After two weeks of hearings at the Royal Commission into Antisemitism and Social Cohesion, Australians have a clear picture of a Jewish community experiencing harassment and violence – in the classroom, the campus, the streets, even some workplaces. The commission also heard different opinions on what antisemitism is -- and what's political protest.GUEST:Professor DAVID SLUCKI is director of the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation at Monash University. He's been following the hearings. Part 3. After the StormPolice in the US city of San Diego are treating as a hate crime an attack on a local mosque, in which two teenage boys killed three people then took their own lives. Without the heroic actions of a security guard, they say the attack could have been even worse. San Diego echoes an immense tragedy that took place 7 years ago, much closer to home. An Australian gunman slaughtered 51 Muslims at peaceful prayer at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. This week is the third and final part of our series, After the Storm: How faith and friendship helped three religious communities overcome violent attack, which you can find in podcast at ABC Listen. We recall the Christchurch tragedy with a man who survived but bearing a terrible loss. Piyush Mishra brings his full self to this live Jashn-e-Rekhta session, sharp humour, raw memories, music, poetry, and the kind of honesty that refuses to sound rehearsed. In this conversation, he opens up about love, heartbreak, and why today's fast-moving Gen Z relationships often miss the patience and depth of old-school romance. He speaks about acting as imagination, not just technique, and shares hard-earned truths from his early Mumbai days, when survival, writing, theatre, and cinema were all part of the same struggle. The discussion moves from NSD and the myth of instant fame to the emotional cost of chasing art in a city like Mumbai. Piyush Mishra reflects on guilt, ego, Vipassana, alcoholism, truth, and the personal battles that shaped his voice as an artist. He also recalls Anurag Kashyap, Kay Kay Menon, and the creative integrity behind Black Friday.Alongside the conversation, the session carries powerful musical moments and memories connected to Ek Bagal Mein Chand Hoga, Aarambh Hai Prachand, and Husna. From Bhagat Singh and Faiz Ahmad Faiz to Partition pain and the loneliness of the artist, this episode is a rare mix of laughter, confession, music, and literary fire.Listen to Piyush Mishra at his most unfiltered, poetic, funny, wounded, and alive.

When people stop replying. When doors stay closed no matter how many times you knock. Like many others, you probably return to one thing: You make wudu. You raise your hands… or you fall into sujood. “Ya Allah…” and instead of words, only tears come out. Because in your weakest moments, you need Him the most. You know that He's aware of what you've lost, what you've tried to hide, what still hurts. You realise He's the only one who truly knows you… but do you know Him? That's where this journey begins. Knowing the Names and Attributes of Allah - a new AMAU series where Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble explains Fiqh al-Asma al-Husna by Sheikh Abdur Razzaq al-Badr (حفظه الله). In this first lesson, you'll uncover why this knowledge is the foundation of Iman, why every prayer, every du'a, every act of worship stands or falls on how well you know your Lord. You'll learn what it truly means to have fiqh of Allah's Names, and how knowing Him transforms everything - your worship, your patience, your peace. Because once you truly know who He is… you'll never feel lost again.
