Many Christians seek out an opportunity to go on a mission trip because they love God and want to express this love by doing something for God. Or perhaps because they feel compassion for the people who are hurting and want to help.  However, there is so much more hidden in Christ's call to the Great Commission. There are personal rewards that cannot be found unless we respond to this call. This week, our host Helen Todd talks with Scott Presley, a musician at the Presleys' Country Jubliee and a Pastor at Freedom Fellowship Church in Branson, Missouri. The Presley name has been well known in Branson, Missouri since the Presley family had built Branson's first live music theater 55 years ago. With this family history, it's natural that Scott pursued a career in entertainment business. Even though he accepted Christ at an early age and some family members mentioned that he could be a pastor, Scott never considered ministry because of his fear of public speaking. For a while, Scott's faith took second place to his career. Because Sundays were his only day off, he was not able to attend church regularly. But in the summer of 2004, everything changed when him and his wife had a profound spiritual experience. In our conversation, you'll hear how Scott discovered that God has given him so much more than just the gift of music. If you are visiting Branson, Missouri check out Presley's Country Jubilee:https://www.presleys.com/and the Freedom Fellowship Church:https://www.facebook.com/ffcbranson 7:30 - How Scott came to know Jesus personally8:50 - Did Scott consider ministry at a young age?10:15 - Being called to the mission field14:30 - Being changed on the mission field20:20  - Overcoming his fear of public speaking to preach the Gospel Learn more about our upcoming conference at our website: rfwma.org If you would like to learn more about the World Mission Alliance or register for the upcoming conference, visit rfwma.org or email us at podcast@rfwma.org. After you listen to this episode, go to our host website: www.rfwma.org and find out how World Missions Alliance can help you connect to your greater purpose. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of the Limitless Spirit Podcast, click below:Support the show (https://rfwma.org/give)            Email us your questions and comments at podcast@rfwma.orgWMA is 501(c)(3), donations are tax deductible Support the show

Why Every Christian Should Celebrate Easter

Click here to download this podcast All of history, past and present, turned on that Sunday morning. The destiny of the human race changed in that obscure hillside grave. The soldiers were occupied that morning with the concern of being negligent on duty. The High Priests were occupied in covering up the dangers of yet another religious zealot. Pontius Pilate was frustrated with still more difficulties in governing these incomprehensible Jews. The disciples were hiding out of fear there would be more reprisals from the Romans or the Sanhedrin. While the world was occupied with the stuff of life, the realm of the spirit was in great conflict. Notice had been delivered three days earlier. The eternal judgment written against mankind had been nailed to a cross on a rocky crag outside the city walls of Jerusalem. What the Luciferian band thought would be a victory had in fact become a coupe de grace for the powers of hell. Early that Sunday morning, the Holy Spirit had invaded the realm of the dead. Jesus Christ seized from the hands of Lucifer the keys of death and hell. He opened the prison bars of Sheol and led the righteous dead out prison from beneath the earth to Heaven. Many people who were on the streets of Jerusalem that morning saw some of the old prophets of Israel. While life on planet earth continued its usual course, Jesus Christ was winning a major battle against the powers of darkness. This Is Why Every Christian Should Celebrate Easter The whole destiny of mankind was shifting. Satan, Lucifer, that Serpent of old, no longer held the power of death over all mankind. He could no longer hold them captive in Sheol. All who will live godly in Christ Jesus live no longer under the fear of death; “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Human beings do not have to live as prisoners of habits and sin, then die and be eternally lost in hell. It is for freedom that Christ has made us free, both here and now and lives eternally in Heaven and the Kingdom of God. Life as mankind had known it was experiencing a whole paradigm shift that Sunday morning. John the Baptist had consistently referred to Jesus Christ as the one who would send the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “It is expedient for you that I go away.”   Learn how you can read the signs of the times through the prism of history in this powerful course Where Are We At On God's Timeclock Get 30% off when you use the coupon code: timeclock Jesus' resurrection from the dead made it possible for every human being to receive the same Holy Spirit that brought resurrection life to Jesus’ body. Now, that same Spirit will bring resurrection life to every person who will receive it. The disciples of Jesus were no longer cowering in fear and doubting after they received the Holy Spirit. They became bold, godly men and women who filled the City of Jerusalem with the Gospel and turned the world upside down. It can be the same for every person. When you receive Jesus Christ you receive the Holy Spirit living in your heart, imparting resurrection power to your life. You are no longer obligated to live by the old life source; the old habits; the old attitudes; the old thinking; the old world view. You can live in “newness of life.” You are a new creation. Old things have been done away with. Everything in your life is brand new and everything is of God! The same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in you. Regardless of your race, color, social status, career, or your past and present circumstances. Your daily living, your future and your identity can be lived in the fullness of His presence and power as an adopted child of God. Wow, that is true joy!
