Great conversation with a true Patriot & my personal tax expert, Mark Kent owner North State Consultants. As told by Mark: Born in Yreka California, my family moved to Running Springs in Southern California till fourth grade, and from there we moved all over the state of California because of my Fathers work with Cal Trans. I have lived in every part of the state at one time of another.  I went to five different high schools Burlingame high, Hanford high, Yreka High, Happy Camp High and Graduated from Peninsula High in San Mateo. Went on to some college at CSM but most of what I have in education has come from hard fought battles in the real world, not academia.  I have been self Employed since I was seven years old. My first business was a worm farm. I went on to other various business, paper routes, played accordion in a Italian restaurant , projectionist in a movie theater, Pool service company, Licensed Timber Harvester, along with other logging related activities. I build split rail fences and sold wood by the cord. I was also employed by various government agencies included CDF as Timber Faller, USFS Fighting Fire, US Army as a Power Diesel Generation Mechanic, and the public works Department at the City of San Mateo.  I Started a Marble and Tile Delivery Service in the Bay Area in the early 80’s where I studied Law. Yes you heard that correct while driving delivery and being in the truck most of each day, instead of listen to music , I listened to Law and Taxation courses from various colleges including Cornell and Loyola just to name a few. So while driving delivery I listened and studied under America’s Greatest Law Professors. I referred to that old 1972 Chevy truck as my university on wheels or Commute U.   Somewhere in this time frame my Son was diagnosed with cancer and I had almost a million dollars in medical expenses that I had no idea how I was going to pay. So I started a tax preparation and consulting business, while also working for and tutoring under some very experience businessmen.  I have been very lucky to have had some amazing mentors and associates. Olympic weightliftertax Consultant, a Tax Attorney, Professional Baseball Player, Sales experts, Data analysts, all highly trained and motivated people. The best mentors I could find in their respective fields of expertise. They all contributed to my success in many different ways. I have completed so many courses on Law and Taxation it would be redundant to list them. So I like to say I went to the University of Hard knocks and earned a Degree in Results. I have been practicing in the field of Taxation for about thirty years now specializing in small business tax strategies. I also specialize in trouble shooting any problems concerning engagements with the IRS including but not limited to audits, collection, record keeping, entity selection and implementation. I have also been involved with, and helped set up and run several Not for profit corporations and associations. I currently host talk radio show on KCNR 1460 a local am station.    Resources: https://www.facebook.com/mark.e.kent.7 http://apps.kcnr1460.com/Show/archive/sovereign_minds (http://apps.kcnr1460.com/Show/archive/sovereign_minds) https://www.kcnr1460.com/ (https://www.kcnr1460.com/) https://aclj.org/government-corruption/exclusive-premiere-of-targeting-us-sekulow-ep-543-pt-1 (https://aclj.org/government-corruption/exclusive-premiere-of-targeting-us-sekulow-ep-543-pt-1) (https://aclj.org/government-corruption/exclusive-premiere-of-targeting-us-sekulow-ep-543-pt-1) Exclusive Premiere of ‘Targeting U.S.’ - Sekulow Ep. 543 pt. 1 - American Center for Law and Justice (https://aclj.org/government-corruption/exclusive-premiere-of-targeting-us-sekulow-ep-543-pt-1) Former FBI Agent Peter Strzok’s notes reveal the Obama Administration’s plot to take down President Trump and General Flynn. Quote:  “The devil is always in the details, right?” —Mark Baird   About: If the State of Jefferson ever formed, it’s unlikely Anthony Bourdain would ever travel there for its pizza or burritos. Mark Baird, the “unofficial” leader of the State of Jefferson movement, likes to think they’d be known for their buffalo burgers. Though, he’ll admit, he’s in the minority. Most people behind this movement, he says, would probably prefer beef. Being in the minority is a feeling he’s had for quite some time. Living in Northern California with Baird’s heavy libertarian point-of-view would likely drive most people crazy, and out of the state. But Baird wants to stay. He’d just prefer he was living in a new state, a State of Jefferson. Feeling that he’s had no representation in how Sacramento operates, this semi-retired pilot and former buffalo rancher has spent the past several years convincing thousands of citizens along with cities, counties and mayors to join his grass-roots movement. In Part II of II of this story, we ask how Baird plans to form this new state and look into the financials, legality and likelihood of whether the State of Jefferson can ever live up to being more than just a state of mind.
