When people stop replying. When doors stay closed no matter how many times you knock. Like many others, you probably return to one thing: You make wudu. You raise your hands… or you fall into sujood. “Ya Allah…” and instead of words, only tears come out. Because in your weakest moments, you need Him the most. You know that He's aware of what you've lost, what you've tried to hide, what still hurts. You realise He's the only one who truly knows you… but do you know Him? That's where this journey begins. Knowing the Names and Attributes of Allah - a new AMAU series where Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble explains Fiqh al-Asma al-Husna by Sheikh Abdur Razzaq al-Badr (حفظه الله). In this first lesson, you'll uncover why this knowledge is the foundation of Iman, why every prayer, every du'a, every act of worship stands or falls on how well you know your Lord. You'll learn what it truly means to have fiqh of Allah's Names, and how knowing Him transforms everything - your worship, your patience, your peace. Because once you truly know who He is… you'll never feel lost again. (S22) Haythuma Abu Sa'ad رضي الله عنهم: another martyr of Uhud. His son, Sa'ad رضي الله عنه was martyred at Badr. Wahab Ibn Kamoos and his nephew al-Haarith Ibn Uqbah Wahab رضي الله عنه single handedly took out a cavalry headed for The Messenger ﷺ. The Messenger ﷺ gives him glad tidings…Wahab رضي الله عنه is martyred, wearing the best of smiles. His nephew Haarith رضي الله عنه was martyred at Uhud also. Despite all his severe injuries from Uhud, Talha رضي الله عنه still participated in every campaign during The Messenger's ﷺ lifetime! (S10) The blessed pairing: There are 3 views with regards to who Talha رضي الله عنه was paired with in Madinah; Abu Ayub al-Ansari, Ubayy Ibn Ka'ab and Ka'ab Ibn Maalik رضي الله عنهم. The strongest view is that Talha رضي الله عنه was paired with Ka'ab Ibn Malik رضي الله عنه. Ibn Taymiyyah (r.h) endorses this view. One should stand for his brother when greeting him. Not doing so may cause ill feelings in the heart. The one being stood up for should not feel pride in his heart, if he does then he should request the people not to stand for him. Talha and Sa'eed Ibn Zayd رضي الله عنهم didn't participate in Badr due to being sent out by The Messenger ﷺ to scout out the caravans 10 days prior to Badr. Talha and Sa'eed رضي الله عنهم still recieved spoils from Badr and are classed as Badris.
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S11) Some more Companions رضي الله عنهم who are still classed as Badris, but did not physically participate in Badr due to other reasons; Uthmaan Ibn Affaan, Abu Lubaba, Asim Ibn Adee, Haarith Ibn Haathib, Haarith Ibn al-Sammah, Khuwaat Ibn Jubayr, Abu Seeya and Sa'ad Abu Malik (رضي الله عنهم). Talha رضي الله عنه did miss out physically at Badr, however his performance in the next battle, Uhud, showed his determination, and it went down in history. Uhud was fought ~3-4 A.H, making Talha رضي الله عنه around 32 years old. The disbelievers numbered around 3,000, the Muslims numbered around 700. The Battle was initially being won by the Muslims, however the turn over occurred and the situation worsened. 200 horses came from one direction and a group of disbelievers from the other, sandwiching the Muslims. They fought bravely in smaller, split groups. The Battle was divided into 2 arenas.
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S8) Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه was so instrumental as he was very knowledgeable and generous, thus the people followed him so. It can be said that Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه was close to bringing the entirety of the Quraysh into Islam. Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه has al-Waleed Ibn Mugheera on the verge of accepting Islam but Abu Jahl intervenes. 19 Verses were then revealed… Nawfal Ibn Khuwaylid, the brother of Khadija He was known as The lion of the Quraysh. He tied up Abu Bakr and Talha رضي الله عنهم to rough them up and give them some harsh words. Thus they affectionately were given the title: “al-Qarinayn” “The Two tied together”. Nawfal was killed at Badr by Ali Our Lion (رضي الله عنه) killed their lion.

Reports by leading human rights bodies reveal that Palestinian journalists are being systematically targeted, through arrests, intimidation, and even killings, in what experts warn could amount to war crimes. The aim appears clear: to silence coverage of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank. Topic II: Exemplary Youth (Battle of Badr) The youth of early Islam sacrificed their lives, comfort, and personal desires, driven by an unshakable devotion to Allah's cause. (S33) Whilst we fight battles with shaytaan between good deeds and sins, Muazh رضي الله عنه was battling between the better of 2 good deeds - such was the level of his Taqwa. Muazh رضي الله عنه participated in all of the expeditions during The Messenger's ﷺ lifetime. He was ~20 years old at Badr. The Messenger ﷺ instructed Muazh رضي الله عنه to stay in Makkah during the battle of Hunayn, to teach the new reverts about Islam, using the Qur'an. Teaching the faith to your brothers and sisters is also like Jihad - a unique honour for Muazh

For years, the Prophet ﷺ and his companions endured harm, exile, and oppression in silence. They were commanded to forgive and turn away, waiting for Allah's command. That command finally came. This episode takes you through the moment when Allah permitted the Muslims to defend themselves. Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains how the first expeditions unfolded, the wisdom behind their timing, and the powerful lessons they carry for us today. In this episode of the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, you'll learn about: - The Qur'anic permission to defend and its context. - Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib's رضي الله عنه first expedition and its purpose. - How Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas رضي الله عنه shot the first arrow in Islam. - Why sins lead to humiliation and how obedience brings victory. The story is not just about battles. It's about patience, faith, and what happens when believers uphold or abandon Allah's commands. Watch to uncover how these events shaped the path to Badr and beyond. Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S5) Amr Ibn Jamooh رضي الله عنه had 3 sons; Muazh, Mu'awad and Khalaad رضي الله عنهم, who were all Badris. Khalaad was martyred alongside his father, Amr, at Uhud. Muazh Ibn Amr رضي الله عنهم was one of those who attacked Abu Jahl at Badr. He cut off his leg, and it flew like kernel. Muazh was struck and his forearm was almost fully severed. He then stretched it and ripped it off - grieving that he didn't get to finish of Abu Jahl! Amr Ibn Jamooh رضي الله عنه was excused to fight at Badr, due to a limp. He رضي الله عنه fought at Uhud. He was martyred and buried alongside his best friend, Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Haram رضي الله عنه, his nephew and his freed slave رضي الله عنهم.

A believer faces a war on all fronts — the enemy within, the whispers of Shaytan, and those who fight the truth openly and from within. In this powerful episode of the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explores how the Prophet ﷺ shaped an Ummah ready for every battlefield — starting with the one inside. Long before swords were drawn at Badr, Uhud and Khandaq, the Companions رضي الله عنهم learned to conquer their own desires, doubts, and fears. You'll see how the early Muslims were trained verse by verse, heart by heart — building an unshakeable fortress of knowledge, action, patience and sincerity. You'll learn about the believer's weapons: Iman that shields the heart, knowledge that exposes every lie, patience that locks down the Nafs, and a sword that rises only when commanded — not by rage or ulterior motives, but by revelation and wisdom. And when the external fight came — with disbelievers, hypocrites, and open enemies — they were ready. Their victory began before the battlefield, in the quiet moments of struggle against themselves. Which enemy is closest to you? Are you armed for all four fights? Watch and rediscover the battles you face daily — and the Seerah that still guides every step. He was on the verge of becoming king — until the Prophet ﷺ arrived. In public, he claimed Islam. Behind closed doors, he stirred conflict, mocked the believers, and fed secrets to their enemies. ‘Abdullah ibn Ubayy wasn't just any man — he was the head of the hypocrites in Madinah. In this gripping episode, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan traces his story: from his bitter heart at being sidelined, to his fake conversion after Badr, to the moments he disrespected the Prophet ﷺ to his face — and the chaos he sparked among the Sahabah You'll learn: - Why the Prophet ﷺ gave his own cloak for his burial - How his plots nearly divided the believers - What the Quraysh told him in a secret letter — and how he responded - How Allah exposed him in the Qur'an - The events that led to unrest in Madinah and heightened tensions with Quraysh A man driven by envy. In this episode, we discuss an account of an historic battle, which is commemorated annually on the 17th of Ramadan across all Muslim countries: the Battle of Badr 624AD. The film has been created by the Bellum et Historia channel, released on 16 November 2024, and made in Total War Atilla and other games, using various mods. These are, however, a little hazy because the creator has chosen not to reveal the creative process, making full attribution of assets used quite a challenge to fully appreciate, not least how the game technology was used in the creative process. Nonetheless, we talk about the film's methods of creative expression, the role of the tools and the ways in which these game environments can be especially useful for this kind of storytelling.0:40 Introduction by Phil8:22 Damien's evaluation of the tools16:33 Tracy's observations on the tools used and creative processes, the role of games in understanding historic eventsCredits -Speakers: Phil Rice, Damien Valentine, Tracy HarwoodProducer/Editor: Phil RiceMusic: Animo Domini Beats

Yemen's second-to-last hereditary ruler, Ahmad bin Yahya - known as "Ahmad the devil" within Yemen - was in Rome at the time, receiving medical treatment for a variety of ailments, and Rebaldi delighted in the news that he had traveled with his multiple wives, dozens of concubines, and maintained a stable of "slave girls" back at home. In Rome, Rebaldi says that doctors limited the ailing dictator to six female visitors a day, though Yahya's age, health problems, and various drug addictions may have made these visits less exciting that Rebaldi believed. Yahya died in his sleep three years after the piece was published, at the age of 71, and was briefly succeeded by his son, Muhammad al-Badr. The Badr reign came to an end after just a week, when disaffected soldiers launched a coup and declared Yemen a Republic. It is, very tragically, still working on that. After 15 months of warfare, humanitarian aid is finally getting through to Gaza.By Wednesday, 2,400 trucks had crossed the border and aid agencies are ramping up delivery of essential supplies following the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel that began on Sunday. The need is enormous as are the logistical difficulties in delivering food and medical supplies in a region where there are no longer roads and where vast tracts of demolished buildings dot the landscape.Families, like the Badr family, father, mother and three of their 10 children, who have been living in refugee camps for safety from unrelenting Israeli air attacks, are returning to their homes to find nothing left expect piles of rubble. For some families, the return means searching through the rubble for the bodies of their loved ones.Unicef's Rosalia Bollen is on the ground in Gaza and she explains the challenges in delivering aid in war-torn Gaza, the very real threat of famine and the impact 15 months of war has had on children.Presented by Bernice Harrison.
