In this episode of Profiling Evil, I sit down with Sarah Edmondson and Anthony “Nippy” Ames from A Little Bit Culty for a raw and honest conversation about cult behavior, coercive control, undue influence and the slow erosion of personal autonomy. They were inside NXIVM, the organization led by Keith Raniere, who was convicted in federal court in 2019 of racketeering, sex trafficking, attempted sex trafficking, forced labor conspiracy and other crimes. In 2020, Raniere was sentenced to 120 years in prison. But this conversation isn't just about NXIVM. It's about how control can be disguised as self-improvement, leadership training, discipline, personal growth, spiritual development or belonging. Sarah and Nippy explain how people don't usually walk into a destructive group knowing what it really is. They walk in because they're looking for purpose, community, answers, confidence, healing or a better version of themselves. That's what makes this discussion so important. We talk about the first hooks, the love bombing, the status systems, the pressure to ignore red flags, the “us versus them” thinking, the sunk cost fallacy, the fear of admitting you were wrong and the painful moment when a person finally realizes the leader is not who they claimed to be.Sarah shares how her intuition warned her early, but how those warnings were slowly trained out of her. Nippy talks about susceptibility, blind spots, loyalty, shame and why assuming “that could never happen to me” may be one of the most dangerous beliefs a person can carry.Their podcast, A Little Bit Culty, focuses on helping people understand, heal from and avoid abusive systems “one little red flag at a time,” and their book, A Little Bit Culty, is described as a guide to understanding how manipulation and control take hold, and how people can begin to break free. From a criminal behavior perspective, this episode looks at how predatory personalities study vulnerability. They don't always begin with threats. Often, they begin with charm, praise, status, access and the promise that you can become something better if you'll just trust the process. That's where control gets dangerous. Not when it looks obvious, but when it looks helpful. This is a conversation for parents, students, true crime followers, faith communities, business leaders, coaches, creators and anyone who wants to better understand coercive control before it reaches the point of crisis. Because cult tactics aren't limited to cults. They can show up in relationships, workplaces, political movements, wellness groups, online communities, business cultures and anywhere a person uses trust to gain power over someone else.#ProfilingEvil #ALittleBitCulty #SarahEdmondson #NippyAmes #NXIVM #KeithRaniere #CoerciveControl #UndueInfluence #CultBehavior #CultSurvivors #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #CrimeCon #CriminalBehavior #PredatorBehavior #Manipulation #Gaslighting #LoveBombing #PsychologicalControl #SurvivorVoices #CrimeAnalysis #BehavioralAnalysis #CultRecovery #RedFlags #TrueCrimePodcast #MappingEvil========================================A Little Bit Culty: https://alittlebitculty.com/========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================

Anytime I get to sit across from someone who works with energy and the spiritual world at this level, I go straight for the question I most want answered: how does alcohol affect spiritual insights? Dallisa is a psychic medium, intuition teacher, and founder of Spirit and Spark, and her answer to that question gave me chills. Her explanation is straightforward: everything vibrates at a frequency, and in order to access higher dimensions, your spirit guides, your intuition, or source energy, your own frequency needs to be elevated. Alcohol lowers it. This aligns with what I've heard from shamans and from researchers studying the neuroscience of alcohol and brain connectivity: when the different regions of your brain stop communicating, you lose access to the biggest guide you have, your own inner knowing. We go from there into how Dallisa's abilities opened almost overnight in 2015, why she believes everyone has psychic capacity and what spirit has been downloading to her about the next decade of global change, including what disruptions are coming for education, healthcare, careers, AI, and what's coming for the coasts of North America. We also get into astrology, specifically the North Node, which Dallisa describes as the northern star your soul aimed at in this lifetime, the clue to what you actually came here to do. She pulled mine live in this episode and I was immediately taking notes. IN THIS EPISODE: Why alcohol lowers your frequency and blocks your ability to access intuition and spiritual connection How Dallisa's psychic abilities opened overnight in 2015 through a message from a friend's recently deceased aunt Why she believes everyone has psychic ability and what you can start doing today to develop yours What spirit has been channeling about disruption in the coming decade, education, healthcare, careers, and the early 2030s The North Node in your astrological chart and why it might be the most useful thing to look at if you're questioning your purpose right now What Dallisa pulled for my North Node live in this episode Find Dallisa at spiritandspark.com, with a free gift waiting for you there. The Nancy Guthrie investigation continues to generate questions, speculation, and plenty of opinions. Over the last several days, we've learned more about one man who admitted sending fraudulent communications connected to the case, but it doesn't answer the larger questions that still haunt Nancy's family and investigators. Let's examine the behavioral differences between genuine offender communications and hoaxes. We'll talk about why investigators compare statements the way they do, why the FBI's recent wording deserves attention, and what we really know, what we don't know, and why patience is still important in a complex investigation. Can this case still be solved? Why just one authentic communication hidden among several hoaxes could still become the breakthrough investigators need and why public frustration doesn't automatically mean law enforcement has failed.#NancyGuthrie #SavannahGuthrie #ProfilingEvil #TrueCrime #MissingPerson #FBI #Tucson #Arizona #BehavioralAnalysis #CrimeNews #CriminalProfiling #Investigation #JusticeForNancy #ColdCase #StatementAnalysis #Victimology #CrimeInvestigation #LawEnforcement #TrueCrimeCommunity #BreakingNews #CrimeAnalysis #GIS #Esri #ArcGIS========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================

To break out of the daily grind and achieve true freedom, Goodbread introduces a framework mapping the eight core areas of business onto the DISC personality profile . He emphasizes that a CEO's highest-value work is finding clients and solving problems, yet most advisors dilute their hourly worth by performing low-leverage admin and operational tasks . Ultimately, scaling to a multi-million dollar asset requires shifting all beneath-pay-grade tasks to specialized A-players before finally duplicating oneself to step away from day-to-day operations entirely . Federal prosecutors have announced arrests tied to an alleged plot to attack the #UFCFreedom250 event at the White House. According to the Department of Justice, the alleged plan included explosive-laden drones, forced crowd movement, and sniper fire aimed at government officials and others attending the event. This episode is not about politics. It is about behavior. Let's look at this case through the lens of criminal behavior, threat assessment, leakage, grievance, fanaticism, online reinforcement, and the warning signs that can appear before targeted violence. This is a practical discussion about how dangerous people move from anger, to identity, to planning, and how normal people can recognize red flags before tragedy happens.#DonaldTrump #TrueCrime #Crime #Behavior #Threat #PublicSafety #RedFlags #TargetedViolence #ViolencePrevention #FBI #SecretService #BehavioralAnalysis #OnlineRadicalization #Fanaticism #CrimeNews #BreakingNews #UFC #UFCFreedom250 #TrueCrimeCommunity #CrimeAnalysis #ViolencePrevention #WhiteHouse #Politics========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
The Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing is less about dramatic testimony and more about the fight over what the judge, the public, the media, and eventually a jury pool should be allowed to hear before trial. Investigators testified about the investigation after Robinson turned himself in, Robinson's roommate and his statement and whether it will be admitted into evidence. Prosecutors wanted the audio played in open court and the defense is fighting it because they believe it contains statements the state will later characterize as confessions. Erika Kirk, victim Charlie Kirk's widow is pushing for full transparency and asked the court to allow the evidence to be made public for the world to see.It seems the court will bind Robinson over for trial, the evidence has been overwhelming that he was on the campus, in proximity of where the shot was fired from and recorded fleeing the area with something that could be considered a weapon in his hands after the shot. So why is this judge being so cautious? Is it concerns of later appeals, the fact this is happening on a global scale or is he simply being a judge and considering whether public trust, media coverage, conspiracy claims, and the defendant's rights are balanced. Don't forget, Tyler Robinson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.#ProfilingEvil #MikeKing #TylerRobinson #CharlieKirk #CharlieKirkCase #ErikaKirk #CharlieKirkMurder #UtahValleyUniversity #UVU #PreliminaryHearing #AgentBrianDavis #LanceTwiggs #ErikaKirk #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #CourtroomCoverage #LegalAnalysis #DeathPenaltyCase #CriminalJustice #UtahNews #BreakingNews #CourtCase #BehavioralAnalysis #TrialWatch #PublicAccess #JusticeSystem========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
Agent Hull's testimony in the Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing gave us a much better look at how prosecutors are trying to move this case forward. The judge is not deciding guilt at this stage, instead he's trying to determine if there is reasonable cause to bind Tyler Robinson over for trial in the shooting death of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Pay attention to the way investigators place Robinson on the UVU campus multiple times on the morning of the shooting, first in shorts and a red shirt, later with a blue backpack, and then later again in different clothing while walking with what Agent Hull described as “a gait or a limp.” Prosecutors used the video evidence to track the person they identify as Robinson moving toward the rooftop where he allegedly laid prone at the corner of the roof before the shot was fired. Then, he ran with something in his hands to the corner of the rooftop where he scaled down the building and ran into a nearby wooded area. He didn't take the stairs, and the video supports the claim that the clothing matched that worn by Tyler Robinson when he was seen going to the rooftop. The important question for today is not whether every issue has been proven for trial. It's whether the state showed enough reasonable cause to move this case forward to a trial. This powerful testimony may also support the prosecution's larger argument about planning, preparation, premeditation, flight, and eventually a possible death penalty case. Until a decision is made by a jury, Tyler Robinson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.#ProfilingEvil #MikeKing #TylerRobinson #CharlieKirk #CharlieKirkCase #CharlieKirkMurder #UtahValleyUniversity #UVU #PreliminaryHearing #AgentHull #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #CourtroomCoverage #LegalAnalysis #DeathPenaltyCase #CriminalJustice #SurveillanceVideo #BehavioralAnalysis #UtahNews #CrimeNews #BreakingNews #AggravatedMurder #CourtCase #TrialWatch========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
Grief is a strange thing to show up for publicly when you're still right in the middle of it, and honestly, parts of what I'm going through right now feel so private and so deep that I'm not even sure I have the language for it yet. But I felt called to share, because some of this might help someone. A few weeks ago I recorded an episode about losing Huxley unexpectedly on Memorial Day. If you haven't heard that one yet, go back and listen first. This episode is what's come after and what I've leaned into to heal and process my loss. It feels like I'm in the middle of a big spiritual awakening. Something about grief this deep, when you actually let yourself feel it instead of escaping it, has a way of shaking loose everything you thought you knew about yourself. My values, my worldview, my identity, how I want to show up in this work is all up for questioning. In this episode I'm sharing four specific things that have been genuinely helping me move through loss. IN THIS EPISODE Why I deleted the games off my phone and started auditing where I was unconsciously checking out The 14 books I read last month and why grief sent me deep into Jungian analysis, shamanic practices, and dream interpretation What dream interpretation has opened up for me, including a dream where Huxley showed me something I needed to hear The signs Huxley keeps sending me and why I've stopped dismissing what my intuition points to The February knowing I had about Huxley's time, and what that's taught me about trusting what I feel even when my logical brain argues back Why writing, including poetry that I haven't written since high school, has been the most healing thing of all What writing my second book from a coffee shop overlooking the ocean has felt like during all of this Thank you for the outpouring of love and messages since the last episode. Over four hundred of you reached out to share your love and sympathy. It has meant everything. This community is something I don't take for granted. Day one of the Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing in Utah was exactly what I expected it to be, slow, procedural, and at times rather painful. This was not opening statements in a trial. This was the prosecution beginning the process of showing the judge that there is enough probable cause to send the aggravated murder case against Tyler Robinson forward to trial in the shooting death of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Let's examine the first day of testimony that included the presence of Charlie Kirk's widow and family. We heard from the officer who discovered the shooters “sniper pad” and saw and heard from video, graphic evidence and parts of the autopsy report. The defense scored a win when the judge refused to admit a prosecution-created video compilation because it had been altered with zooms, red circles, and other edits. We'll also look at what the prosecution seems to value the most right now in the form of video, geography, line of sight analysis and a careful chain from the shooting scene to the suspected escape route. I also want to discuss what the state seemed to avoid on day one, including deeper motive evidence, DNA, ballistics, etched rounds, and any full discussion of alleged admissions. You'll be surprised with the number of defense objections in this first day of testimony when they argued repeatedly against photos, videos and even written statements. I'm left wondering if this foretells of motions and appeals down the road.#TylerRobinson #CharlieKirk #CharlieKirkMurder #ProfilingEvil #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #CourtroomCoverage #PreliminaryHearing #UtahCrime #UtahValleyUniversity #CriminalJustice #DeathPenaltyCase #BreakingCrimeNews #TrueCrimeNews #CourtTV #LawAndCrime #CrimeAnalysis #CriminalBehavior #JusticeForCharlie #MurderTrial #Esri #GIS #ArcGIS #crime #crimemapping========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
The Tyler Robinson preliminary hearing is underway in Provo, Utah, and this could give the public its first real look at the evidence in the Charlie Kirk murder case. Robinson is charged with aggravated murder in the shooting death of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty if he is convicted. This is a preliminary hearing, where the judge decides whether there is enough evidence to move the case forward. The hearing will show us how the state plans to prove identification, intent, motive and aggravating factors as they actively pursue the death penalty. It can also show us how the defense may counter the case, challenge the evidence, object to testimony, and begin laying the groundwork for trial. #ProfilingEvil #MikeKing #TylerRobinson #CharlieKirk #CharlieKirkCase #UtahCrime #UtahNews #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #CrimeNews #CourtroomCoverage #PreliminaryHearing #DeathPenaltyCase #CriminalJustice #BreakingNews #LegalAnalysis #CourtCase #ForensicEvidence #BehavioralAnalysis #TrueCrimeDiscussion========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
The Larry Millete murder trial in San Diego is now moving toward closing arguments. Prosecutors spent nearly a month laying out their case that May “Maya” Millete did not simply walk away from her life, her children, her job, and her family. They argue that her husband, Larry Millete, killed her after their marriage collapsed, after she sought divorce information, and after he became increasingly desperate to keep control of the relationship. The defense put on a much shorter case, calling only three witnesses in a single day, and focused on reasonable doubt: no body, no confirmed cause of death, no obvious crime scene, K9 searches that did not detect human remains in the home, questions about surveillance coverage, and the possibility that Maya could have left unseen. Let's examine the prosecution's theory, the defense response and key testimony as we look to the closing arguments. #MayaMillete #LarryMillete #MilleteTrial #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #ProfilingEvil #MissingPerson #NoBodyCase #SanDiegoCrime #ChulaVista #JusticeForMaya #CrimeAnalysis #CriminalBehavior #DomesticViolenceAwareness #CoerciveControl #CourtroomAnalysis #TrialWatch #ClosingArguments #MurderTrial #TrueCrimePodcast #ArcGIS #Esri #GIS #Mapping #crime========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
Sfinga and Key tackle another hotly-requested topic: how to identify, divine on, and profile new spirits that may be approaching your court. In addition to considering temporary wanderers, distant allies of your spirits that may be stopping by to visit, and also those interested in coming by for only a season or a year, they consider some of the signs by which to recognize the activity of a new being that is staying around and how best to verify their presence and qualities through divination and the authority and protection of your existing spirits and ancestors. The Dragon and Owl also discuss some of the tools they bring to a spiritual court investigation and how folks can come to tease out and understand the qualities of new spirits from the background of ambient existing phenomena. The Fourth of July in the United States is supposed to be about celebration, fireworks, family, and freedom. But in some cases, that same holiday mix of travel, late nights, alcohol, crowds, arguments, unfamiliar places, and changed routines can create risk. Let's examine five missing person cases connected to the Fourth of July holiday period: #RoxannePaltauf, #PattiAdkins, #BonnieLeeSchultz, #EdgarAberilla, and #CrystalArensdorf. These cases are not the same. Some appear to involve people the victim knew. Others raise the possibility of a target of opportunity. One case may not be criminal at all but instead shows how quickly a vulnerable person can disappear when routine supervision breaks down. Our goal is not to blame victims but to learn from repeated behaviors and ask what we can do better.#FourthOfJuly #MissingPersons #TrueCrime #ColdCase #RoxannePaltauf #PattiAdkins #BonnieLeeSchultz #EdgarAberilla #CrystalArensdorf #UnsolvedMystery #CrimeAnalysis #Victimology #CriminalBehavior #ColdCaseFiles #MissingWomen #PublicSafety #TrueCrimeCommunity #CrimePrevention #GIS #Esri #Truecrime========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
On today's show, we meet Robert Petkoff, who will be front and center when Moulin Rouge! The Musical is on stage at Walton Arts Center next week, but you may have already spent time with his voice on one of the audiobook bestsellers he's narrated. Plus, three of our summer interns, all graduates of Benton County high schools, get six questions they shouldn't be expected to know the correct answers to. We also get River Valley news from Talk Business & Politics.
Lisa Sykes calls herself the Beyonce of the birth world, and once you hear her talk, you understand exactly why. She's the number one business coach for doulas, midwives, and birth professionals worldwide, and she built that entire identity by refusing to do things the way everyone told her she had to. Lisa spent 15 years as a doula after leaving a corporate career in IT following a redundancy and a moment of clarity that sounds a lot like the moment so many of us have around alcohol, a sudden, undeniable knowing that this isn't it anymore. She trained, she built a doula business that booked out in its first month, and eventually pivoted into coaching other doulas and midwives on the business-side of things. We get into what a doula actually is versus a midwife, why the birth world has historically undervalued itself, and how Lisa built a movement around the radical idea that supporting women through birth is not a lifestyle choice, it's a necessity, priced accordingly. We also talk about her alcohol-free journey, which crept up on her gradually through marathon training in Dubai, and how stopping drinking unlocked a level of clarity and conviction that she says 10x'd overnight. Plus the real conversation about partner objections, and why Lisa thinks the "I need to ask my husband" conversation tells you everything you need to know about whether someone is the right client. IN THIS EPISODE Why Lisa believes pricing your work as a necessity instead of a luxury changes everything about how people respond The marathon-training path that led Lisa to five years alcohol-free skyrocketing her business How a redundancy and a moment of total clarity led Lisa out of corporate and into entrepreneurship Why doulas and midwives have been historically underpaid, and how Lisa flipped that narrative completely How to handle the "I need to talk to my partner" objection The mantra Lisa and her husband have used through every big risk they've taken Apply to be our next Thought Leader to master premium selling and thought leader positioning to publish your book and deliver your keynote onstage. Sam Bateman, the self-proclaimed prophet tied to a polygamous FLDS offshoot, took the stand in his own defense and the jury did not buy it. Bateman was already serving a 50-year federal sentence for a child sexual abuse conspiracy involving underage girls, but this state case focused on three young girls found inside an enclosed trailer he was hauling through Flagstaff in 2022. This episode walks through the opening statements, Bateman's decision to represent himself, the prosecution's argument, the criminal charges, Bateman's testimony, and why the jury only took 40 minutes to returned guilty verdicts on all of the child abuse counts. We'll also talk about the larger behavior pattern and what the courtroom evidence and credible reporting taught us about coercive control and how predators use belief systems to hide abuse in plain sight.#SamBateman #SamuelBateman #FalseProphet #TrustMeTheFalseProphet #FLDS #Polygamy #ChildAbuse #ChildBrides #DomesticViolence #DV #TrueCrime #ProfilingEvil #CrimeNews #ArizonaCrime #Cults #CoerciveControl #Netflix #ReligiousAbuse #SurvivorVoices #JusticeForChildren #CourtroomDrama #CriminalBehavior #PredatorPsychology #HiddenAbuse #TrueCrimeCommunity========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
New reporting in the Nancy Guthrie case reveals disturbing details about that second ransom note sent after the 84-year-old Tucson woman was abducted from her home. The news feels old, but the clarifications are breaking! According to reports, the note said Nancy died shortly after she was taken and was “buried in nature.” That phrase caught my attention because it may be more than just unusual wording. It could be literal, but it could also reflect awkward English, translation software, or someone trying to say she was buried outside town, in a remote area, or somewhere in the desert.Catch my recent NewsMax appearance on the case, what the second ransom note may tell us, and why we need to be careful before jumping to conclusions. It's fair to demand transparency where transparency is appropriate, but it's not fair to assume the sheriff's office, the FBI, or the integrity of the investigation has failed just because we don't know everything investigators know. Let's look at the offender behavior, the possible meaning behind the language in the note, the investigative challenges, and why truth requires discipline. Nancy Guthrie deserves answers, not internet noise. Today's podcast guest is Joe Pedulla. Joe is a strength coach at the University of Oklahoma, where he oversees performance training for softball and women's golf. Prior to Oklahoma, he coached in professional baseball with the Kansas City Royals organization and worked extensively in private-sector performance, helping athletes develop strength, speed, power, and resilience. This episode with Joe Pedulla explores how coaches can better identify what athletes truly need in speed, strength, and power development. Joe shares his path from small-college baseball player to SEC strength coach, including lessons from self-directed training, throwing development, and imperfect environments. The conversation dives into sprint profiling, athlete archetypes, resisted sprinting, tempo work, training buckets, and how coaches can balance general development with individualized performance needs. Ashley Roberts graduated from the 5x Certification and has built something really beautiful since then, a feminine embodiment movement practice rooted in dance, somatic work, and helping women find their way back into their bodies after years of operating purely from logic and achievement. In this episode, we get into what feminine embodiment actually means, because it gets thrown around so much online that it starts to lose its shape. Ashley breaks it down through Marion Woodman's work, through the masculine and feminine as water and mountains, and through her own story of feeling completely disconnected from her body until she went alcohol-free and found her way into a feminine embodiment workshop that changed her perspective. We talk about what it looks like when someone is operating too much in their masculine: the hyper independence, the need for control, the inability to receive help, and why that pattern almost always comes from a place that once needed safety. Ashley shares how dance became her way out of her head and into her body, what her Monday night movement classes actually look like, and how this work completely shifted her marriage, her confidence, and her relationship with her own sensuality. We also get into the cyclical nature of feminine energy, how to know when softening is actually the right move versus when it's fear dressed up as surrender, and the very honest conversation about how alcohol was Ashley's old shortcut to the same thing dance gives her now, except one of them backfires and one of them doesn't. INSIDE THIS EPISODE: What feminine embodiment actually means, and why it has nothing to do with gender roles The signs that someone is stuck in hyper masculine mode, and why hyper independence is really about safety Why dance is one of the fastest ways to get out of your head and into your body How Ashley's marriage changed when she stopped trying to prove she was pulling her weight The difference between healthy surrender and using softness as a mask for fear How working with your cycle changes how you plan your energy across the month Why alcohol numbs the exact thing feminine energy is built on, the ability to feel LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED Apply to be our next Thought Leader to master premium selling and thought leader positioning to publish your book and deliver your keynote onstage. Between 1962 and 1964, thirteen women in the Boston area were murdered in a case that terrified a city and became known around the world as the Boston Strangler murders. For decades, the public was told Albert DeSalvo was the killer. He confessed, the headlines moved on, and Boston tried to put the nightmare behind it. But DeSalvo was never convicted of the Strangler murders. His confession had problems, several suspects remained in the background, and even after DNA tied him to one victim in 2013, questions remain about whether one man killed all thirteen women. In this episode we look at the victims, the investigation, the suspects, the confession, and the evidence that still leaves this case sitting somewhere between closure and mystery.#BostonStrangler #AlbertDeSalvo #AnnaSlesers #MaryMullen #NinaNichols #HelenBlake #IdaIrga #JaneSullivan #SophieClark #PatriciaBissette #MaryAnnBrown #BeverlySamans #EvelynCorbin #JoannGraff #MarySullivan #GeorgeNassar #TrueCrime #ColdCase #CriminalBehavior #ProfilingEvil #GIS #Esri #ArcGIS========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================

Rex Heuermann has now been sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison for the Gilgo Beach serial killings. After pleading guilty to seven murders and admitting responsibility for an eighth, the former Long Island architect stood in court as victims' families finally had the chance to speak directly about the pain, the waiting, and the years stolen from them. In this episode we'll look at Heuermann's sentencing from a victimology and criminal behavior perspective. This is not about giving the killer more attention. It's about remembering Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Amber Lynn Costello, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Jessica Taylor, Sandra Costilla, Valerie Mack, and Karen Vergata. It's also about Shannan Gilbert, whose disappearance helped expose what had been hidden along Ocean Parkway, and Asian Doe, who still deserves a name. We'll talk about the judge's words, Heuermann's brief statement, the importance of victim impact statements, and why the District Attorney's office must continue looking at other possible victim cases. Not because Heuermann needs more prison time. He's already going away forever. But because victims and families deserve the truth, even when the investigation is expensive, difficult, and unlikely to change the sentence.#RexHeuermann #GilgoBeach #LongIslandSerialKiller #MelissaBarthelemy #MeganWaterman #AmberLynnCostello #MaureenBrainardBarnes #JessicaTaylor #SandraCostilla #ValerieMack #KarenVergata #ShannanGilbert #AsianDoe #GilgoFour #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #ProfilingEvil #MikeKing #Victimology #CriminalBehavior #SerialKiller #BehavioralAnalysis #FBI #ColdCase #MissingPersons #UnidentifiedVictims #JusticeForVictims #CrimeScene #LongIslandCrime #PersonalSafety #GIS #Esri #ArcGIS========================================Get Aipas eBike at a discount: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVIL========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
Rex Heuermann is scheduled to be sentenced in Long Island, New York on June 17, 2026, after pleading guilty to the murders of seven women and admitting responsibility for an eighth. In this episode, Profiling Evil looks at the Gilgo Beach case from a criminal behavior perspective, not by glorifying the killer, but by asking a practical question: why do serial killers do what they do? We'll talk about four things that often show up in serial murder cases: fantasy, the thrill of the hunt, the gap between fantasy and reality, and the offender's desire for legacy. Most importantly, we'll remember the victims: Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Amber Lynn Costello, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Jessica Taylor, Sandra Costilla, Valerie Mack, and Karen Vergata. We'll also talk about Shannan Gilbert, whose disappearance helped expose the terrible reality hidden along Ocean Parkway, and why we need to keep pushing for answers in cases involving unidentified and overlooked victims.#RexHeuermann #GilgoBeach #LongIslandSerialKiller #MelissaBarthelemy #MeganWaterman #AmberLynnCostello #MaureenBrainardBarnes #JessicaTaylor #SandraCostilla #ValerieMack #KarenVergata #ShannanGilbert #AsianDoe #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #ProfilingEvil #MikeKing #CriminalBehavior #Victimology #BehavioralAnalysis #SerialKiller #ColdCase #CrimeScene #JusticeForVictims #PersonalSafety #CrimePrevention #FBI #GilgoFour #LongIslandCrime #MissingPersons #UnidentifiedVictims #GIS #storymaps #Esri========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
Explore the dark psychological architecture behind state-sponsored terror as we profile the operatives recruited into Iran's Quds Force. This episode examines the complex intersection of ideological radicalization, coercive control, and the compartmentalized mindsets required to execute cross-border assassinations. By analyzing the behavioral patterns of captured cells, we decode how sovereign nations psychologically weaponize proxies to project deniable power globally.
This podcast by Dr. Dan Zlotoff reviews new research on immune checkpoint inhibitor–associated myocarditis, a rare but serious complication of cancer immunotherapy, focusing on emerging inflammatory biomarkers such as interleukin‑6 and immune cell signatures. The study highlights potential pathways for risk stratification and targeted therapies, while underscoring the need for larger trials to develop reliable diagnostic and treatment strategies in cardio‑oncology.
Chad Daybell said his “Letters from Chad” project would finally tell the truth about the murders of JJ Vallow, Tylee Ryan, and Tammy Daybell. Ten letters later, he's paused the series and nothing has changed. In this Profiling Evil breakdown, Mike King walks letter by letter through Daybell's self-serving narrative, using “The Ten Failed Commandments” to show how each installment dodges responsibility, rewrites history, and tries to re-cast a convicted murderer as a misunderstood prophet. This isn't about giving Chad Daybell more oxygen — it's about centering the victims: JJ Vallow, Tylee Ryan, Tammy Daybell, Charles Vallow, and the survivors like Brandon Boudreaux and Colby Ryan. From near-death experience stories to eclipse mysticism to his “final” Letter #10, we'll examine how fantasy, narcissism, and religious manipulation collide — and why the chain he forged in life is still clanking loudly on death row. At the end, I'll also provide a short update on where Lori Daybell's case sits at this time. #ChadDaybell #LoriVallow #LoriDaybell #TammyDaybell #JJVallow #TyleeRyan #CharlesVallow #BrandonBoudreaux #ColbyRyan #AlexCox #MelanieGibb #ZulemaPastenes #DaybellLetters #Letter10 #TrueCrime #CultCrime #DoomsdayCult #IdahoMurders #ArizonaTrials #ProfilingEvil======================================== CrimeCon Discount Code: https://crimecon.regfox.com/cctw3ntys1x(In Voucher/Coupon area, enter: PROFILINGEVIL========================================https://gamutpodcasts.com/show/gardensofevilinsidethezionsocietycult/========================================20% OFF Newspapers.com https://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
I recently lost one of the greatest loves of my life, my soul dog Huxley. He passed really unexpectedly on Memorial Day. He was 11 and a half. He was fine that morning. He ate breakfast, he cuddled with us, he sat in the sun while we were at the pool. By that evening, he was gone. He had massive internal bleeding and we had no idea anything was wrong until his gums went pale and we were racing across town to an emergency vet that Memorial Day night. What followed was four hours of the most tender goodbyes I've ever experienced, and then one of the hardest weeks of my life. I've been thinking a lot about what it means to grieve fully, to actually feel it instead of pushing it down and numbing it. I did that in my early 20s after a bad heartbreak, drowned myself in alcohol, and missed the whole thing. I shoved it down and it just kept showing up later as triggers and pain I hadn't processed. This time I felt all of it. The shock, the devastation, the beauty, the signs he's been sending us since. I'm also sharing something I found in my journal from February, a few months before he died, where I had written about him without knowing what was coming. And what it made me realize about presence and about what being alcohol-free actually means at the deepest level. IN THIS EPISODE How we lost Huxley and what those four hours of goodbye looked like The three things that determine how deep grief hits, and why losing a dog child can undo you completely What I did differently this time compared to grieving through alcohol in my early 20s, and what that cost me back then The signs Huxley has been sending us since he passed, and why I'm not calling any of them coincidences What I found in my journal from February that I wrote without knowing what was coming Why being alcohol-free is really just another way of saying you are awake to your life What alcohol actually takes from you, and why you feel the bad but miss all the good when you numb LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED Apply to be our next Thought Leader to master premium selling and thought leader positioning to publish your book and deliver your keynote onstage. While filming a new documentary in Los Angeles, a story from Japan caught my attention and I keep thinking about it. It's the story of 20-year-old Auburn University student James "Weston" Higginbotham, a young man who disappeared during a family trip to Japan and was later found deceased after an extensive search in the mountains outside Kyoto. This isn't a video about assigning blame or creating theories unsupported by evidence. It's a discussion about victimology, missing person investigations, GIS technology, volunteer search efforts, emotional distress, mental health awareness, and the painful reality that families are often left carrying questions that may never be fully answered. We'll examine what is publicly known about Weston, why this case resonates with so many people, what investigators can learn from the search effort, and why loved ones should never carry the burden of believing they could have controlled another person's choices.#WestonHigginbotham #MissingInJapan #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #GriefAndLoss #FamilySupport #MissingPersons #SearchAndRescue #SAR #Victimology #HumanBehavior #BehavioralAnalysis #InvestigativeAnalysis #GIS #PublicSafety #TrueCrimeCommunity #TrueCrime #AuburnUniversity #Kyoto #ProfilingEvil #esri ========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================

When survivors begin talking about abuse years later, the story often does not come out in a clean timeline. It can come back through sensory details, body reactions, fragmented memories, and moments that leave spouses, families, and even investigators struggling to understand what they are hearing. In this episode, Mike King sits down with Dr. Judy Ho to unpack what trauma can do to memory, why triggers feel so physical, why disclosure can unfold in pieces, and how well-meaning loved ones sometimes contaminate the process by pressing too hard or asking the wrong kinds of questions. This is a conversation about real-world survivor behavior, the emotional strain on spouses, and the criminal justice challenge of trying to seek truth without turning disclosure into suggestion. Seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro was reported missing in August 2025 after his mother, Rebecca Haro, claimed he had been kidnapped during a diaper change in a Yucaipa parking lot. That story triggered a community search, media coverage, and public fear. But investigators later said the kidnapping story did not hold up.Emmanuel's father, Jake Haro, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, assault on a child under eight causing death, and filing a false police report. He was sentenced on November 3, 2025, to 25 years to life, with additional time tied to other offenses. Rebecca Haro just pleaded guilty to felony child abuse causing great bodily injury to a child under five, involuntary manslaughter, and accessory after the fact. She was sentenced to 12 years and 8 months in state prison. Emmanuel's body has still not been recovered. I'm recording this short video from CrimeCon because this case has really troubled me. The courts got guilty pleas and Sentences were imposed. But the one thing Emmanuel still has not received is the dignity of being found, recovered, and properly laid to rest. This episode is not about rage for rage's sake. It's about accountability. It's about child protection. It's about what happens when a child disappears, the public is pulled into a false story, and the justice system closes cases while a baby remains hidden.#EmmanuelHaro #RebeccaHaro #JakeHaro #BabyEmmanuel #ProfilingEvil #TrueCrime #CrimeCon #ChildAbuseAwareness #JusticeForEmmanuel #MissingChild #TrueCrimeCommunity #VictimAdvocacy #CourtroomAnalysis #CriminalBehavior #Crimecon #MikeKing========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
What does control actually look like when you strip away the labels and get down to behavior? In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Steven Hassan to talk about the BITE Model, one of the most practical frameworks for understanding how controlling people, high-demand groups, and manipulative systems gain influence over others. Dr. Hassan draws from his own experience of being recruited into the Unification Church, often referred to as the Mooney's cult, and explains how the work of psychiatrist Robert J. Lifton helped him understand what had happened to him. From there, he breaks down the four parts of the BITE Model, Behavior, Information, Thought, and Emotional control, and explains how these methods can slowly override independent thinking and trap people in unhealthy systems. This conversation goes beyond cults. It helps us think through coercive control in families, relationships, organizations, religious groups, and other environments where power gets used to dominate rather than serve. If you've ever asked yourself how intelligent, capable people can get pulled into harmful systems, this interview gives you a clear, grounded place to start. Watch all the way through, because Dr. Hassan also explains how people can begin to test what they've been told, step back from controlling influence, and start reclaiming their freedom.#ProfilingEvil #StevenHassan #BITEModel #CoerciveControl #UndueInfluence #CultPsychology #MindControl #ThoughtReform #RobertLifton #BehaviorControl #InformationControl #ThoughtControl #EmotionalControl #TrueCrime #CrimeAnalysis #CultSurvivor #FreedomOfMind #HighControlGroups #ForensicPsychology #criminalbehavior ========================================Check out Dr. Steven Hassan at www.FreedomOfMind.com ========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
An investigation by The CITY, built from a database of more than 1,200 lawsuits filed against Immigration and Customs Enforcement, found that of the 430 street arrests it documented across the New York City area, more than 93% targeted Latinos -- far out of proportion to their share of the undocumented population. Gwynne Hogan, senior reporter covering immigration and homelessness for The CITY, and Rosalind Adams, investigative reporter for THE CITY, share their findings and what the numbers reveal about how ICE is operating across the city. My first book came from 15-minute morning writing sprints in a notepad before I even brushed my teeth. This second one makes me cry almost every time I open it. That's probably the best way I can explain why writing it has been so completely different, and why I wanted to bring you into that process right now, while I'm still in it. I'm currently writing my second book. I have an agent, I have a deadline I gave myself, and I have a story I feel so much weight around that I can barely open the document without crying. That's where I am right now, and I figured if 82% of Americans want to write a book, I might as well pull back the curtain on what this process actually looks like. This episode is about how I'm actually making it work, what I've had to learn about deep work versus shallow work, why external accountability is the only reason any of my biggest goals have ever happened, and why this book, about my ancestors and what they survived so I could be here, feels like the most important thing I've ever tried to do. IN THIS EPISODE: Why 82% of Americans want to write a book and almost none of them do The difference between the writing that runs your business and the deep work a book actually requires Tony Robbins' urgent versus important framework and how it explains exactly why your book keeps losing to your inbox Why I write my second book at 9:30pm after dinner instead of during work hours The Katyn massacre, my great uncle, and what I found in the historical research that confirmed stories I had heard my whole life Why I cry almost every single time I open this manuscript How to use force functions to finally make the thing happen that you keep saying you'll do someday What a book proposal actually is, and what the traditional publishing timeline really looks like If you have a book on your heart that you keep putting off, this one is going to feel very familiar. Barry Morphew is preparing to stand trial for the alleged murder of his wife, Suzanne Morphew, whose disappearance on Mother's Day weekend in 2020 became one of Colorado's most watched criminal investigations. The first prosecution was dismissed in 2022, but after Suzanne's remains were found in 2023, prosecutors brought a new first-degree murder indictment in 2025. Barry Morphew has pleaded not guilty, and the trial is scheduled to begin October 13, 2026, with proceedings expected to last up to six weeks. In this episode, we break down a defense motion asking the court to exclude what it calls “so-called victimology testimony.” The motion argues that labels like “victimology,” “pattern of life,” “behavioral analysis,” and “profiling” risk turning investigative context into unfair courtroom testimony. The prosecution is likely to see this same evidence as critical context for Suzanne's life, her routines, her relationship, her communications, and the circumstances around her disappearance. Let's examine why behavior matters in homicide investigations, why prosecutors want it included and defense attorneys see it as dangerous. #SuzanneMorphew #BarryMorphew #ProfilingEvil #TrueCrime #TrueCrimeCommunity #ColoradoCrime #MorphewTrial #Victimology #BehavioralAnalysis #PatternOfLife #CriminalBehavior #ForensicAnalysis #CourtroomAnalysis #JusticeForSuzanne #MissingPersons #GIS #DomesticHomicide #CriminalInvestigation #BAM #Tranquilizer #Colorado #TrueCrimePodcast #CrimeAnalysis========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
In this discussion, Jason Hartman and Michael Zuber emphasize that direct residential real estate is the most historically resilient asset class, particularly during periods of high interest rates. By analyzing 54 years of market data, they argue that while transaction volumes may drop when rates rise, home prices rarely collapse due to limited supply and consistent demand. They contrast this stability with the current volatility in commercial and multifamily syndications, where many investors are losing money because of risky debt structures and high management fees. Hartman stresses the importance of maintaining control over investments to avoid the pitfalls of dishonest or incompetent fund managers. He concludes that leveraged rental properties outperform other assets like gold or stocks over the long term. Consequently, Jason and Michael urge individuals to build wealth by buying and managing their own properties rather than participating in passive investment deals. The South Carolina Supreme Court has reversed Alex Murdaugh's murder convictions and ordered a new trial, but this decision does not declare Murdaugh innocent, and it doesn't erase the evidence presented at trial. What it does say is that the jury process was contaminated by improper influence from Colleton County Clerk of Court Rebecca Hill. What a horrible consequence of bad choices. Let's break down the Court's ruling point by point as I look at what Hill allegedly said to jurors, why the Court applied the Remmer presumption of prejudice, why the State failed to overcome that presumption, and what the Court said about using Murdaugh's financial crimes as motive evidence in a second trial. This is still a case about murder, money, power, courtroom procedure, and public trust. But more than anything, this ruling is a reminder that even the most hated defendant is still entitled to a fair trial.#AlexMurdaugh #MurdaughTrial #MurdaughMurders #MaggieMurdaugh #PaulMurdaugh #RebeccaHill #SouthCarolinaSupremeCourt #TrueCrime #CourtroomDrama #JuryTampering #NewTrial #LegalAnalysis #CriminalBehavior #ProfilingEvil #CrimeNews #TrialWatch #JusticeSystem #Moselle #Lowcountry #TrueCrimeCommunity========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Discounts on eBikes: https://aipasbike.com/?ref=PROFILINGEVILReferral Coupon Code: PROFILINGEVIL========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================

Rachel McElreath is 28 years old, graduated from the 5x Certification, and has already lived more lives than most people do in a lifetime. She started drinking at 15, Halloween night in Atlanta, a bottle of Hennessy handed to her by a friend, parents in crisis at home, and spent the next decade building a life that looked fine from the outside and was quietly falling apart underneath. She held jobs, went to college, went to beauty school. She also worked bottle service in Dallas, dated men who weren't available, and kept ignoring an inner voice that was getting louder by the year. The thing that finally made her stop wasn't a gradual awakening. It was a phone call from her doctor in late 2023 telling her she was one stage away from cervical cancer. That week, she left the relationship she was in. A few weeks later, she quit drinking and made the decision to be celibate, both at the same time. She spent 2024 meeting herself for the first time, rebuilding from almost nothing, and figuring out who she actually was without alcohol, without men, and without the nightlife identity she had built her entire social world around. Now she coaches women through that same process, not just getting sober, but building a life they're actually excited to wake up to. This conversation goes places a lot of podcast episodes don't. We talk about HPV and cervical cancer, three abortions in one year, sexual assault, trauma bonding, and what it actually feels like to realize that the shame you've been carrying isn't yours to keep. Rachel shares all of it without flinching, and that's exactly what makes her work so powerful. IN THIS EPISODE: Starting to drink at 15 when home didn't feel safe, and how that one decision shaped the next decade Working bottle service while her body was sending her signals she kept overriding The phone call from her doctor and what she decided in the weeks that followed Why she quit alcohol and went celibate at the same time, and what two and a half years of that has actually been like The loneliness of dissolving an entire identity and why 2024 was somehow still the best year of her life What she sees shifting in the younger generation around alcohol, and why she's genuinely excited about it LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED Follow Rachel on Instagram. I'm still on vacation, but I can't drive through Europe without noticing the crime stories hiding in plain sight. In this final segment of this European Roadtrip, I travel through Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Paris, and Antwerp, digging into some of the most consequential crimes tied to this route. We're talking about the Strasbourg Christmas market attack and the Bridge of the Butchers, Luxembourg's (Bomb-uh-layer) bombings, the November 2015 Paris attacks, and the Antwerp diamond heist. It's a quick trip from local mid-evil justice on the banks of the river to terrorism, organized theft and the quiet ways offenders study vulnerability. Crowds, routine, access, timing, distraction, all of it matters. And while these cases are very different, they all teach us something about how criminals think, how systems get tested, and what modern travelers can still do to stay alert without giving in to fear. So yes, I'm technically on holiday, but crime doesn't take vacations, and neither does my curiosity.#ProfilingEvil #TrueCrime #Strasbourg #Luxembourg #ParisAttacks #AntwerpDiamondHeist #Bommeleeer #TravelSafety #CrimeTravel #EuropeRoadTrip #CriminalBehavior #Schindbrucke#BridgeoftheButchers #RousseauBridge #CrowBridge #GIS #ArcGIS #CrimeMapping #Map #CrimeAnalysis========================================CrimeCon Discount Code: https://crimecon.regfox.com/cctw3ntys1x (In Voucher/Coupon area, enter: PROFILINGEVIL========================================https://gamutpodcasts.com/show/gardensofevilinsidethezionsocietycult/========================================20% OFF Newspapers.comhttps://www.newspapers.com/go/podcast/?ref=profilingevil?xid=8877&utm_source=ProfilingEvilPodcast&utm_medium=podcst&utm_campaign=ProfilingEvil26========================================Email your questions to: ProfilingEvil@gmail.com========================================
On this very special edition of State of the Union Presented by Zillow, Alexi Lalas had the chance to dive into the beautiful game through the lens of red, white and blue colored glasses with four guests with an eye to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Up first, Tab Ramos dives into the USA ahead of this summer. Is he worried about Pulisic's slump and how far should we expect the U.S. to advance? Soccer writer Leander Schaerlaeckens then joins the show to pull back the curtain on the history of U.S. Soccer, including a glaring issue with this current batch of players. His book, "The Long Game: U.S. Men's Soccer and Its Savage, Four-Decade Journey to the Top, or Thereabouts", is out now. Up next, former Galaxy President and current co-chair for the LA Host Committee for the World Cup, Chris Klein, dives into what fans can expect this summer. Last, but certainly not least, Host City Executive and CEO of Philadelphia Soccer 2026 Meg Kane dispels any rumors on the tailgate ban and what we can expect with her city as we are under a month from the world's biggest sporting event kicking off. 0:00 Intro1:41: Feeling on U.S. team ahead of World Cup7:12: Ramos on American soccer development13:02: Matt Crocker leaving NOT a “Shock”, who is next?14:33: Pulisic's slump… concerned?17:30: How far with the USMNT advance this summer?18:17 - Leander Schaerlaeckens joins the show20:45 - How far have we come since The Miracle of 1950?24:10 - Profiling the current stars: Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adams, Jedi Robinson & Co.27:23 - Team America: A forgotten past29:57 - The biggest issue with the current USA stars…33:01 - What does U.S. Soccer need to do to take the next step?35:15 - Chris Klein joins the show36:50 - Biggest issues planning a World Cup39:19 - What can fans expect in LA?39:35 - Expectations for USMNT41:59 - On his time with the Los Angeles Galaxy47:39 - What would MLS Commissioner Klein do to grow the game first?50:34 - Meg Kane joins the show51:19 - What is keeping Meg Kane up at night hosting a World Cup?52:32 - Context on working with FIFA58:45 - Tailgating in Philadelphia61:37 - France vs Germany on the 4th of July?!
