Moving to the courts, the Democratic Alliance has argued in the Western Cape High Court that any increase to Value-Added Tax (VAT) must be approved by Parliament – not unilaterally implemented by the finance minister. Meanwhile, the man accused of killing a Walter Sisulu University student during a protest is expected to appear in court today. Elsewhere, the EFF has marched to the office of the Northern Cape Premier, calling for a legal review into the existence of the town of Orania. And to wrap up, Wiener brings you the highlights from the weekend in sport. All of this and more.
