They are children who watch other kids run into their parents' arms while they stand alone, carrying a pain in their small chests they don't yet have words for. Anyone can claim to love orphans, then move on with life. When it comes to action, most will send money and feel they've done their part. But money isn't what they need most. They need a family, a home where they belong, someone who lifts them to their shoulders, someone who knows what they love to eat. This reminder by Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan uncovers what it truly means to care for an orphan: not just giving, but living with them, protecting them, and filling their world with mercy until their smile softens your heart and brings tears to your eyes. If you want to be with the Prophet ﷺ in Jannah like two fingers joined together, that's how close you have to be to orphans in this Dunya. A man once asked ‘Abdullah Ibn Masʿūd رضي الله عنه: “Tell us about the Hellfire. What is it like?” He replied: “If you were to see it, your heart would be dislodged from its place.” Jahannam is real. It exists as you read this. It's waiting. Its terror goes beyond imagination. Flames that crush the bones, melt the skin, and burn to the heart... only for the skin to return and burn again. Chains that shackle every limb. Boiling tar that coats the body. Molten drink that tears the insides apart while screams echo in despair, unanswered. In this gripping reminder, Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble takes you deep into the Qur'an and hadith that uncover the Fire's horrors like you've never heard before: the angels that drag people on their faces, the seven gates each awaiting its share, and the endless punishments that drive its inmates to beg for death… only to hear: “Burn in it, and don't speak to Me.” This isn't a talk to play in the background. This is the reminder that could save you from the fire whose fuel is men and stones. Watch it. Fear it. Change before it's too late. On one side, the Prophet ﷺ said, “The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets.” On the other, scroll through Muslim spaces on social media and you'll see comments like: “Scholars for dollars.” “Agents of the government.” “Bootlickers.” It's easy to join the noise until you realise what you're signing up for: - The blessings of true Islamic knowledge - The slow death of your heart, poisoned by mockery and arrogance But what about those who do attend their gatherings, watch their lectures, and sit in their circles? Are they fulfilling the rights due to the scholars? Or has the honour faded even among those who claim to benefit? In this powerful session, Shaikh Dr. Asim Al-Qaryooti - translated by Sheikh Sadiq A. Yasin - outlines: - The exact rights Islam gives our scholars, in life and after death - The etiquettes we must uphold, and the real danger in neglecting them - What the Salaf did differently — and how far we've drifted - Why slandering scholars doesn't just harm them, but damages the Ummah itself - And the simple, transformative path back to adab, dignity, and divine mercy The question is no longer “do you listen to them?” It's “Do you treat them as Islam commands?” Sign up now to AMAU Academy: https://www.amauacademy.com/ AMAU Academy: https://www.amauacademy.com/ AMAU Junior: https://amaujunior.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/amauofficial/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/AMAU Telegram: https://t.me/amauofficial YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/AMAUofficial Twitter: https://twitter.com/AMAUofficial iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/al-madrasatu-al-umariyyah/id1524526782 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/08NJC1pIA0maaF6aKqZL4N Get in Touch: https://amau.org/getintouch BarakAllahu feekum. #AMAU #islamicscholar #islam #islamiclectures #islamicmotivation
They cleaned you when you couldn't clean yourself, stayed awake through your fevers, and prayed for you when you didn't even know how to pray. They grew old while raising you. Their hair turned grey while giving you comfort. Now, they call you, and you're “busy.” They ask for a small favour, and you sigh. They raise their hands to make du'a for you… And you make them cry? Allah mentioned the parents' rights right after His own. The Prophet ﷺ ranked obedience to parents above fighting on the battlefield. Yet today, many of us are strict with our prayers, yet harsh with the very people who brought us into this world. This reminder by Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan isn't just knowledge, it's a mirror. It shows you where you truly stand with your parents, and with Allah. Watch it. Reflect. Change before the door of Jannah through your parents closes forever. Did you ever wonder how the Prophet ﷺ could say a few words that contain enough wisdom to drive forward entire nations and civilisations? It had to be that way. He's the last Prophet sent to mankind, so his teachings needed to echo until the end of time. To get a taste of this blessing in his ﷺ speech, study Jawami‘ al-Akhbar - a collection of 99 short hadith, compiled by the great scholar Sheikh ‘Abdur-Rahman ibn Nasir as-Sa‘di رحمه الله. Every hadith shows the unique gift Allah gave our Prophet ﷺ: words few in number, but vast in meaning. In this first part, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains how these concise hadith reach nearly every part of your religion. You'll hear reminders about purifying your intention, protecting your worship from showing off, staying on your fitrah, and guarding your heart from hypocrisy. You'll see how these hadith pull you back to gratitude, honesty, good manners, and the unity that holds the Ummah together. It's not just about memorising short phrases. It's about letting these words shape how you pray, learn, speak, and deal with people, so that when you stand before Allah, you've done things right. If you want to study the Prophet's ﷺ speech the way it deserves, start here. May Allah make these words a light for you in this life and the next. You wake up already tired. The mind's racing before your feet even touch the ground. You pray, but it feels like a routine. You open the Qur'an, but the words blur. You smile, you function… but inside, you're drained. Some days, you're not even sad. Just numb. On edge. Like you're bracing for something, but you don't know what. You try everything, you listen to reminders… but your heart still feels far. Unmoved. Heavy. And in the quiet moments, that lingering thought creeps in: “Why do I still feel like this… even when I'm trying?” In this powerful reminder, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan gets straight to what most of us avoid talking about. He brings to light the root of that restlessness, the reason behind the inner noise, the tightness, the emptiness, even while doing all the “right” things. If you've been feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or just off, and you've been searching for peace but can't seem to feel it, this is for you. Not vague advice. Not surface-level comfort. But something real. Something your heart might've been needing all along. You think your Iman is safe… that you'll die with it intact, no matter what. But watch how quickly it gets chipped away when doubts come dressed as trends, debates, or posts that sound clever — until your heart's spinning at night, wondering what's true. Your Aqeedah isn't just a label. It's your shield when the world keeps pushing you to blur the lines. And a shield only works if you know what you're holding. Manzoomah Al-Ahsaai isn't just an old poem for scholars to memorise — it's a lifeline. A clear, powerful map of the beliefs every Muslim needs to anchor their heart. In this 5-hour deep dive, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan unpacks each line with proofs from the Qur'an, Sunnah, and the way of the Salaf. You'll see why Tawheed, Qadr, the grave, the scales, and the Day you see Allah — none of it is just theory. It's what keeps your Iman steady when everyone's telling you to loosen your grip. You've got 168 hours for the world's noise this week. Take just five to strengthen what matters more than anything else. Study the kind of Aqeedah that lets you sleep at night when the doubts hit, the debates rage, and your soul whispers: “Where do I stand?” May Allah keep our creed pure and our hearts firm. Watch till the end. Share it with someone who's searching for solid ground right now. And keep building your Aqeedah like the Salaf did — step by step, truth by truth. Why do sins that once made the Salaf tremble now sit so calmly on our shoulders? You disobey Allah and feel nothing. No uneasiness, no fear that His punishment could strike in an instant, no dread of growing distant from Him. Why do your eyes stay dry, refusing to shed even a single tear alone in the dark, out of fear of His anger? Those same sins that would steal their sleep pass through us like shadows. We walk on, hearts heavy yet hollow. In this lesson from the explanation of the book Ad-Daa' Wa Ad-Dawaa' by Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan shares piercing words and Aathaar from the Salaf on the topic of sin. They saw how entire communities fall when people keep sinning without shame. Corrupt leaders rise. Families break apart. Blessings slip through our fingers. All because we sin and don't care. When was the last time your heart flinched at a sin? Or has it turned numb, just drifting? This is your chance to wake up before it's too late. If you're outside right now, or the next time you are, just watch what happens when a woman passes by men sitting at their shops, talking on their phones, or waiting at the red lights. Notice where their eyes go. Notice what they stare at. You'll get the point. And if you're a woman yourself: You'll thank Allah for legislating the Hijab. In this episode of the explanation of الأربعون النسائية (Al-Arbaeen An-Nisaa'iyyah — The Forty Hadiths for Women), Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains the third hadith, where the Prophet ﷺ said something every Muslimah should remember before stepping out of her house. He shows how Shaytan seizes that moment not just to tempt her, but to spread fitnah among men and women alike. Think about what we see on social media every day. Do we realise what doors we open when we put ourselves out there? All those pictures, videos, and posts that stay long after we're gone? This hadith doesn't just mention a ruling. It opens our eyes to the hidden harms, the subtle traps, and the better ways our mothers, wives, sisters, and daughters can protect themselves. Watch till the end to see how our Salaf understood this, and why ignoring it only brings regret in this life, and worse in the next. Neither the speaker nor this channel endorses any form of violence, oppression, or harm toward innocent people in any way. A believer faces a war on all fronts — the enemy within, the whispers of Shaytan, and those who fight the truth openly and from within. In this powerful episode of the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explores how the Prophet ﷺ shaped an Ummah ready for every battlefield — starting with the one inside. Long before swords were drawn at Badr, Uhud and Khandaq, the Companions رضي الله عنهم learned to conquer their own desires, doubts, and fears. You'll see how the early Muslims were trained verse by verse, heart by heart — building an unshakeable fortress of knowledge, action, patience and sincerity. You'll learn about the believer's weapons: Iman that shields the heart, knowledge that exposes every lie, patience that locks down the Nafs, and a sword that rises only when commanded — not by rage or ulterior motives, but by revelation and wisdom. And when the external fight came — with disbelievers, hypocrites, and open enemies — they were ready. Their victory began before the battlefield, in the quiet moments of struggle against themselves. Which enemy is closest to you? Are you armed for all four fights? Watch and rediscover the battles you face daily — and the Seerah that still guides every step. What good is saying “I believe” when you've never checked if your belief is sound? What good is loving Allah while ignoring the commands of His Messenger ﷺ — or bending His Sunnah to fit what feels easy? In an age drowning in slogans, half-truths, and refutation videos made by teenage “Dawah” warriors, this reminder cuts deeper. Everyone says La ilaha illallah. But how many know what it really demands — and what it costs if you get it wrong? This explanation of Miftah Dar As-Salam by Al-Hafidh Al-Hakami, delivered by Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan, peels back the layers. It shows what it means to claim Tawhid with knowledge, certainty, and sincerity — and what it means when we don't. What does your Shahada tie you to? What happens when love for Allah is mixed with half-hearted submission? Where does innovation slip in when you think you're safe? Some answers will reassure you. Others will shake you. Let's be honest. Most of us want to grow in our Deen — but we keep putting off studying Islam. Or worse, we think watching videos, googling fatwas, and reading a few posts online is enough. But the reality is: You were created to know Allah. And that doesn't happen by scrolling or skimming — it happens through seeking knowledge the right way. In this raw and important reminder, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan lays it all out: - Why studying Islam isn't just for scholars — it's for you - How shyness and arrogance keep Muslims stuck in ignorance - Why some ignorance won't be excused on the Day of Judgement - The danger of learning without teachers, tarbiyah, or proper understanding - And what true Islamic learning looked like at the time of the Prophet ﷺ If you've ever said, “I want to learn properly, I just don't know where to start…” Start here. This poet once insulted the Prophet ﷺ — then stood before him, recited new verses… and walked away wearing the Prophet's ﷺ cloak. This is the true story of Banat Su'ad: a poem that turned an enemy into a forgiven companion. Kaʿb ibn Zuhayr was once known for mocking the Prophet ﷺ and attacking his family with his words. Fearing for his life, he came to Madinah, sat in front of the Prophet ﷺ, and asked, “If Kaʿb came to you now and accepted Islam, would you forgive him?” When the Prophet ﷺ said yes, Kaʿb revealed himself and recited Banat Su'ad — a masterpiece of Arabic poetry, rich with imagery, fear, and hope. The Prophet ﷺ listened without interruption, moved by Kaʿb's sincerity and eloquence. Then, in a moment that made history, he ﷺ removed his Burdah and placed it over Kaʿb's shoulders — and the poem came to be known as Qaseedah al-Burdah. In this video, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan unpacks the poem's language, striking metaphors, and timeless lessons behind each verse. Witness how one poem turned mockery into mercy — and why Banat Su'ad is still recited and studied by seekers of knowledge to this day. This classical Arabic poem isn't just eloquent — it's dangerous. Laamiyah al-Arab is the voice of Shanfara, a man betrayed by blood, raised by the one who killed his father, and driven to the wild. He swore vengeance. He lived with wolves. He wrote verses that shook Arabic literature. Something to wonder: Why are scholars of our religion teaching his words? Because this poem is a map of the Arabic language. Every line, explained here by Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan, reveals meanings buried deep in the Qur'an and classical texts. This is not entertainment. It's training. For the one serious about Arabic. For the one serious about understanding revelation. What made a savage poet essential for students of Islamic knowledge? Watch and find out. Be honest: Are you chasing the image of a student of knowledge more than actually becoming one? You post a book cover, tag a scholar's quote, and share clips from your latest class. But do you really know what it means to seek knowledge? In this two-hour lecture, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan reminds us that seeking Islamic knowledge isn't a trend—it's a trust. A responsibility. A path that can either raise you or destroy you. Allah didn't just create us to worship Him, but to know Him. And true worship begins with knowledge. Not surface-level information, but deep, sincere understanding that's acted upon. If you've ever: - Shared something beneficial but haven't lived it - Wondered why scholars are slow to speak - Wanted to study but got caught up in the aesthetics - Felt distant from sincerity in your seeking... …this lecture brings you back to what matters. Grounded in the Qur'an, the legacy of the scholars, and the warnings of the Prophet ﷺ—this is a chance to pause, reflect, and realign your path. A must-watch for every serious student—and anyone who truly wants to be one. You're doing everything right — attending duroos, watching Islamic videos, filling pages with notes. But deep down… you're not changing. The more you learn, the more disconnected you feel. You thought seeking knowledge would soften your heart. But it's only making your head heavier. You're probably moving fast, but not forward. Why? Because somewhere along the way, we skipped what the Salaf never did. Study the explanation of Kitab al-ʿIlm by Imam Abu Khaythamah Zuhayr ibn Harb (d. 234 AH) — the teacher of five out of the six major hadith collectors. This book gathers over 160 narrations from the Prophet ﷺ, the Companions رضي الله عنهم, and the early scholars — not on fiqh or fatwa, but on how to seek knowledge the right way. It exposes the cracks in our foundations: - Learning without action - Studying without adab - Gaining facts but losing sincerity - Consuming lectures without any transformation If you've been chasing course after course, quoting scholars but ignoring your own tarbiyah — this is your reset. Watch now — and revive your journey of knowledge the way the Salaf began theirs. You've been told Allah hears and sees — but then you're told “Don't take it literally.” You hear about His Names and Attributes — and it's all explained away as metaphor. How did something so clear become so confusing? Because the ʿAqeedah of the Salaf was replaced — by opinions, philosophy, and reinterpreted religion. This poem, Al-Ha'iyyah by Ibn Abi Dawud, brings it all back. Thirty-three lines that defended the truth when people tried to distort it — especially about Allah, His Names and Attributes, and the very foundations of belief. In this session, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains: - The right stance towards the companions رضي الله عنهم — and why it's non-negotiable - The proper affirmation of Allah's Names and Attributes - How the Jahmiyyah and Muʿtazilah were intellectually dismantled - Why the Salafi creed is clear, consistent, and preserved If you're tired of confusion and want to be grounded in what the early generations were upon — this is where you start. Some say women must never leave the house. Others treat it like there are no guidelines at all. But what did the Prophet ﷺ actually say? In this episode, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains the second hadith from the book الأربعون النسائية (The Forty Hadiths for Women) — a concise and powerful narration from ʿAishah رضي الله عنها: “Permission has been granted for you to go out for your needs.” (Agreed upon – al-Bukhari and Muslim) What's the context of this statement? A moment involving Sawdah رضي الله عنها and ʿUmar رضي الله عنه sparked this guidance — and it opens up a meaningful discussion around what qualifies as a "need" (Haajah), and how modesty was practised at the time. You'll also learn: - Who ʿAishah رضي الله عنها was — her early life, marriage to the Prophet ﷺ, and her deep scholarship - How the Prophet's ﷺ wives balanced public needs with modesty - The fiqh rulings derived from this narration - The deeper wisdom behind this hadith and what scholars have said about it Grounded, clear, and relevant — this session provides practical guidance for Muslims navigating this topic today. Did Ali Dawah also get a secret second wife??
He was on the verge of becoming king — until the Prophet ﷺ arrived. In public, he claimed Islam. Behind closed doors, he stirred conflict, mocked the believers, and fed secrets to their enemies. ‘Abdullah ibn Ubayy wasn't just any man — he was the head of the hypocrites in Madinah. In this gripping episode, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan traces his story: from his bitter heart at being sidelined, to his fake conversion after Badr, to the moments he disrespected the Prophet ﷺ to his face — and the chaos he sparked among the Sahabah رضي الله عنهم. You'll learn: - Why the Prophet ﷺ gave his own cloak for his burial - How his plots nearly divided the believers - What the Quraysh told him in a secret letter — and how he responded - How Allah exposed him in the Qur'an - The events that led to unrest in Madinah and heightened tensions with Quraysh A man driven by envy. A city at a crossroads. Watch now to witness one of the most dangerous figures in the early Seerah — and the Prophet's ﷺ response to him. We see righteous Muslims praying, fasting, and following the Sunnah — yet when disasters strike, they're not spared. Floods sweep away families. Earthquakes crush entire neighbourhoods. Oppression increases. And even those who stayed obedient to Allah suffer alongside others. Why does Allah's punishment descend on a whole community — even when there are righteous people among them? In this episode of Ad-Daa wa Ad-Dawaa, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains Imam Ibn al-Qayyim's deep insight into collective punishment. Backed by Quran, Sunnah, and the words of the Salaf, the lesson explores why staying silent in the face of sin… may cost us all. Watch now. “Don't take it literally.” “That would be Tashbeeh.” “Allah doesn't really have a face, hand, or anger — it's metaphorical.” You've heard these claims. Maybe in a lecture. Maybe in online keyboard wars. Maybe in a casual conversation. But are they true? In this session, Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble explains Tawheed al-Asma wa as-Sifat — belief in Allah's Names and Attributes — with structure and proof, just as it was understood by the Salaf of this Ummah. You'll learn: - What it means to affirm Allah's Names and Attributes without denial, distortion, or resemblance - Why the Qur'an and Sunnah speak clearly — and why that's enough for the believer - How deviant groups like the Jahmiyyah, Mu'tazilah, and Ash'aris went astray by placing philosophy over revelation - And how this part of Tawheed shapes your worship, your dua, and your connection to Allah This isn't a side topic. It's the foundation of knowing the One you worship — without compromise. Is there a valid difference of opinion in the most fundamental part of Islam? Is making dua to the dead not really worship? Have today's trends and voices made you question what once felt clear? These aren't fringe questions. They are issues no Muslim can afford to ignore. In this comprehensive 12-hour deep dive, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan returns to the bedrock of our religion: Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah — the oneness of Allah in worship. In this video, you'll uncover: - What “Ilah” truly means — and how misunderstanding it shakes your entire faith - Why "La ilaha illa Allah" is not just a phrase — but a binding contract with conditions - Rational and textual proofs of Tawheed, broken down step by step - What the Prophets actually called to — and how modern distortions betray their message - Clear definitions of worship, dua, shafa'ah, istighathah — and where shirk quietly creeps in - The difference between Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyyah and Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah — and why confusing them is dangerous You'll hear direct evidence from the Qur'an and Sunnah, insights from the Imams of Islam, and responses to the most common modern-day confusions. This isn't a lecture for specialists. It's urgent study for every Muslim. Because every Prophet was sent with the same message: “Worship Allah alone, and avoid everything worshipped besides Him.” If your Tawheed is unclear or compromised — nothing else you build will stand. After nearly 20 months away (1 year, 7 months, and 22 days), we're back to podcasting. In this episode, we reflect on what kept us away — from thesis writing and balancing full-time work with family life, to the emotional weight of events like Gaza — and what it means to return now, by Allāh's permission.
Aap Hajj par nahi gaye... Toh kya Arafah aur uske baad ke dinon ki fazeelat se aap mehroom ho gaye? Kya ye din bhi aap sirf TV par Hajj ka manzar dekh kar, ya Eid ki shopping kar ke guzaar denge? If someone asked you to explain what it means that Allah is the Creator, the Sustainer, the One in charge of every single thing—would you be able to answer? Most Muslims would nod, but few can actually put that belief into words, let alone live by it. That's where Tawheed Ar-Ruboobiyyah comes in—not as an abstract category, but as the core of how you see Allah. In this session, Ustadh Sadiq A. Yasin strips it back to the basics: What does it really mean that Allah alone creates, owns, governs, provides—and no one shares in that? Why do so many acknowledge Allah as Lord, yet still fall into shirk? And what hidden assumptions do we carry that quietly contradict what we claim to believe? This isn't just theory. It's the foundation every Muslim needs before they can truly say La ilaha illa Allah and mean it. Ask any scholar or student of knowledge—and they'll tell you: some of the most common, urgent questions they get are from women. About menstruation. Purity. Prayer. Hijab. Going out. Marriage. Divorce. But not enough people are teaching it. To address this gap, here begins the explanation of الأربعون النسائية (Al-Arba'een An-Nisaa'iyyah)—a collection of 43 hadith compiled by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Shakir ash-Shareef, each one dealing with rulings specific to women, drawn from the Sunnah and explained upon the understanding of the Salaf. In Episode 1, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan breaks down the first hadith of the book—where the Prophet ﷺ says: “Do not prevent your women from the masājid, but their homes are better for them.” - What exactly does this mean today? - Is it really better for women to pray at home—even in Makkah and Madinah? - Can a husband stop his wife from going to the masjid? And when is that allowed? - What conditions did the scholars set for women going out—and are they still being met today? - And what did Aisha رضي الله عنها say that still speaks volumes about modesty and change in society? This isn't just theory. It's the lived fiqh of women—starting here. In this eye-opening lecture, Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble clarifies the Qur'an and Sunnah's stance on unity, highlights the Sahabah's practical approach to differences, and reveals the genuine blueprint for uniting all Muslims. If you've ever felt confused or frustrated by divisions among Muslims, this lecture will give you clear answers and practical guidance. You try to follow the Qur'an and Sunnah—then you're told you're rigid. You quote the Salaf—then you're labelled a Wahhabi. And why do others accuse you of being extreme—for simply following what the Salaf believed? This lecture tackles these tensions head-on—through the words of early and authentic voices of Ahl al-Hadith. Study the book I'tiqad A'immah al-Hadith by Imam Abu Bakr al-Ismaʿili (d. 371H). With Shaikh Dr. Asim Al-Qaryooti, we explore how the true Imams of the Sunnah understood and lived their creed. The book dismantles many modern doubts and deviations by clearly stating what the Salaf believed regarding: - Allah's Names and Attributes - The authority of authentic Hadith in Aqeedah—even if it's Aahaad - Rejecting blind following when it clashes with the Qur'an and Sunnah - Avoiding philosophy, kalam, and speculative theology, and returning to the clear guidance of revelation - True loyalty to the Imams—by following their principles, not their mistakes This is the creed that stood the test of time. A creed based on the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the understanding of the first three generations. If you've ever struggled with the tension between following the evidence and adopting Taqleed… if you've been told that affirming Allah's Attributes means you're anthropomorphising… or if you want to know what the scholars of Hadith actually believed—this is the session to watch. Clear. Grounded. Unapologetic. This is the Aqeedah of Ahl al-Hadith. Not everything attributed to the Prophet ﷺ is authentic — and the responsibility of distinguishing truth from error fell upon the scholars of hadith. In this first session of the explanation of Nukhbat al-Fikr, Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble introduces the principles that underpin the science of hadith. You'll begin to see how narrations were assessed, why precision mattered, and how the early scholars approached the words of the Prophet ﷺ with both reverence and rigour. What to expect in this session: - The difference between primary and supporting Islamic sciences—and where hadith fits in - Why the Sahabah رضي الله عنهم exercised caution in narration, despite being eyewitnesses to the revelations - How scholars judged narrators and filtered weak reports from reliable ones - What makes a hadith Sahih, Hasan, or Da'if—and why these aren't casual labels - The roots of hadith verification long before books were even compiled This session lays the groundwork for a science that shaped Islamic scholarship—and preserved the Sunnah for generations to come. A chain of narration might look complete—until you realise one connection was only assumed, not proven. In the second session of the explanation of the book Nukhbat al-Fikr, Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble continues uncovering the inner mechanics of hadith authentication. This session goes beyond theory—showing how a single oversight, a misplaced narrator, or a subtle shift in wording can make the difference between acceptance and rejection. You'll explore the exacting methods used to spot breaks in the isnad, the difference between broken and deleted chains, and how scholars dealt with weak or misleading reports. From the high standards of Bukhari and Muslim to the dangers of modal defects, every principle reveals just how much scrutiny was required to protect the Sunnah. What you'll learn: - The difference between a missing narrator and a deleted chain - When weak hadith can support one another—and when they cannot - What makes a narrator credible—and what raises red flags - How scholars spotted misleading narrations that weren't lies, but weren't complete truths either - Why even minor name confusion can affect authenticity - The precision behind the classification of Sahih, Hasan, and Da'if Every narration was weighed. Every claim investigated. This is the science that preserved the words of the Prophet ﷺ—with honesty, skill, and a deep sense of responsibility.
