Jannah Scott grew up in San Fransisco, amidst diverse friends and the unique leadership of her mother. It's no surprise then that Jannah found her place as a leader in government and civil society, both nationally and internationally. Having served as Policy Advisor on Faith and Community Initiatives to former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, Jannah was given the opportunity to serve in President Obama's administration as Deputy Director of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. As you can tell, her heart is for policies, programs, and local initiatives that promote peace for all people. But as Jannah shares in this episode, she also has an immense heart for prayer and a big love for Jesus--gifts encoded in her DNA. Her mother was a prayer warrior; so was her grandmother. Jannah credits her mother's many prayers as the reason she overcame substance use, allowing her to grow into the resilient leader she was made to be.Join us as Jannah shares about her substance use recovery, her experience with tragic grief, her time and work during the Obama administration, and the collective trauma of the black community. There's so much to learn from her leadership. Don't miss this episode!Today, Jannah is the CEO of the American Center for Religious Freedom (ACRF), and has been since 2017. Empire of Lies & The Soros Agenda

From the January 29th, 2026, Rumble live stream.New York Times bestselling author Charles Goyette says that the Deep State, the executive arm of Global American Military Empire, has been gaslighting the people into one phony war after another... Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine... for far too long. In his book Empire of Lies: Fragments from the Memory Hole, Goyette delivers a take-no-prisoners account of personalities and political deceit, false flags and fake news, coups and Cold Wars, and inconceivable blunders. Going beyond policy, revealing the dark role a strange psychological malady, COMBAT ENVY, plays in the lies warmongering public figures tell. Charles Goyette joins me to discuss the dark truths revealed in Empire of Lies.George Soros is 96 years old, but the damage he has done to America and around the world is guaranteed to continue through the organizations he built and through his placing his son, Alexander, in control of those organizations to keep them on the course he has set. As if leftist, progressive indoctrination in America's academic institutions weren't a big enough problem, (Soros realized a very long time ago that "commendering" education is possibly the single most effective tool to use when fundumentally changing a nation), the Open Society Foundations and Bard College pressers announced today that Bard College succeeded matching "a $500 million commitment from Open Society by raising an additional $500 million from other donors, securing a $1 billion endowment to support the college's undergraduate and graduate programs, faculty, student scholarships, the arts, and international engagement." (Bard College in upstate New York has campuses in New York City, Boston, California, Germany, and Russia; Al-Quds University in the West Bank; Arizona State University; the American University of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan; and BRAC University in Bangladesh, while also funding many other academic institutions.) Soros created the OSUN, a "new kind of global educational network," to serve as a global indoctrination organ for training and fighting against "climate change" — which at that time was the left's hottest crusade; today, it's "anti-ICE" and censorship — and proliferating teaching "against nationalism," along with supporting other opportune themes that advance his progressive-left diversionist agenda.  All of this is under the guise of Soros's distorted "Open Society" doctrine.  Soros established the OSUN to guarantee that radical socialist political activism endures and spreads after he's gone. Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld, the Founder and President of the New York-based American Center for Democracy and the Economic Warfare Institute, and author of multiple articles, academic and policy papers, and five books, including The Soros Agenda, joins me to discuss how this will allow for the Soros legacy of destruction of liberty to continue long after he is gone.Charles GoyetteEmpire of Lies: Fragments from the Memory HoleDr. Rachel EhrenfeldThe Soros AgendaBecome a supporter of Tapp into the Truth: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/tapp-into-the-truth--556114/support Tapp into the Truth on Rumble. Nitrous oxide or laughing gas as been used as a recreational and medical drug since the late 1700s. Dentists often use it as an anaesthetic. It's been linked to hippie, festival and rave culture for decades. And in the last few years, American rappers like Kanye West, Young Thug and Gunna have been open about using it. You might have seen the little metal cannisters, that people use to dispense the drug, littering the streets. But now, manufacturers of nitrous oxide are producing bigger cannisters with different flavours and bright packaging and in the US, they are being stocked in smoke and vape shops. Experts say this is contributing to a rise in the drug's misuse. Using nitrous oxide can have harmful effects. Inhalation of nitrous oxide can lead to hypoxia, where the brain does not get enough oxygen. This can result in death. Regular inhalation can also lead to a Vitamin B12 deficiency which can cause nerve damage, degradation of the spinal column and even paralysis. The number of deaths attributed to nitrous oxide poisonings rose by more than 110% between 2019 and 2023, according to the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention. In this episode BBC journalist Eve Webster explains how the use of nitrous oxide has changed recently, especially in the US. We hear about the risks of using it and where bans are in place. The Journey Beyond Death – Part 11 opens our seven-part Near Death Experiences series with a powerful collection of firsthand journeys beyond the veil. These stories are not hearsay — they come from individuals who were clinically dead, crossed into another realm, and returned to transform the way we understand life, death, and what lies beyond. Leading NDE researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long, who has documented over 4,000 near-death experiences, shares stunning evidence that consciousness survives death. His research challenges the limitations of mainstream science and reveals consistent themes: overwhelming love, divine light, and a reality more vivid than this world. He recounts cases including a woman born blind who "saw" during her NDE, providing undeniable proof that our perception transcends the physical body. NDE survivor Peter Anthony, known as "The Accidental Prophet," describes traveling through a tunnel of rotating mathematical codes and faces from past lives, gaining profound downloads of universal knowledge. Bev Brodsky recounts meeting an angelic guide and merging with an all-knowing light — realizing that all souls are connected, and that love is the foundation of all existence. Finally, Betty J. Eadie, celebrated author of Embraced by the Light, shares her extraordinary encounter with Jesus and the heavenly realms. She describes a soul journey filled with infinite love, deep remembrance, and sacred revelations about why we incarnate on Earth. Betty's testimony stands as one of the most detailed and comforting maps of the afterlife ever shared, offering hope and clarity to anyone seeking to understand what truly happens after death. This episode challenges conventional thinking and invites listeners to step beyond fear — to embrace the reality that death is not an end, but a magnificent homecoming to unconditional love. ----------------------------- Featuring in order of appearance 01:00 – NDE Leading Researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long 28:06 - NDE Survivor Peter Anthony 39:27 – NDE Survivor Bev Brodsky 45:07 – NDE Survivor Betty Eadie ----------------------------- Dr. Jeffrey Long – Radiation Oncologist & NDE Researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long is a radiation oncologist and a leading authority on near-death experiences (NDEs). (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Mexican Baptists displaced again Do you remember the story about a group of 151 Christians, including over seventy children and babies, from the Great Commission Baptist Church in southern Mexico's Hidalgo state? They had been forced out of their villages in April 2024 because of their religious beliefs. Then, they were later permitted to return home. Well, on November 21st the Baptists have been displaced again because local authorities reneged on an agreement allowing them to move back into their homes, reports Church in Chains. Village authorities had forced the Baptists out of the neighboring villages by cutting off electricity and water, vandalizing their church building, and blocking access to some of their homes. The group lived in very difficult circumstances until state and municipal officials brokered an agreement in September between village authorities and the Baptists, allowing them to return home. Electricity and water were reconnected, they were promised state aid if needed, and village authorities agreed to uphold freedom of religion or belief for all. Sadly, village authorities reneged on the agreement. The Baptists are living in tents while they wait to receive government aid. I was speaking and texting with fellow attendees of the call, and we were amazed by how self congratulatory the tone was. The call was about 20-30 minutes. “I don't recall anyone taking responsibility for the fact that we spent about $2 billion across the super PAC and the campaign, and came up so significantly short.  We lost seven swing states.” When asked to provide more detail on the self-congratulatory tone, Li said this. LI: “They praised Harris as a visionary leader. I believe at one moment during the call she was talking about her Thanksgiving recipe. I think I was stunned to hear that, given just the extent and brutality of the loss, and the fact that DNC staffers, at least two-thirds, have been fired summarily. And a lot of them are at a loss as to what to do. “I'm just frankly stunned that there was no sort of postmortem or an analysis of how we can do better, what sort of lessons were learned. It was really just patting each other on the back, congratulating each other on, I'm not sure what, and saying we'll see you for Christmas.” 2024 presidential news coverage most tilted to Democrat nominee ever The 2024 presidential campaign made history in at least one humiliating respect: Broadcast evening news coverage of the candidates was the most wildly imbalanced in history.  It favored Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris over former Republican President Donald Trump by the greatest margin ever recorded, reports NewsBusters.org. The final Media Research Center study, released on October 28th, showed evaluative coverage of Harris — excluding “horse race” assessments — on ABC, CBS and NBC was 78% positive vs. 22% negative. For Trump, those numbers were flipped: just 15% positive press vs. 85% negative coverage. Subtracting Trump's positive press from Harris's positive press, the advantage to the Democratic nominee was 63 points, the greatest in the modern media age. Kay Jewelers fires Christian associate over affirmation of Biblical sexuality Mika Cohen was fired from her position as Assistant Manager for Kay Jewelers in Fairlawn, Ohio, for sharing her Christian beliefs with a co-worker after repeatedly being asked to do so, reports the American Center for Law and Justice which is representing the Christian. While working at Kay Jewelers in June 2023, Ms. Cohen's co-worker repeatedly pressed her to articulate her view on homosexual Pride Month.  While Cohen initially chose not to answer the pointed question, she finally shared her opinion in the employee lunch room, affirming  God's definition of marriage and sexuality.   Proverbs 28:1 says, “The righteous are as bold as a lion.” Despite the fact that there was no quarrel or hostility, Cohen was shocked a few weeks later when an HR investigator at Kay Jewelers informed her that allegations regarding inappropriate discussions of religion at work had been filed against her. Later, a Kay Jewelers manager told Cohen that she had been fired for “talking about God at work.”  She was asked to pack up her things and leave. Christian talk show host Todd Starnes said, “It certainly appears as though Cohen is the victim of a setup by a pro-LGBT staffer. To make matters even worse, it appears as though Kay Jewelers is anti-Christian. Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but Kay Jewelers is certainly no friend to Christians.” Kirk Cameron reinvents kids' TV with Biblical values And finally, Kirk Cameron and Brave Books have launched a new venture into children's entertainment, a show the "Growing Pains" actor hopes becomes a significant, Bible-based player in the battle for children's hearts and minds, reports The Christian Post. Cameron hopes the new series called "Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk"  will fill a critical void in children's programming as it blends moral lessons with family-friendly adventures. The series will be available to stream for free on Brave Books' YouTube channel in early 2025. The "Left Behind" star said that he's heard repeatedly from parents that they are "tired of all the indoctrination and the subverting of good, wholesome family values we're seeing from Disney and Nickelodeon." Cameron added, "We want to be one of the tools in their toolbox to help reinforce the lessons that they're already teaching at home, lessons about forgiveness, about the value of all life, pre-born life, disabled life and elderly life. We want to teach kids about courage, about the importance of family and teamwork, and facing your fears." The series follows a puppet named Iggy, a green Iguana, and his mentor, Mr. Kirk (played by Cameron), on adventures that teach Biblical values through engaging storytelling. With a production team featuring veterans from "VeggieTales" and "The Muppets," along with former Disney star Leigh-Allyn Baker, the show aims to rival the quality of mainstream entertainment while offering a distinctly Christian-based perspective. Luke 18:16 says, “Let the children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, December 2nd, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. In this episode, Eric sits down with pioneering video artist, performing artist and painter Anthony Ramos. They discuss his background - being raised in Providence, Rhode Island and tracing his ancestor's journey to America from Cape Verde. How he discovered his love for making art at a young age and how his mother and father encouraged his interests. How he cultivated his artistic abilities. How he began his studies as a Political Science Major… to converting to art — studying painting at Southern Illinois University, where he was a graduate assistant to Allan Kaprow and eventually received an M.F.A. from CalArts. Having a video studio in New York. A conscientious objector of the Vietnam war… being jailed for draft evasion… and how all of these experiences have shaped his life. The artists that have inspired him and the many exciting adventures he has had - while traveling widely in Europe, Africa, China and the Middle East during the 1970s and 1980s. Documenting the end of Portugal's colonial rule in Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau. They discuss how his work has evolved through the years… being known as “The Grandfather Video" — to his passion for painting which is now his primary medium. Why he left the United States to now — living in the South of France and the exciting projects he has in store..! Guest Bio: Performance and media artist Anthony Ramos was among the earliest video artists to use the medium as a tool for mass media critiques and cultural documentation, and to examine media presentations of "truth." In his powerful but rarely seen video works of the 1970s, Ramos sought to combine art and activism, giving agency to marginalized individuals and communities. In his earliest black-and-white video pieces, Ramos engaged in forceful, direct performances for the camera, often using physical endurance and actions to confront political issues.Ramos has traveled widely in Europe, Africa, China and the Middle East. He videotaped the end of Portugal's colonial rule of Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau, Teheran during the 1980 hostage crisis, and Beijing just prior to the Tiananmen Square massacre. Ramos produced a number of video works that critique the media through deconstruction and appropriation, and explore the relation of mass cultural imagery, African-American identity, and the politics of race in America. In the late 1980s he turned to painting as his primary medium.Ramos was born in 1944 in Providence, Rhode Island. He received an M.F.A. from the California Institute of the Arts, where he was assistant to Allan Kaprow. Among his awards are a National Endowment for the Arts Visual Arts Fellowship and a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship. In the 1970s Ramos was a video consultant for the United Nations and the National Council of Churches. In the 1980s, he lived in Paris where he was a Professor at the American Center, and oversaw the television cabling of ten blocks of Paris for the first time. He has also taught at Rhode Island School of Design, New York University, and the University of California at San Diego. Ramos lives in Eyguieres, France. For more on Eric's Perspective, visit www.ericsperspective.com#ERICSPERSPECTIVE #AFRICANAMERICAN #ARTSUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/2vVJkDnConnect with us ONLINE: Visit Eric's Perspective website: https://bit.ly/2ZQ41x1Facebook: https://bit.ly/3jq5fXPInstagram: https://bit.ly/39jFZxGX: https://bit.ly/2OMTikTok: https://bit.ly/4cv8zfg

Character, Policy, and Christian Principles for Voting, with David French

When it comes to voting, how should we balance character and policy? “If I'm voting for a politician,” journalist David French suggests, “I have a test. One is: Do they have the character necessary for the job? And the higher the position they're seeking, the more character that is necessary. And number two: Do they broadly agree with me on the most important policies?” In this episode, Mark Labberton welcomes journalist David French (opinion columnist for the New York Times; formerly The Atlantic, The Dispatch, and National Review) for a discussion of character, policy, and principles for faithful, virtuous engagement in polarized American politics. French's commitment to Christian faith, moral character, and reasoned policy has emerged from his experience as a former commercial lawyer, military lawyer, and former president of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression. A political conservative, French has throughout his career been an advocate for First Amendment rights, pro-life individuals and organizations, and the ideals of democracy. He describes himself as “an evangelical conservative who believes strongly in a classical liberal, pluralistic vision of American democracy.” Together, Mark and David discuss his Christian upbringing; his personal partisan commitments; the importance of character in party politics; the importance of nuanced and reasoned policy; why he's voting for Kamala Harris in order to save conservative politics; two Bible verses for this election season; how to respond to our culture of fear; and how to secure a more courageous, loving, and humble politics. About David French David French is an opinion columnist for the New York Times, and previously wrote for The Atlantic, The Dispatch, and National Review. He is a New York Times bestselling author of Divided We Fall: America's Secession Threat and How to Restore Our Nation. He describes himself as “an evangelical conservative who believes strongly in a classical liberal, pluralistic vision of American democracy.” He is a graduate of Harvard Law School, the past president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, and a former lecturer at Cornell Law School. He has served as a senior counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice and the Alliance Defending Freedom. David is a former major in the United States Army Reserve. In 2007, he deployed to Iraq, serving in Diyala Province as Squadron Judge Advocate for the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Show Notes Divided We Fall: America's Secession Threat and How to Restore Our Nation “I was a First Amendment litigator with a writing hobby.” Background in the Acapella Churches of Christ: a Restoration Movement from the early-19th century “It turned into something kind of separatist, sectarian, and ferociously legalistic.” “I grew up with a real grounding. grounding and reading the Bible, which actually, ironically enough, was the seed of me leaving the church of Christ.” “I was a Cold War conservative and a conservative Christian. And they were related, but not, but they weren't inextricably tied together. So for me, my, you know, ideology was downstream of my faith, but I didn't think that my ideology was the inevitable result of my faith.” Pro-Life Activism Representing pro-life individuals Existential clash: the confrontation between the Soviet Union and the United States Why David French is voting for Kamala Harris in order to save conservative politics “My party loyalty has always been related to two things. One is the ideology of the party and the other one is the character of the party. And the party leaders and the people that I vote for, I've always had a character test and an ideological test.” Bad character and bad policy—”why would I be attached to that? There's no claim on my loyalty there.” The importance of character “If the conservative perspective that I have wants to have any purchase in American politics, MAGA has to lose. Donald Trump has to lose.” Federalism: a practical understanding that smaller government is better. Republican Party increasingly embracing a pro-choice platform “If you're going to have a healthy two party system, the distinctions should be around good people of high character approaching policy solutions from different perspectives.” “One of these parties has sort of left the norms of American. political engagement.” “I voted for Mitt Romney more than Mitt Romney's probably voted for Mitt Romney.” “If I'm voting for a politician, I have a test. One is: Do they have the character necessary for the job? And the higher the position they're seeking, the more character that is necessary. And number two: Do they broadly agree with me on the most important policies?” “I have very little patience for those people who say I'm somehow not a Christian for voting for a pro-choice candidate. When they're voting for a pro-choice candidate who's been adjudicated a sex abuser, that is difficult for me to discern how that is a more Christian stance.” Clear, independent thinker Logical reasoning and courageous statements A living faith by which we think through ideas “There's a fine line between stubbornness and courage.” “In these last 10 years, I've really had to ask myself: Who are you really?” David French's parents' example of faith and virtue Learning from World War I and World War II history “Some of the worst things that have happened in American history have happened because people didn't want to do hard things.” “I think the sanctification process, though, is difficult. It means that you're being exposed to constantly your own sin is being exposed to yourself.” Mark asks: “What do you want Christian people, thoughtful, committed, curious, uncertain, tenuous Christian people to, to do between now and the election?” 2 Timothy 1:7—“God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of sound mind.” Micah 6:8—”What does the Lord require of you, O man? What is good? To act justly, to love kindness, and to walk humbly before the Lord your God.” Ideological diversity: be curious, seek disagreement “If you just show affection for people and curiosity towards their views, anger tends to drain out of a room.” “College students are full of anxiety about conflict.” “Fear not.” The A Team—arming up for battle “And they find out that a lot of these folks that they were taught were going to be their enemies are actually just super kind, normal folks.” “They're equipping them to fight, not to love their neighbor, fight their neighbor, not love their neighbor.” Mark asks: “What handles would you give people in living in a fear dominated moment in American history?” “In receiving anger and fear, do not try to build up a bulletproof thick skin. … Because you know what that does? It often walls you off from legitimate criticism.” Thick skin, soft heart. “An enormous amount of fear is rooted in a sense—a feeling—of non-belonging and loneliness. Isolation and loneliness.” “People who are more isolated and alone are drawn to these authoritarian movements.” “Ease the loneliness, build the connection. … Lean into relationship and presence.” “It was just stunning to me that, against all evidence of scripture, Christians were consigning people to eternal damnation over a vote in a presidential election.” Miles Law: “Where we stand is based on where we sit.” Kindness, humility, not living a fear-based angry life “If you're in a community where the fruit of the spirit dominate, you can withstand a lot of disagreement.” Production Credits Conversing is produced and distributed in partnership with Comment Magazine and Fuller Seminary.

Episode 278: Stop trying to "Reform" Schools, Start Fresh with New Ways to Teach Our Kids

Public K12 education in the United States has become the largest government-controlled monopoly in the world, (other than the CCP controlled monopolies in China), spending nearing $1 trillion per year.  And for all the money spent, it's been a failure. In international tests, American eighth graders score 9th in reading, 16th in science, and 34th in math.  With few other options granted other than attending their residentially assigned district public school most Americans cannot conceive that there are other alternatives to educate their children. School reform efforts are ferociously resisted by the education monopoly.  It's not just teachers unions and school boards. It's the curriculum developers, the textbook publishers, consultants, the teachers colleges. The list goes on and on. Schools and school administration are also the largest source of patronage for big city, mayors, and governors in every state. They are not going to give up control of this.  But the dynamics may be changing.  What happened during COVID, and the prolonged school closures, was a great parent awakening.  Parents had a front row seat into their child's classroom and they were able to see what was being taught as well as what wasn't being taught. They didn't like what they saw, and now millions are beginning to explore and create other ways to educate their kids. The person to talk with about this movement is Dr. Keri D. Ingraham Director of the Discovery Institute's American Center for Transforming Education.  She is also a Senior Fellow at Independent Women's Forum. Here is what we agree on.  We need to create new types of schools from the ground up. There are new, more effective ways to teach our kids. Let the old institutions atrophy and die out. Some Key Takeaways: The fastest, most effective way to reform K12 public education is to allow families to exit the system. 03:24 Public school education's roots are in the progressive era in the 19th Century. 6:29 On the world stage US students are not competitive. 09:07 Critical race theory is embedded in the curriculum 10:09 Progressive bias dominates textbook publishing, college schools of education, and teacher certifications 12:05 The bar is low to enter teacher college programs. It's typically the easiest field to go into within the university. 15:50 Teacher college curriculums ignore subject matter expertise. 16:23 Don Graham, former publisher of the Washington Post and a history major at Harvard, couldn't teach in DC public schools because he didn't have a teaching certificate. 18:12  Is there any examples of a government monopoly or any big bureaucracy that has successfully reformed itself? 20:46 Big cities' schools are among their mayor's largest form of patronage. 12;10 When schools say “We're underfunded. We need more money.” It means the want to hire more non-teaching administrative staff. 24:19 Great books classical education has exploded. 28:26 Do we really need to have kids go to school and sit there for eight hours a day? 29:46 What do you do about the inner city kids that don't have parents that are that involved? 35:29 How do we change the teacher certification rules? 38:42 From the beginning of the progressive era over a hundred years ago, schools were designed to get kids off the streets and under the control of what they then called the “education trust” 40:44 In 1919, the “education trust” advocated taking children from the family into the hands of the custody of “community experts.” 41:37 California's Gavin Newsom recently signed a law saying that schools are not required to tell a parent of their child's gender ideology unless that child gives permission. 42:51 In 1934, the president of the National Education Association, wrote, “we expect to accomplish by education what dictators in Europe are seeking to do by compulsion and force.” 46:02 We're not going to be able to reform the existing public government owned K12 schools. What we can do is to create effective alternatives that are better, cheaper, more humane, and teach good values. And if we create these alternatives, this ends the K12 monopoly. 48:22

It's Tuesday, June 4th, A.D. 2024,. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson What did Malaysian government do with Pastor Raymond Koh? The American Center for Law and Justice has issued a petition on the social media site X demanding answers from the Malaysian government on Pastor Raymond Koh's whereabouts. The petition has almost 30,000 signatures.   The petition states that “Pastor Raymond Koh has been missing for [seven] years in Malaysia [and] the Malaysian government refuses to provide answers.”  Koh ran a non-profit group working with HIV/AIDS patients, people with an addiction, and other individuals in need of help.  75-year-old pro-lifer given 2-year prison sentence Paulette Harlow is 75 years old and she is the ninth and final pro-life advocate to be sentenced for violating the Freedom of Access to Abortion Clinics Entrances Act at the Washington Surgi-Clinic in 2020.   A grandmother, and mother of six -- including four adopted children, Harlow received a 24-month sentence on May 31st from Judge Colleen Kotelly.  However, in the final analysis, God will be the Judge. Proverbs 18:5 reminds us that “It is not good to show partiality to the wicked or to overthrow the righteous in judgment.” Mexico's new pro-abortion, pro-homosexual secular president Mexico has elected its first female president. Claudia Sheinbaum won the election with 59% of the vote. Raised as a secular Jew, Sheinbaum is outspoken about her pro-abortion and pro-homosexual positions.  Mexico's Supreme Court legalized abortion last September. Since 1990, over 60 nations have liberalized their abortion laws. Only the United States, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Poland have slowed the legalization of abortion in recent years. Sheinbaum's election makes for the 54th election of a female head of state over the last 10 years. There were nine female heads of state elected during the 1980s, and five in the 1970s.  Abortion rates are up worldwide Abortion rates are up in the U.S. and other nations around the world.    Scotland, for, example reports the number of abortions up 53% over the last decade. This is largely due to the increase access to the Kill Pill program. Abortions by the abortion pill have increased from 9,600 per year to 17,900 per year over the last decade. And home-based abortions in Scotland have doubled from 5,100 to 10,500 per year since 2020. Meanwhile, surgical abortions have decreased from 2,300 to 350 per year over the last decade. Let us all remember that “there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13) India's national elections unlikely to help Christians India is conducting national elections today. As they face rising persecution at the hands of fundamentalist Hindus, India's Christians throughout the country are hoping for some respite or help from the national government.  However, current polls point to another win for the Bharatiya Janata Party. One million African Methodists walk away from denomination The Côte d'Ivoire Conference of the United Methodists, based in West Africa, has voted to leave the United Methodist Church — after the U.S.-based denomination voted to approve the ordination of pastors who live out sinful, homosexual lifestyles. The “Ivory Coast” Methodists make up about one million members, one of the largest regional church bodies in the world. Korean pastors eager to sever ties with U.S. Methodists Also, an assembly of Korean Methodist pastors have met in mid-May to discuss a severance of relationships with the U.S. United Methodist Church.  The Korean General Assembly of Methodist Churches has already announced plans to ”solidify our traditional position and Bible-centered faith for its own ministry and mission direction.” In 3 days, Americans gave $200 million to Trump's campaign Americans responded to former President Donald Trump's guilty verdict with massive fund raising for the Trump for President campaign. Eric Trump, his son, told Fox News Sunday, the campaign has raised $200 million within three days, $70 million of which came from small donors. Listen. ERIC TRUMP: “They're coming out of the woodwork and they want to support a guy that they just believe is getting bamboozled by a system. We saw it with Impeachment One. We saw it with Impeachment Two. “We see it where they weaponized every liberal [District Attorney] and [Attorney General] across the country with one intent: to take him down, to slander him, to ruin his reputation, to try and divide his family, to try and bankrupt him, to throw him in jail. And America sees through it. They know exactly what's going on.” Meanwhile, by comparison, the Biden campaign has reportedly raised $104 million since the beginning of the year. Thailand officials eager to pass homosexual faux-marriage bill Thailand's prime minister attended the Pride Festivities in celebration of sexual perversions over the weekend in Bangkok. Srettha Thavisin  pledged his government's support for the “homosexual faux-marriage” bill which was passed through the legislature by a vote of 400 to 10 back in March.   Sadly, Thailand legalized abortion in 2019, and extended the legalization of abortion to the 20th week of the child's life in 2022.   Plus, Thailand has long been known as the “global capital” of prostitution and the child sex trade. It's Thursday, May 16th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Rising persecution of Latin America Christians International Christian Concern reports that churches in Latin America are facing increasing levels of persecution.  Thousands of Christians face attacks for their faith in countries like Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, and Nicaragua. These attacks often come from communist regimes, drug cartels, and violent gangs. For example, Cuba passed a law last year, putting restrictions on religious expression that criticizes the government. Pastors who speak out for religious freedom in Nicaragua face arrest. And Christians in Mexico and Haiti are facing more oppression with the rise of the drug cartels as well as gang violence. British pro-lifers march against birthday abortions Yesterday, hundreds of pro-lifers rallied outside Parliament in London. Lawmakers are considering two pro-life amendments as well as two pro-abortion amendments. The latter two would allow abortion up to birth. Lynda Rose, head of Voice for Justice UK, said, “A nation that indiscriminately and without cause seeks to kill its unborn up to birth is destroying itself. … With our callous disregard of the right to life, the United Kingdom is rapidly becoming a kingdom of death. For the future wellbeing of all, these evil amendments must be defeated.” Pro-life protestors are imprisoned In the United States, judges are handing out prison sentences for pro-lifers targeted by the Biden administration.  On Tuesday, a federal judge sentenced Lauren Handy to nearly five years in prison for peacefully blocking access to an abortion mill. Yesterday, the judge sentenced Jonathan Darnel to nearly three years in prison for his participation. A total of five activists have faced trial for the 2020 blockade in Washington, D.C. The pro-lifers' defendants are fighting back. Steve Crampton with the Thomas More Society said, “We eagerly look forward to appealing for [their] freedom, so that the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act can never again be weaponized by the Department of Justice against its ideological opponents.” Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.” George teachers banned students from sharing Bible verses Public school teachers in Georgia banned students from sharing Bible verses. Two nine-year-old students were planning on sharing Easter eggs that contained the verses earlier this year. In response to the ban, the American Center for Law and Justice stepped in to defend the students. The Christian legal group reports they have now achieved victory for the students. They said, “The school has agreed to recognize our clients' constitutional rights to distribute religious materials, such as Easter eggs, candy canes, and anything else – even Bible verses.” Trump and Biden to debate on Thursday, June 27th President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are set to debate each other ahead of the presidential election this year. Both agreed to a debate invitation from CNN for Thursday, June 27. They also agreed to an invitation from ABC for September 10th. If Biden and Trump follow through on this debate in June, it will be the earliest debate between general election candidates on record. Inflation down slightly Inflation cooled down slightly last month. Consumer prices rose 0.3% percent from March to April, down from 0.4% the previous month. Year-over-year, inflation fell from 3.5% to 3.4% last month, the first decline this year. Danielle Hale, chief economist at Realtor.com, said, “The fight against inflation is not yet over, but the worsening trend observed in the first quarter of 2024 may have ended.” Drug overdose deaths dropped 3% Preliminary data suggests that drug overdose deaths in the U.S. fell for the first time in five years in 2023. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released the data yesterday.  Nearly 108,000 people died from drug overdoses last year. That's down about 3,500 deaths from 2022.  The 3% drop follows a 30% increase in overdose deaths at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Massive solar flare And finally, the sun produced a massive solar flare on Tuesday.  It's the largest flare in the current 11-year solar cycle and the largest since 2005. This follows a week of significant solar flare activity which made the northern lights visible to people further south than usual.  Such geomagnetic storms can even cause disruptions to power and communication systems on Earth. Thankfully, the latest flare emitted from a part of the sun facing away from our planet. Psalm 8:3-4 asks, “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Thursday, May 16th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.
