper and signed for Romanian Ligue 1 club, Fotbol Club FCSB. The versatile defender spent seven seasons with the Glamour Boys, where he grew into a formidable defender. Many Chiefs fans have even praised the 25-year-old, claiming he was one of the best defenders during the 2022/23 Dstv Premiership season. The beauty of this move is that there is proof that development players have what it takes to make the move to Europe, so long as the player is hard-working, determined, and ready to make the necessary sacrifices. Ngezane was able to control the defence, not only playing in the full-back position, but when duty called, he slotted perfectly into a center-back role, which make him an indispensable player. Being able to shift mindsets into these positions, is no easy task, which is why a European club came calling. Former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Samir Nurkovic has been in a legal battle with Pal club, Royal AM over a contractual dispute, which saw the club owned by Shawn Mkhize terminate the Serbians contract early, to the tumultuous groans of the PSL. Nurkovic signed a two-year deal, not long after being released by the Glamour Boys, but he never featured in any competitive matches. Nurkovic's contract was terminated 2 months into this binding agreement, without any form of compensation. The club argued he was released due to a lengthy period of ‘sick leave.' The Serb took this discrepancy forward to the PSL, where, in his favour, it was announced that Royal Am has to payout the contract, a fee which comes close to R12 million, or ‘Mkhize's men' will face a ban imposed by FIFA. Zwane and Hooligans: How Fans Let Chiefs Down…

Kaizer Chiefs have lost yet another game, making them winless in 4 matches. Their most recent loss, came at the hands of former Kaizer Chiefs Coach Gavin Hunt; as he and his SuperSport United downed Chiefs 1-0 when they met on Saturday 13 May at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace. Khosi Nation is seemingly losing patience with the former Chiefs player-turned coach and the actions shown by a handful of radical supporters bring light to this. Zwane was subjected to an attack by Chiefs fans, having bottles and other objects thrown at him when he was leaving the technical area. Zwane suffered minor injuries, but it would appear as though these fans might suffer major consequences. Acts of hooliganism and anarchy have no place in the sport, let alone our stadiums which is why this incident brings heavy emotions to Mzansi. The frustration that Khosi Nation is going through is justified and understandable, but the actions are not. Chiefs are trophy-less in 8 years, and they are going to finish yet another season without any silverware since their departure from the Nedbank, at the hands of their noisy neighbours Orlando Pirates. Many fans are suggesting the ‘hooligans' at fault, need to be prosecuted for their actions. During this past week, Kaizer Chiefs management have been quoted saying that they will review Wane's performance come season end, to see if the technical team needs a beef up. Many fans have agreed with this ideology and suggest that Zwane should be demoted to assistant coach, or even a youth coach to gain the invaluable experience needed to coach a team, with a history as big as Chiefs. Mzansi is hoping for a well-versed coach to take the reigns off of Wane's hands, hoping trophies are going to be around the corner. What occurred at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace has since brought on a scare for the club, recently announcing stricter safety protocols for Chiefs match against Cape Town City on Saturday 20 May. Stadium Management hanging director has said that the South Africa Police Service (SAPS) will be on duty in full force come Saturday, as well as security, to be ready for whatever these hooligans are potentially planning. On the latest episode of the Fan Reaction Show, PSL fans share their thoughts on the incident which transpired after Chiefs lost to SuperSport United. The 2022/23 Dstv Premiership title race is well and truly over, but we have an exciting race for second place on our hands. Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United, and Kaizer Chiefs are battling it out to become the second team to represent South Africa in the CAF Champions League. 6 points operate second place Pirates and fourth-placed Chiefs. Gavin Hunt's SuperSport United make up third place with 48 points. When speaking on the Fan Reaction Show, one fan suggests that SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs are making things easy for Pirates with their disappointing results. Pirates will have it all to play for to join Sundowns. South Africa is home to one of the most magnificent stadiums on the continent, Soccer City. Also known as the FND stadium, many are concerned about the attendance that this stadium sees. With a capacity of over 94 000 (ninety-four thousand), we rarely see a sold-out stadium, unless the Soweto Derby is being played, or if Mamelodi Sundowns are in town to face off against Chiefs or Pirates. One fan thinks it's because of the size, and when you are the number of tickets sold and place those fans in a smaller stadium, the turnout is actually really good. When Royal AM traveled to Soweto to face Orlando Pirates, die-hard soccer Fan Mam Joy was denied entry into the match with many suggesting it was because she changed allegiance. Mama Joy was a Pirates fan through and through, but recently made the switch to Royal AM. Videos surfacing on social media suggest her right of entry, with the ticket she purchased, was denied in a calm matter. But the fact remains. Mama Joy eventually goes into the stadium, 57 minutes after kickoff. One cannot forget that this has happened before. It started with Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, then TS Galaxy Chairman Tim Sukazi, and now Mama Joy. Is it time that the PSL and SAFA step in to intervene to stop this barbaric behaviour? But in recent years, including the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season, the glamour boys seem to be missing their killer instincts. Poor decision-making, soft goals, and silly mistakes are the reasons behind their poor run of form which, unfortunately, doesn't look like it is coming to an end. Kaizer Chiefs have now dropped yet another 3 points to Sekhukhune United, who beat Chiefs for the second time this season and now, Chiefs find themselves sitting in 4 position on the log. A top 4 might finish not seem so bad, because they will qualify to compete in the Nedbank Cup, but Chiefs have also been known to play CAF football.
