Today's 94 WIP Midday Show posed an interesting question: would you sign-up right now for the Eagles to finish their final 5 games at 3-2, clinching the NFC East and a home playoff game? Joe Giglio certainly would, because he thinks that there is possibility the wheels fall off of this season. Hugh Douglas strongly disagrees, urging the Eagles to take control of their destiny and start playing better. Kyle Schwarber's free agency is starting to pick up steam with the MLB winter meetings starting next week. Darius Slay interestingly called Philadelphia his second home but would not comment on if he is coming back. Jalen Hurts needs to start running more, according to Joe Giglio. Listen at the end for the Guess the Takes segment, and You People!

In hour 1, the 94 WIP Midday Show questions whether or not it is acceptable to sign up for the Eagles to have a 3-2 record in their remaining 5 games. This scenario would have them clinch the NFC East and host a playoff game. Joe Giglio is on board, claiming that there is a possibility that the Eagles completely collapse. Hugh Douglas wants to play the season out, urging the Eagles to take control of the season and potentially fight for the NFC number 1 seed. He also says that they do not deserve to make the playoffs if they do collapse. Jalen Carter's injury will be a big loss for the Eagles in the coming weeks. Jordan Mailata teased that there will be some new things in the running game against the Chargers on Monday night.

In hour 2, the 94 WIP Midday Show discussed the current situation surrounding Kyle Scwarber's free agency. There is general belief that Schwarber will be the first big name free agent to sign with a team this offseason. Joe Giglio expects the Phillies to re-sign Schwarber, but that they will probably overpay in the process. If he leaves, there is another free agent outfielder that Giglio wants the Phillies to get. Hugh Douglas thinks that he may be going to the Cincinnati Reds. Darius Slay did not report to the Bills as he contemplates retirement. He called Philadelphia his second home and said he was unsure if he would have reported to the Eagles if they had won his waiver claim.

In hour 3, the 94 WIP Midday Show looked at some recent answers by Jalen Hurts to reports that he does not want to be running as much in the offense as he had in the past. Hurts could very well just be considering his physical health and wanting to stay healthy as the season goes along. He may be frustrated that these reports have gotten out, because the stats show that he is certainly not running as much as he did in the past. Joe Giglio makes it clear that he thinks the Eagles need Hurts' legs if they want any hope of the offense improving. Also, listen to hear what was in Hugh Douglas' Holiday Stocking today!

In hour 4, the 94 WIP Midday Show continued to preview Eagles-Chargers on Monday night. They also had this week's segment of Guess the Takes, where Kyle, Joe, and Hugh predict what the headlines will be after this weekend's NFL slate. Listen for those takes, as well today's edition of You People! Hugh Douglas quickly took to Nick Sirianni's defense against a caller that is questioning his job security.

On this week's segment of Guess the Takes on the 94 WIP Midday Show, Joe, Hugh, and Kyle all have bold takes on various Quarterback's throughout the NFL. Listen here to find out which ones they look at! Also, listen to Hugh Douglas and a caller have a passionate disagreement regarding Nick Sirianni's future if the Eagles collapse this year like they did in 2023. Joe Giglio reaffirms his fear in the current Eagles, saying that the offense stinks.

The 94 WIP Midday Show are continuing to preview the Eagles-Chargers matchup next Monday night. Justin Herbert is listed as questionable after having hand surgery earlier this week. The probability that Justin Herbert cannot play for the Chargers is still up in the air and is certainly factoring into the Eagles preparations. Also, listen to hear what was in Hugh's Holiday Stocking today!

The 94 WIP Midday Show are reacting to Jalen Hurts appearing to push back on the reports that he is no longer willing to run as much in the offense. The stats show that Hurts has not run as much this year as in the past, and he may be frustrated that these reports got out. Joe Giglio stresses that the team needs his legs in order for the offense to start playing better. Hugh Douglas is frustrated that the team has not played up to their potential so far this season.

The 94 WIP Midday Show are taking a look at the Darius Slay situation after he did not report to the Bills. Reports are out that Slay is contemplating retirement, and it certainly seems that way as he has become very reflective about his life and sounds like his playing days might soon be over. He says that he does not know if he would have reported to the Eagles had they won the waiver claim, but he did call Philadelphia his second home. Joe Giglio says that the Eagles, specifically Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni, have become too obsessed with not turning the ball over and that they are too risk averse.

The 94 WIP Midday Show are looking into MLB Free Agency, as reports are coming out that Kyle Schwarber could be the first big name to sign to a team this winter. Joe Giglio says he wants Schwarber back, but admits the Phillies will probably overpay on the contract in order to keep him. He says that the Phillies will most likely give him too many years and too much money and might regret it in a few years. For the immediate future, it is extremely important that the Phillies retain Kyle Schwarber. If he leaves, there is another big name free agent that Joe Giglio has his eyes on.

The 94 WIP Midday Show continue to debate whether or not you would rather immediately sign up for the Eagles to go 3-2 in their last 5 games, clinching the NFC East, or to roll the dice and play the season out. Hugh Douglas says that the Eagles have not lived up to their potential this year and that being happy to just make the playoffs is not the standard they should have. Hugh still says they are one of the most talented teams in the league and wants them to take control of their own destiny. Joe Giglio expects the Eagles defensive line to dominate against the Chargers on Monday night.

The 94 WIP Midday Show are previewing the rest of the Eagles season as they get a fortunate result with the Cowboys losing to the Lions on Thursday Night Football. Joe Giglio would immediately sign up for the Eagles to finish 3-2 the rest of the way, which would clinch the NFC East. Hugh Douglas disagrees, saying he wants to play it out because the number 1 seed in the NFC is still possible. Douglas says that the Eagles, as they are currently constructed, cannot win the Super Bowl. Jalen Carter's absence will be a major factor over the next few weeks.
