Fortunately for us, Intern Matt didn't forget this pact, so we finally paid Wingers a visit on a TRIPLE date! Wingers is well known in Utah and started in 1993 in Bountiful. Wingers currently has 13 locations in Utah, as well as locations in Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, and Oklahoma, bringing the total to 22 locations. Cam Janssen and Dave Rapp are broadcasting live from Social Bar and Grill in South County. Cam and Dave offer up their thoughts on game 1 between Columbus and Boston as they wonder if the Blue Jackets were rusty or a flash in the pan.  They also offer up their predictions in Islanders/Hurricanes and Sharks/Avalanche as Intern Matt, triumphant in his bet on the Hurricanes' first round series, predicts the 'Canes run to come to an end.

They speculate on whether David Backes will return to Boston's lineup after Toronto dispatched the Bruins in game one.  Cam also chirps Intern Matt who isn't looking so good after betting that the Carolina Hurricanes will prevail in round one.  Cam and Dave also dream of what it would be like to have Brady and Matthew Tkachuk playing on a line together after Matthew scored two in Thursday night's game.

Cam Janssen is broadcasting live from his Wednesday night home at the Corner Pub and Grill in Ellisville.  Cam expresses his disappointment that the Blackhawks couldn't even win the one time he was rooting for them to help secure a playoff berth for the Blues. Cam also asks if this Blues team is even better than the 2015-2016 team that made the Western Conference Final.  Cam even lets Intern Matt say more than two words without being cut off.

Intern Matt (also known as my good friend Matt Kulling) joins me over a beer at Murphy's Bleachers in Chicago just one day after he ran the 2018 Chicago Marathon. He was not a runner before July and so I decided to catch up with my buddy about what he learned from his first marathon. Why did he sign up to do this? What was the hardest part of training? What were the highs and lows of the actual race? Would he ever do it again? Here's what he said, when I asked him what he learned from this whole process. "It doesn't really matter if you run in 2:04 or if you run in 6:04, people will cheer you on the same amount. This is me kind of patting myself on the back but it's a tremendous accomplishment to just finish or even say that I'm going to do this at all. It's a self-imposed goal. The fact that people are so supportive of you – if you have to walk, it doesn't matter. If you're really old, it doesn't matter. If you're really young, it doesn't matter. People really rally around you and that's what I thought was cool about seeing you run Berlin and London and now something I experienced in Chicago." Congrats, Matt.

Penn State and Illinois played a football game that looked like it was going to be close for a while, and then, the Nittany Lions absolutely poured it on down the stretch en route to a win.
