"Thanksgiving Day Special" There's a lot of things I miss about being a kid--somebody else driving, somebody else making dinner, not having to pay bills, not having to shave or get gas or pay rent--I was just going mention one or two things, but apparently I'm not pleased about being an adult. The reason why I brought this up is because the one thing I really miss about being a kid are the holiday TV specials that mark time. From The Grinch That Stole Christmas to It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, those specials helped keep me grounded as a kid. They made the calendar kind of stop and forced me to realize where I was and who I was with. They felt like something tangible. I wish I could do something like that for you here on the podcast and the closest I can come is my chat with Justin of 98 degrees. To me, it feels Thanksgiving-ish. At first it's sort of a talking points interview, but then something happens and it just kind of takes off and it takes off in a way that has to do with actually caring about other people. I'm not going to say too much more, but I will say this. This is our Thanksgiving special and I'm very proud of it. I'm thankful for this chat with Justin, I'm thankful he opened up and I'm thankful you get to hear it. And THANK YOU, for continuing to support this podcast. www.98degrees.com www.bombshellradio.com www.embersarts.com www.stereoembersmagaine.com www.alexgreenbooks.com IG: @emberspodcast Email: editor@stereoembersmagazine.com

Nick Lachey and the boys from 98 Degrees, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre step Behind The Rope. Having sold over ten million records worldwide, topping the Billboard Hot 100 with eight singles including the Number One hit with Mariah Carey, “Thank God I Found You”, 98 Degrees reflects back on the highs and lows of a stellar career that seems hotter than ever these days. That's correct, Nick and the boys have brand new music in the form of the single “Where Do You Want To Go” which they will continue to perform on live dates throughout the rest of 2021. 98 Degrees chat about the inevitable comparisons to the other chart topping bands at the time NSYNC, NKOTB, BSB and B2M. The boys pay homage to their many side projects none the least of which was Newlyweds, the Reality Show of global international success and many viral moments of epic proportion. We pick Nick's brain on what Hollywood Couple he thinks is prime for a Modern Day Newlyweds and the answer is not what you would expect. Calling MTV! The 98 side projects also include the family affair that was Dancing With The Stars. Sorry Nick, and Vanessa (Lachey), we will have to give it to Drew on this one. #mirrorballchamp #dwtsseasontwo We chat with 98 about dream collabs, meeting Michael Jackson, opening for Janet Jackson, Nick's current Fox show “Alter Ego”, what their millions of adoring fans can expect from their mostly sold out year end live shows, and when can we expect more new follow up music to the brilliant “Where Do You Want To Go”. Of course before we let the boys go we had to pay homage to those brilliant, never to be forgotten 90s fashions. @98degrees @nicklachey @thedrewlachey @jefftimmons @jeffre.justin @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef BONUS & AD FREE EPISODES Available at - https://www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetrope Brought to you by AUDIBLE - https://audible.com/projecthailmary (Listen to Audible's “Project Hail Mary”) Brought to you by RITUAL - https://ritual.com/VELVET (Get 10% Off During Your First Three Months) Brought to you by RAYCON - https://www.buyraycon.com/velvet (15% Off Site Wide - Use Code “Holiday”) Brought to you by SKYLIGHT FRAME - http://www.skylightframe.com ($10 Off Your First Purchase - Use Code “Velvet”) Brought to you by CALIBRATE - https://www.joincalibrate.com ($50 Off First Year - Use Code “Velvet”) Brought to you by OMAZE - https://www.omaze.com/velvetrope (Receive 20 Extra Entries When You Enter Code “velvetrope20”) MERCH Available at - https://www.teepublic.com/stores/behind-the-velvet-rope?ref_id=13198 Learn more about your ad choices. Timmons was the founding member of 98 Degrees. While studying psychology at Kent State, Timmons decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. Although he received several acting jobs (including a commercial for the U.S. Navy), his passion belonged to music and he formed a singing group subsequently. Timmons (along with Justin Jeffre, and brothers Drew and Nick Lachey) formed independently and were later signed to the Motown label in the mid-1990s.
