The Philadelphia Phillies took 2 of 3 from the Los Angeles Dodgers to win their third straight series to open up the 2025 MLB season. Nick Castellanos hit a grand slam in yesterday's game, while Jesus Luzardo was dominant on Friday night. Cristopher Sanchez struggled against Teoscar Hernandez, but was excellent against Shohei Ohtani, who was held to just one hit in the series. The Phillies are 5-1 out the gates and host the World Series Champion Dodgers this weekend for three at The Bank. A great early litmus test for this group, they are 7-3 in their last 10 against LA, including wins in 6 of their last 7 contests. Early on, the lineup is quiet against starting pitchers while raking against relief pitchers. To beat the Dodgers, the Phils will have to change that narrative.
