“The primary potencies of the Absolute Truth are mentioned to be three: internal, external and marginal. By the acts of His internal potency, the Personality of Godhead in His original form exhibits the spiritual cosmic manifestations known as the eternal Vaikunthalokas, which exist eternally, even after the destruction of the material cosmic manifestation. By His marginal potency the Lord expands Himself as living beings who are part of Him, just as the sun distributes its rays in all directions. By His external potency the Lord manifests the material creation, just as the sun with its rays creates fog. The material creation is but a perverse reflection of the eternal Vaikuntha nature.” (Shrila Prabhupada, Chaitanya Charitamrita, Adi 2.96 Purport)

Lord Caitanya has said that in this age no one needs to change his position, but one should give up the endeavor to understand the Absolute Truth by speculative reasoning. One should learn to become the servant of those who are in knowledge of the Supreme Lord. If one is fortunate enough to take shelter of a pure devotee, hear from him about self-realization and follow in his footsteps, one will be gradually elevated to the position of a pure devotee. In this verse particularly, the process of hearing is strongly recommended, and this is very appropriate. Although the common man is often not as capable as so-called philosophers, faithful hearing from an authoritative person will help one transcend this material existence and go back to Godhead, back to home. (BG 13.26,purport) And, of course, in the purport, Prabhupāda is referring to Lord Brahmā, who in the Tenth Canto, 14th Chapter, says: jñāne prayāsam udapāsya namanta eva jīvanti san-mukharitāṁ bhavadīya-vārtām sthāne sthitāḥ śruti-gatāṁ tanu-vāṅ-manobhir ye prāyaśo 'jita jito 'py asi tais tri-lokyām This verse was spoken by Lord Brahmā, who is an intellectual. In fact he studied the Vedas three times. How many here have studied all the Vedas three times, or the Bhagavad-gītā, for that matter? So, he had studied them three times. He is smart enough to take on the duties of recreating the material world when it comes into being. Of course, he is a devotee. He met Kṛṣṇa in Vṛndāvana. We know the pastime of how Kṛṣṇa had bewildered him—the Brahmā-vimohana-līlā. He was bewildered by the mystic power of Kṛṣṇa. When Brahmā had stolen away the calves and cowherd friends, Kṛṣṇa re-manifested them exactly as they were before. So, there were two sets: one that Brahmā had stolen, and the ones that were now marching around town. After seeing that all of them were emanations from Kṛṣṇa, and realizing that this little cowherd boy, who was eating with His left hand, was not to be trifled with—that He was the Supreme Personality of Godhead—he offered these prayers. Near the beginning of his prayers, jñāne prayāsam udapāsya namanta eva, says: "Give up trying to understand God by your own power." And sthāne sthitāḥ śruti-gatāṁ tanu-vāṅ-manobhir says: "Submissively hear in the association of devotees about Kṛṣṇa." From that, one will come to this superior form of devotional service, which means that Kṛṣṇa is conquered by your love and submission. Ajita jito —the Ajita (the unconquerable) becomes jita (conquered); it means He is conquered by love. So, how can one come to that position? Not by erudite scholarship, but by humbly and submissively hearing from those who have knowledge, as Prabhupāda points out here, and being submissive in one's service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. So, there is such a thing as submissive hearing. There is also an argumentative state of mind. Of course it doesn't mean that we can't discuss the siddhānta thoroughly, threadbare. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter Twelve Devotional Service TEXT 1: Arjuna inquired: Which are considered to be more perfect, those who are always properly engaged in Your devotional service or those who worship the impersonal Brahman, the unmanifested? TEXT 2: The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Those who fix their minds on My personal form and are always engaged in worshiping Me with great and transcendental faith are considered by Me to be most perfect. TEXTS 3-4: But those who fully worship the unmanifested, that which lies beyond the perception of the senses, the all-pervading, inconceivable, unchanging, fixed and immovable – the impersonal conception of the Absolute Truth – by controlling the various senses and being equally disposed to everyone, such persons, engaged in the welfare of all, at last achieve Me. TEXT 5: For those whose minds are attached to the unmanifested, impersonal feature of the Supreme, advancement is very troublesome. To make progress in that discipline is always difficult for those who are embodied. TEXTS 6-7: But those who worship Me, giving up all their activities unto Me and being devoted to Me without deviation, engaged in devotional service and always meditating upon Me, having fixed their minds upon Me, O son of Pṛthā – for them I am the swift deliverer from the ocean of birth and death. TEXT 8: Just fix your mind upon Me, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and engage all your intelligence in Me. Thus you will live in Me always, without a doubt. TEXT 9: My dear Arjuna, O winner of wealth, if you cannot fix your mind upon Me without deviation, then follow the regulative principles of bhakti-yoga. In this way develop a desire to attain Me. TEXT 10: If you cannot practice the regulations of bhakti-yoga, then just try to work for Me, because by working for Me you will come to the perfect stage. TEXT 11: If, however, you are unable to work in this consciousness of Me, then try to act giving up all results of your work and try to be self-situated. TEXT 12: If you cannot take to this practice, then engage yourself in the cultivation of knowledge. Better than knowledge, however, is meditation, and better than meditation is renunciation of the fruits of action, for by such renunciation one can attain peace of mind. TEXTS 13-14: One who is not envious but is a kind friend to all living entities, who does not think himself a proprietor and is free from false ego, who is equal in both happiness and distress, who is tolerant, always satisfied, self-controlled, and engaged in devotional service with determination, his mind and intelligence fixed on Me – such a devotee of Mine is very dear to Me. TEXT 15: He by whom no one is put into difficulty and who is not disturbed by anyone, who is equipoised in happiness and distress, fear and anxiety, is very dear to Me. TEXT 16: My devotee who is not dependent on the ordinary course of activities, who is pure, expert, without cares, free from all pains, and not striving for some result, is very dear to Me. TEXT 17: One who neither rejoices nor grieves, who neither laments nor desires, and who renounces both auspicious and inauspicious things – such a devotee is very dear to Me. TEXTS 18-19: One who is equal to friends and enemies, who is equipoised in honor and dishonor, heat and cold, happiness and distress, fame and infamy, who is always free from contaminating association, always silent and satisfied with anything, who doesn't care for any residence, who is fixed in knowledge and who is engaged in devotional service – such a person is very dear to Me. TEXT 20: Those who follow this imperishable path of devotional service and who completely engage themselves with faith, making Me the supreme goal, are very, very dear to Me.

Raised in the canyons as the son of a science professor, Phil Millett developed a deep love for the natural world at an early age. While other kids spent their time on ball fields and in gyms, Phil wandered mountains and streams, searching for understanding in the world around him. Over time, those experiences led him not away from faith, but toward it. On this week's episode, Phil shares how nature has helped him recognize evidence of a divine Creator—and the spiritual lessons he's learned from a lifetime of exploring God's creations. 2:10- Falling in Love With Mother Nature 5:19- Cycles 8:05- Creation 12:05- Absolute Truth 17:22- The Brotherhood of the Rope 33:04- The Loss of a Best Friend and the Atonement 48:07- What Does It Mean To Be All In the Gospel of Jesus Christ? What would the Truth be? God's Love and Peace and Joy created a Cosmos and that Love is the Only Reality. Everything else not love, coming from fear, and the "hell" that we made up, is a projection, an illusion of some complex of "thoughts" that are not in alignment with this Absolute Reality. A hard "pill" to swallow at first, until one sees this is a "declaration of release" from all the painful dramas the ego made up. When we "seek to reach the Truth" of this Ultimate Reality, we will have it. No one can fail who really seeks this Absolute Truth. All the universe guides us toward this "doorway into heaven."

This week on Beyond Sunday, Josh Hensley is joined by Michael Shearon, Brandon Tubbs, and Justin Eshenbaugh for a lively conversation centered on truth, honesty, and the cultural confusion surrounding absolute truth. The episode kicks off with a fun game called “Absolute Truth?”, setting the tone for a discussion about how culture often blurs the lines between personal opinion and objective truth. From humorous takes to deeper reflections, the group explores how quickly conversations about truth can shift depending on perspective. As the conversation deepens, the team reflects on the biblical claim that truth ultimately has a source—Jesus Himself—and how that reality challenges the modern belief that everyone gets to define truth for themselves. They talk about how lies shape behavior, why culture often resists the idea of absolute truth, and why Jesus' bold declaration of who He is demands a response from every person. With a mix of humor and thoughtful discussion, the episode invites listeners to consider whether their beliefs are rooted in opinion or anchored in the truth revealed through Christ.

Today is the day before our Spring SHARE begins, and we spent time praising God's power in our lives. We asked callers, "What reminds you of what you've been saved from?" One of our guests included Jed Coppenger. He is the lead pastor of First Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia. He is also a speaker and author. We highlighted his book, "Fake Christianity: 10 Traps of an Inauthentic Faith", as we discussed the influence of counterfeit gospels in our culture. Then, we had Dr. Andy Bannister join us to discuss how to know the absolute Truth and share that Truth with someone in a loving and gentle way when there are opposing ideas. Dr. Bannister is the Director of Solas, and he speaks and teaches regularly throughout the UK, Europe, Canada, the USA, and the wider world. He addresses audiences of Christians and people of all faiths, or none, on issues related to faith, culture, politics, and society. He also hosts 2 podcasts called PEP Talk and Pod of the Gaps. He also wrote several books, including “Have you Ever Wondred?" Finally, we invited Dr. Hormoz Shariat back for more updates on the situation in Iran. Dr. Shariat is the Founder and President of Iran Alive Ministries (IAM), which uses satellite broadcasting and the internet to reach Iranians with the gospel. Dr. Shariat has been named “the Billy Graham of Iran” and “the most influential Iranian American” by Christianity Today.Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this podcast, Bhante Sathi explores the Buddhist concept of truth, distinguishing between conventional truth, which depends on conditions and shared experiences, and absolute truth, which reflects the impermanent and non-self nature of reality. He explains how attachment to personal perspectives causes suffering and conflict, and how meditation helps us directly perceive the impermanent, conditioned nature of existence. Ultimately, understanding absolute truth allows one to live compassionately and peacefully within conventional life without being controlled by it.

Yoga Wisdom with Acharya das

This is quite a long talk, on a very fascinating topic, delivered by Acharya das in the Philippines. It is a comprehensive look into the question of spiritual identity, God-realization, and the resultant experience of the awakening of transcendental and ecstatic love for God which naturally arises from that.Acharya das outlines three essential questions for self-realization: What is my essence? (spiritual being), What is my position? (subservient part and parcel of God, not the center of everything), and What is my natural function? (to love and serve). He described how material consciousness leads people to try becoming "mini-gods," placing themselves at the center of “their” universe, which ultimately results in emptiness and unhappiness. Regarding God-realization, he explained three aspects of God's manifestation: Brahman (impersonal spiritual energy), Paramatma (the expansion of God within the heart of all beings), and Bhagavan (the personal form of God in a spiritual realm). The speaker emphasized that love is an exchange between persons and that every soul has an eternal and intimate connection with God who is their true soulmate. He next explains that pure love for God already exists within everyone's heart and doesn't need to be acquired from external sources. Through the process of bhakti-yoga (devotional practice), particularly chanting God's holy names, this dormant love naturally awakens as the heart becomes purified. Some of the verses he quoted or which support this topic:God - He is the eternal among all eternal entities, and the chief conscious being among all conscious beings. Among the many living entities, He is the chief, who fulfills their desires. Śvetāsvatara Upaniṣad 6.13 & Kaṭha Upaniṣad 2.2.13The same jīva (spirit-soul) is eternal and is for eternity and without a beginning joined to the Supreme Lord by the tie of an eternal kinship. He is transcendental spiritual potency. - Śrī Brahma-saṁhitā 5.21Learned transcendentalists who know the Absolute Truth call this nondual substance Brahman, Paramātmā or Bhagavān. ‐ Bhāgavata Purāṇa 1.2.11“Pure love for Kṛṣṇa is eternally established in the hearts of the living entities. It is not something to be gained from another source. When the heart is purified by hearing and chanting, this love naturally awakens. — Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Madhya-līlā 22.107“By chanting the holy name of the Lord, one dissolves his entanglement in material activities. After this, one becomes very attracted to Krishna, and thus dormant love for Krishna is awakened.” — Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Madhya-līlā 15.109CHAPTERS00:01:13 Introduction to Soul vs. Body Identity ‎ 00:05:47The Reality of Death and Eternal Nature of the Soul ‎ 00:09:33 The Vedic Teaching on Individual Soul and Supreme Soul ‎ 00:14:07 Self-Realization: Understanding Essence, Position, and Function ‎ 00:21:34 The Problem of Material Consciousness and Mini-God Mentality ‎ 00:27:40 Natural Function: The Joy of Service and Giving ‎ ‎00:34:18 Three Aspects of God: Brahman, Paramatma, and Bhagavan 00:41:22 The Eternal Relationship and Two Birds Analogy ‎ 00:51:39 The Supreme Teaching of Love and Common Misconceptions ‎ 00:55:05 The Nature of Love and Three Aspects of God Continued ‎ 00:56:52 The Process of Awakening Dormant Love ‎ 01:01:10 Sadhana Bhakti: The Practice of Devotional Service ‎ 01:05:12 Meditation as Spiritual Immersion, Not Mental Activity ‎ 01:23:29 Kirtan

In this part, Swamiji explains the six questions raised by the sages of Naimisharanya and how Suta Goswami answered them. The sages asked: what is the highest welfare in Kali Yuga, the essence of all scriptures, the reason for Krishna's descent, His divine pastimes, the other avatars of God, and where Dharma resides after His departure.  Suta Goswami revealed that the supreme Dharma is pure devotion to the Lord, free from selfish motives. He clarified that the Absolute Truth is realized in three aspects — Brahman, Paramatma, and Bhagavan — with Bhagavan, the personal form of God, being supreme. The Lord descends to uplift souls, restore Dharma, and reveal His purifying pastimes.  Swamiji then narrates the 24 principal avatars of God described in the Bhagavatam: the Four Kumaras, Varaha, Narad, Nar‑Narayan, Kapil, Dattatreya, Yajna, Rishabh, Prithu, Matsya, Kurma, Dhanvantari, Mohini, Narsimha, Vaman, Parashuram, Vyas, Ram, Balaram, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki who will appear at the end of Kali Yuga. Each avatar demonstrates a unique aspect of divine compassion, guidance, and protection.  This part emphasizes that after Krishna's departure, Dharma has taken shelter in the Srimad Bhagavatam, which shines like the sun to dispel the darkness of Kali Yuga.  About Swami Mukundananda:    Swami Mukundananda is a renowned spiritual leader, Vedic scholar, Bhakti saint, best‑selling author, and an international authority on the subject of mind management.   In this part, Swamiji explains how Srimad Bhagavatam begins with Vyasa offering respects to the Absolute Truth, without limiting to any sectarian name, so that all seekers can relate. He clarifies the difference between relative truths and the one Absolute Truth — the Supreme Lord from whom the world emanates and upon whom everything rests.  Swamiji highlights that the Bhagavatam is kaithavrahit — free from cheating religion. Unlike materialistic or self‑serving practices, it presents the pure Dharma of selfless love for God. Dharma here means the conduct and values that lead to auspiciousness and liberation, untainted by worldly motives.  He further explains that the Bhagavatam is the ripened fruit of Vedic knowledge, relished by Shukadev Ji, and offered to all souls as nectar of divine bliss. It is meant to be “drunk” through the ears with devotion, not merely read or heard mechanically. Only with a devotional heart can one truly taste its sweetness.  This part establishes that the path of righteousness in the Bhagavatam is pure Bhakti — devotion to the Absolute Truth — which alone is the essence of Dharma and the highest good for humanity.  About Swami Mukundananda:    Swami Mukundananda is a renowned spiritual leader, Vedic scholar, Bhakti saint, best‑selling author, and an international authority on the subject of mind management. In Kṛṣṇa's greatness, He has the power to reveal Himself to us. If you're going for a job interview, you really need the job—but they don't really need you—they're going to listen to 200 applicants. What is your attitude when you go in? Consider that relationship. I'm not saying it's synonymous with our relationship with Kṛṣṇa because, unlike a cold-hearted employer, Kṛṣṇa is always our friend. Gajendra says this when he talks about being in peril; he tells the Lord, 'You're always attentive to me, not just when I pray. Even before I come into a hyper-state of neediness and start praying to You, You already are attentive to my needs and desires. You've always been fulfilling them, and You've always been there for me.' It's just that, now, I've woken up to another state of consciousness and I need You. But we have to consider our relationship with Kṛṣṇa. This is the methodology of bhakti: it's not that we pry knowledge from the Absolute Truth; not that we demand, or that we have a sense of entitlement. All of these are prohibitive of realizing our relationship with Kṛṣṇa. This is one of the topics Kṛṣṇa talks about in the Bhagavad-gītā, in the 13th Chapter, when He talks about our relationship with the world—that we are consciousness and the rest of the material manifestation is mechanical. We're very different from the mechanical nature of the world. And then He gives this list of 20 attitudes that allow us to understand our nature and the nature of God. It starts with humility, and then the second one is pridelessness. It goes on from there with very 'non-scientific' approaches—at least, non-scientific in terms of the idea that the empiric observer, through discipline and the controlled experiment, can pry knowledge from material nature.God can't be controlled. So, how are you going to have a controlled experiment? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

This episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson takes a hard look at the growing contradictions surrounding Erika Kirk and the direction of TPUSA's AmFest (or should I say IsFest). From Charlie Kirk's own recorded warnings about bad cultural role models to TPUSA turning around and platforming those very same celebrities (Nicki Minaj included) whose lifestyles openly contradict Christian teaching, the hypocrisy is no longer ignorable. We're breaking down how moral inconsistency, pop-culture appeasement, and ideological confusion are rotting the conservative movement from the inside out. America First cannot exist without Christianity first—not as a buzzword, not as branding, but as the moral and cultural foundation of who we are. And right now, we are watching our spiritual and national identity slip away in real time. When so-called Christian leaders blur lines, excuse the very behavior they once condemned, and choose influence over truth, they don't just lose credibility, they lose the plot (and they lose the people who trusted them). This episode is a call for honesty, consistency, and real conservative leadership rooted in the Christian values they claim to stand for. Not clout, not platforms, and not sinful worldliness. We don't need people playing leaders. We need actual leadership.—https://www.bible.com/

Rūpa Goswāmī explains that we understand the hierarchy of The Lord's manifestations in terms of His qualities. And one of His qualities is that He plays a flute. Think about that: He is a musician. Once, when somebody asked Prabhupāda why Kṛṣṇa (God) plays a flute, Girirāj Mahārāj told us, Prabhupāda said it means that He is all play and no work. In the 1960s, way before you guys were born, here in the Bay Area, you could have a sighting of a certain kind of creature called the hippie. And lots of hippies played flutes. They also had bare feet, just like Kṛṣṇa is bare feet, and they had long hair, just like Kṛṣṇa has long hair. They played their flute, and they'd sit on the sidewalk. They had an idea also that they would be all play and no work. But it didn't work out, because then the '70s came, and then the '80s, and everything was finished, because everyone went back to business school and forgot about being hippies. They had to work hard, and most of them died early. So utopia, or the land of eternal happiness, is there in this association with Kṛṣṇa. And it comes down through sound when Kṛṣṇa plays His flute. Brahmā, the first living being in the universe, hears it. Then he realizes the Absolute Truth through the flute sound. That same sound can be transferred from one devotee to the next. Prabhupāda gives a statement, which we should not overlook, in his purport to a verse in the Madhya Līlā, in which he says that same flute sound that Brahmā heard at the beginning of creation, which endowed upon him enlightenment, is fully present now in the form of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahāmantra. So, we should listen for that sound. Our purpose in life is to organize in such a way that we can hear the sound of the spiritual world. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

In this episode, we dive deep with philosopher of physics Wayne Myrvold to puncture entropy clichés and reframe thermodynamics as a resource theory. He argues the “entropy always increases” slogan is a consequence—not the law—and shows that Clausius's entropy is defined only given the second law, while Gibbs vs. Boltzmann entropies answer different questions (“which entropy?”). We tour Maxwell's demon, Landauer erasure, available energy/Helmholtz free energy, and why, once fluctuations matter, Carnot efficiency is only a statistical bound. Along the way: macrostates vs. microstates, why “disorder” misleads, ergodicity's limited relevance, whether the universe is an isolated system, heat death as resource exhaustion, and how collapse theories would rewrite the story. We even touch QFT/stat-mech pedagogy and career advice. If you're curious about what entropy really is—and how information, agency, and objectives change the answer—this one's for you. The genius of the bhakti tradition's sacred texts is how they reveal the loftiest yogic and theological truths through the sweetest intimacy. The Cosmic Source described in the Vedas and the Absolute Truth of the Vedānta Sūtra is revealed in the Bhagavatam as Krishna, a mischievous, playful child—the most adorable boy. When Mother Yaśodā peers into Krishna's mouth, she doesn't just see her son—she sees the entire universe. In this paradox of infinite divinity wrapped in childlike charm, bhakti uncovers a truth both cosmic and deeply personal. In our existence in this world, we carry the burdens of duty, judgment, and anger—and then we project them onto God. But reality? He's just playing His flute, dancing, and inviting us back into a life of divine play (lila). In today's Wisdom of the Sages, Raghunath and Kaustubha reveal a revolutionary truth rooted in the Upanishads, the Vedānta Sūtra, and the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam: the Absolute Truth isn't weighed down by judgment or duty—the Absolute's only “business” is joyful līlā, or divine play. So why all the suffering and conflict in this world? We break down why Advaita Vedanta struggles to answer this—and how Bhakti Vedanta offers a beautiful, clear vision: the spiritual world is pure play, and the material world exists to help us remember how to “play nice” again. Key Highlights: * Why Ram, even when fighting Ravana, was just playing with His friends (yes, the monkeys
