"Thanksgiving Day Special" There's a lot of things I miss about being a kid--somebody else driving, somebody else making dinner, not having to pay bills, not having to shave or get gas or pay rent--I was just going mention one or two things, but apparently I'm not pleased about being an adult. The reason why I brought this up is because the one thing I really miss about being a kid are the holiday TV specials that mark time. From The Grinch That Stole Christmas to It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, those specials helped keep me grounded as a kid. They made the calendar kind of stop and forced me to realize where I was and who I was with. They felt like something tangible. I wish I could do something like that for you here on the podcast and the closest I can come is my chat with Justin of 98 degrees. To me, it feels Thanksgiving-ish. At first it's sort of a talking points interview, but then something happens and it just kind of takes off and it takes off in a way that has to do with actually caring about other people. I'm not going to say too much more, but I will say this. This is our Thanksgiving special and I'm very proud of it. I'm thankful for this chat with Justin, I'm thankful he opened up and I'm thankful you get to hear it. 98.6 degrees is hot. If it were that hot outside, you'd be sweaty and want to go jump in a nice cold pool. But the insides of our bodies are that hot all the time! And that's because there's a lot going on in there that creates heat.In this episode, Molly and co-host Saathvik find out how our bodies keep our insides at a nice steady temperature (and why that's harder to do when it's hot outside!). Throwback Trivia Question
98 Degrees founding member Jeff Timmons discovered perfect harmony when he assembled the acapela group turned TRL superstars. But before their chart-topping bops and ballads, the boy band paid plenty of dues by becoming their own marketing machine. In this episode we learn about their days driving Winnebagos, industry hurdles they had to overcome, and fences they had to jump (literally) just to get noticed! How did it all change overnight? And how is it all coming “Full Circle” this year!! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This week, I kick us off by going through our spaghetti-themed deals in the store this week. I got so much pasta sauce, you could sink a ship with it - but don't sink the ship with it, instead sink the ship with spaghetti and then use the sauce to eat them together. That's why it's called a deal. We congratulate this week's winner of the weekly giveaway and get ready to win again next week by subscribing to us on YouTube and leaving a comment on this episode about something you learned on the show. Sommelier Michael B pops by to tell us about the International Wine Festival on November 11th as well as some of our recurring events like Back that Glass up on Wednesday nights as well as the Wine Walkabouts occuring on the third Saturday of every month. Easy way to try some fancy wines, if you're into that. Then I am joined by the now AWARD WINNING director, Stephen Powell, who made the documentary film 98 Degrees West with friend of the show, Zamir Gotta. Zamir and Stephen are coming to the Jungle on October 21st to host the Ohio premiere of their film. Congratulations on winning best feature film at the Buffalo International Film Festival. We're back in geometry class to discuss degree theory! We open the episode with some life updates and a game of ‘Talk Astro to Me' where we ask each other Scorpio and Sagittarius themed questions. There's lots to discuss during the morning announcements as we head into the astrological new year (hint: LOTS of aries energy ahead). Study hall this week is all about the degrees. We discuss the sign and planet association with each degree (0-29), how to use the degrees to add more nuance to your birth chart, and what themes the degree placements may bring up for you. After study hall we discuss ‘doing too much' AKA Aubrey and Dani's favorite activity since literal birth. We close out the episode by ‘passing a note' to a gemini listener who is out of their Saturn return but struggling to lock in on their life path/purpose. It is a Boy Band Christmas here today Behind The Velvet Rope as 98 Degrees' Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons Justin Jeffre, O-Town's Erik-Michael Estrada, All For One's Jamie Jones and Mr. Ryan Cabrera stop by to mention it all!! The Boy Bands are in the house! The guys chat about each of their respective careers, hits, highs and lows of the music biz and just what we can expect the rest of December as they continue to tour the county for their epic Boy Band Christmas extravaganza. On a personal note, we chat about 98 Degrees missing fellow band member Nick Lachey as he sits this one out in Hawaii with wife Vanessa, discuss Ryan Cabrera's wedding earlier this year to WWE champ Alexa Bliss and break down whether Erik and the rest of O-Town would ever tour or record again with Ashley Parker Angel. With enough reality TV credits between them to fill programming on the entire Bravo network, we deep dive some of our favs - The Hills (sorry Ryan), DWTS (congrats on the Mirror Ball Drew), Making The Band (the show that started it all for Erik) and Love Is Blind, The Ultimatum and The Masked Singer (just because Nick is not here does not mean we cannot talk about him). On a serious note, we talk about the shocking loss of Aaron Carter a few weeks back and the benefit concert in his honor we can expect next month. Finally, we talk what new music we can expect from each, the brilliance of Harry Styles and how Justin Timberlake and a certain Spice Girl have an open invite to join them on this, or any future incarnation of A Boy Band Christmas. We've all been there: you're poking your head into the freezer at the grocery store, trying to pick out the perfect popsicle flavor, and suddenly — brrrrr! Your body is covered in goosebumps!
