Welcome back! We're delighted to launch season two with our most star-studded offering to date. After a brief hello from Mark, guest host Baseball Robbie presides over a veritable parade of comics during this very special episode recorded during the Savage Henry Comedy Festival. Featuring friends of Savage Henry including Alec Cole, Dave Eubanks, Louis D. Michael, and Gabby Jesus, and a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance by friend of the show Lauren Brenner.
It's a very special week at Savage Henry. Author, chef, activist and all-around fantastic human Cheri Sicard joins Mark and Jason at the bar. From the halls of justice to the dinner table, the gang touches on all things cannabis and Mark and Jason actually learn some things from the brilliant visiting luminary. Follow Cheri @cannabischeri and find her books and classes at Cannademy.com and Cannabischeri.com.
A mostly jolly episode, with a few dark turns (especially for any mouse listeners we may have) as Savage Henry welcome's Mark back from a long voyage. Hall-of-Famer and once and future host Jason Merritt, and friend of the show Shane Jensen fill out the panel as Humboldt comedian Scott Hoyle makes his first appearance on the podcast.
This week, two jewels in the Savage Henry crown, Hall-of-Famer and record-setting three-time guest Jessica Grant, and rising star and all-around excellent young person Shane Jensen join Mark for a deep-dive on the Millenial-GenZ generation gap. Creecraw everyone.
Granted the last two years have arguably been the least funny of any of our lives, but through it all the comedy nerds at Eureka's Savage Henry Comedy Club managed to keep their venue open for those brave enough to seek out the levity they were peddling. For the past half-decade or so Josh Barnes has honed his craft on Savage Henry's stage among others. On today's episode he shares what it was like to try to hold together the scene he and his fellow yuk-slingers hold so dear.

Our interview this week is with the beautiful and amazing Tiffany Greysen. I've had the priviledge of bringing her to Bend, and people still talk about how absolutely phenomenal she was. Tiffany is a writer for Savage Henry and Exotic Magazine. She is a stand up comedian out of Portland, Oregon. You can find her on Instagram and Twitter. https://www.instagram.com/tiffanygreysen/ https://twitter.com/Tiffanygreysen We have a great conversation that veers into a topic of personal safety. While Tiffany and I talk about this topic from a CIS, White, Het, Fem perspective this is important for everyone. Here's the the thing. If you are feeling uncomfortable at show, if you are feeling in danger, you need to tell your show runner. If your show runner doesn't care, never work with that show runner again. Fuck 'em. -- Thank you again to Tiffany for sitting down with me for the New Year New Jokes writing seminar this year. While I'm thanking people, also thank you to Beers and Business Cards and Craft Kitchen and Brewery for their support! Tiffany talked about writing every day. I know it's a slog. There are some days you just don't want to get behind the keyboard and try it. But, seriously, try it. So, my writing challenge for you today is all about refining. I want you to go through a piece you have written and see if you can punch it up with metaphors. Metaphoric comparisons like this are a great way to punch up your material. It's always work looking to find a chance. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/comedy-mom/message

“To sum that all up, you gotta get drunk. At least a little bit, because then you can be vulnerable and heartfelt and also a macho dumbass.” John Pagliassotti of Delta Dagger (AKA the nicest guy ever) comes on the show and we have a chat for the ages. We talk about his home studio setup in SLO, the difference between Savage Henry and Delta Dagger, LEGOS, the IV music scene, Simpsonswave and so much more. Of course, most importantly, John explains why he makes music. We also play the most intense game of Soundtrack to Your Life so far. Featured tracks: Daft Drunk and Count to Four.
NEW MUSIC ALERT!!! Lots of new tunes! Texas faves Polaroid Summer and Versecity (same lead singer) are both drillin' up new tunes and albums to feast our ears of delight on and awe! I swear his vocals just get better! Wow! Bringing up the rear, were droppin' new tunes from Uks and The Notionaries as well as diggin' deep into the basement cellar to get all "Made Up" for a Halloween party and pulling out some tracks that havnt been heard in a year or not been in rotation in many years (Savage Henry) The Heartland of the USA bares many crosses as the main providers of corn, oil, and many of our fave winter vacation hot spots! It also bares many disasters as we have seen far too many horror stories in the mid-west from a mixed bag of the nastiest kind of weather to sounding like "Trains" rumbling all across Oklahoma and Kansas. The Uk's have finally found their "Waxwings" as they landed in Missouri. Glad they could fly in for the party before we keep this road trip across the USA rollin'! "If You Want My Love" Arkansas, then you need to help the PRICECREW find their safe place in the music business they can call home. Houston has been in the "Eye of the Storm" more times than we can count yet Texas holds strong and in "The End" always triumphs! VERSECITY camp may have lost their studio and equipment and delayed their new cd but what they gained is so much more valuable. LIFE and a chance to record again with the lead (Walker) charging on as the new camp Polaroid Summer! The horror of Hurricane Harvey bringing his "Battle Ready" name and status brought out the "Monster" in Walker to push on with the guys and finally complete Versecity's new album. Westward we head to the warmer skies of Arizona for a little visit with Father Time and catch up on his "Fan Fiqtion" before we dredge on to the snowy mountaintops of Colorado and Utah to "get high" in the Rockies with our pals Savage Henry whom we "Cant Get Enough" of and there's certainly "No Sleep" for the wicked this Halloween with VoxEagle tagging along. While you're there be sure to take "Another Brick" from the wall while you're feeling "Comfortably Numb" with Savage Henry and their tribute band (WISH WE WERE FLOYD) making a rare appearance (Sat Nov 2, 2019) at The ARMORY in Brighton, CO...show starts at 8pm (then we gotta get going..lol) All good journeys have a time for ending as we approach the Great Plains of Wyoming "As We Ran" with the National Parks and through the Teeton National Forest! Montana is one of the last true rugged (old) western frontiers. It beckons back to a time of when things were simpler and not so robust as the rest of the world. Makes you feel like you're living a "1950's Life" with Jael Johnson. As we come to our final stop of the Heartland of "Merica" I have come to realize that 2 important additions to the Halshack were overlooked on our trip to hear the "Wonders of the West Coast". Brittany Bouchard said "I Will Be Yours" California when she made her BIG move from Florida to the golden shores of the west bringing her country pop vibe in tow. We make another trip back around to Oregon because Tyler Stenson was on a ride on his "Good Comet" when we came around to visit with his awesome glowing vocals that continue help keeping the Halshack on a righteous path and "Steady as I Go" on my journey to conquer the music world! Find the Halshack on all major music services or my website! Halshack.com Have a happy and safe Halloween folks! Be sure to download or stream (Ep 13-Lucky 13) and (Ep 13.5 -Hallowshack) for some cool holiday fun!!
My very very good friend and one of my biggest supporters since I started Miss Jacqui Pirl (it's like Girl but with a P) recently came into the Comic Talk Studios for a nice chat. She brought along with her a joke titled Fire In The Hole. The joke was recorded live at Savage Henry. This joke is crazy man! Sit back and hold on tight. After the joke we talk a little about it's origins and then we talk a little about Jaqui's story teller joke style and how it originated. Thanks so much for listening. Now sit back relax and enjoy the Comic Talk Pod Cast.

Episode 186: In honor of Mother's Day, today we're bringing you a story from one of our favorites, Denver comedian and writer Allison Rose. Born on a quiet farm in Kansas, Allison came into her own on the loud stages of Denver dive bars. She has been featured on the Denver edition of 50 First Jokes; Yuck Fest; and the High Plains, Red Clay, and Savage Henry comedy festivals. She co-hosts the Denver chapter of We Still Like You, a storytelling show where folks share their greatest shames, and a weekly showcase at Dean Ween's Honeypot Lounge. Allison's story was recorded on 17 October 2018 at Buntport Theater; the theme of the evening was "Guts." A very special thanks to PHIE, who provided the outro music for this episode. WELCOME TO THE FABULOUS SAVAGE HENRY!! Halshack (Shackstars series) SAVAGE HENRY- Mar 2019 (bonus show- music only) Hi again everyone..surprise!! Im back with another show for March. I know the end of VERBAL ACTIONS has you sweltering and drooling for more Savage Henry then you've come to the right place. Life may have forced your hand to look elsewhere for love and respect in your life. Life may be great for you and you may have found never-ending happiness. Whatever the case I hope life is kind to you and opens doors for your future should you feel that same passion as I to change your life and give it meaning, purpose and value. My journey started 20 years ago with a "little" but mighty band from Denver, Co. (ON SECOND THOUGHT) lead singer my buddy and friend Damon. I found love through the music of this wonderful beloved band from high in the rockies. They forever changed my life. A few years later the original act disbanded and the singer and current drummer at the time co-founded a newer tighter well produced and carefully skilled version of this band and together they formed the clandestine SAVAGE HENRY. Taken after the poetic and yet disturbed writings and teachings of Hunter S. Thompson (FEAR and LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS) Damon cautiously and painstakingly writes the most catchy hooky songs and Stu Miller blends his magical axe laden skills into a fun delve into deep provocative thought yet adds a layer of fun to their arrangements that just cant be found anywhere in today's music. This band was the ultimate kick-starter for me and my career. This act has allowed me to build a solid reputation to build my name and earn much respect along the way. Savage Henry and On second Thought will be forever immortalized here at the Halshack. One day when I become a record label then maybe the whole world can enjoy this band as I have for the past 20 years..... I put together a best of playlist from both of their cd releases "ALL IN" and "STEP LIVELY" (you will notice a subtle shift from ska to more rock with the 2nd album, still great!!)but did not include Alive and Kickin' from All In since it was just played at the end of Verbal Actions (Mar 2019). So as I look back at my life and reflect on my roots and looking at starting over again with new beginnings. If you folks want to know what makes the Halshack tick and what drove my passion for life, love and music. Then look no further cause this is absolutely the funnest good time rock/ska/pop influenced freakin' band you will ever hear!! Guaranteed or my name is not HALSHACK!! SIDE NOTE....song "MONKEY" from a ALL IN features MEGADEATH owned 7-string guitar (STU MILLER-guitarist) purchased this guitar from the axe man for MEGADEATH and featured only in the song MONKEY. COOL ASS SONG!! and what a great funky riff written by Stu. WELL DONE GUYS!! HATS OFF TO SAVAGE HENRY!! www.halshack.com
Saluton and Happy "Things That Are Done at This Time Of Year" to you! Estas mi, your host Tyson Saner, and welcome to the last epi of Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast, of 2018. What a year it has been…and that's at least partially because I took over hosting and main production duties during this year approximately 10 months ago. I hadn't really been thinking about how much time had actually elapsed because it, like everything else seems to just keep happening. It does seem to feel like less time than a year has passed because it has…that's pretty logical…beep boop… ANYWAY…It's a show chock full of content including clips from Chillpak Hollywood Hour, Just Say Words, 2DudeReview, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, The Podcast Brothers and Thought Spiral. In addition, we have a double dose of raging moderate Will Durst's Burst O' Durst. (Incidentally, if you live in or are visiting the San Francisco Bay Area, Durst is ring master for the annual Big Fat Year End Kiss Off Show, a comedy revue of holiday proportions that plays in a different venue around the area starting on Wednesday, December 26. Click over to http://WillDurst.com for details…) We've also got a very "This Time Of Year-y" Henderson's Pants ad from waaaaay back in 2012 (I think) and, of course, a reading from our most recent sponsor, TrumPoetry.com. SIDEBAR Listeners of past episodes of Succotash might remember the soundcasts Trevor Has Friends and Just Joshin' being featured in episodes 172 and 177, respectively. These are both comedy soundcasts from over at Savage Henry Magazine , a humor magazine produced locally here in Humboldt County. It's a free publication that has been published with regularity since it was first published in 2010. It was founded by Chris Durant, Sarah Godlin, Monica Durant, and Josh Duke. I follow the magazine on Instagram at @savagehenrymagazine and I came across this post from December 16th, 2018: "Monica, (@moneycuz) co-founder of the magazine and the glue that has kept it all together for all these years, is sick. She can use your help if you're in position to do so. She's dealing with liver failure and is facing a transplant. Links to donation sites in comments. Thank you for being a fan of Savage Henry and your support." It's a modest goal of $10K and if you're wondering about specifics, on the page I just specified there was an update made on December 16th, 2018 which reads: "Wow everyone. I'm am so relieved by the outpouring of help in so many forms. This is a crazy time. A major surgery, a month or more of intensive therapy and monitoring, a year till projected recovery, and a lifetime of medications are daunting goals and having some weight lifted financially is a HUGE COMFORT!!! Thank you." As of December 17th, 2018 they are at 33% of their goal. If you're inspired to help this awesome fan of many forms of comedic expression, you can do so through this PayPal account: https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/8aqlSi5TRm CLIPS Chillpak Hollywood Hour This soundcast features two members of "soundcast royalty" (as dubbed by Succotash executive producer Marc Hershon), namely Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness. They've been doing the show for more than 11 years, week in and week out, engaging in thought-provoking, insightful, and irreverent cultural conversation. Our clip is from recent Epi603, where the gents discuss the death and life of U.S. President George H.W. Bush, the forthcoming film Vice, the live variety stage show Phil produced on his 50th birthday, Dean's efforts to pack up his L.A. abode and his recent Michigan adventures. There's also a plug for their dark comedy The Lady Killers. P.S. I've seen "The Lady Killers" and it is quite good. We're working on having Dean and Phil on as guests to talk more about The Lady Killers on an upcoming edition of Succotash Chats! Thought Spiral Comedians Andy Kindler (Bob's Burgers, Maron, and a past Succotash guest) and J. Elvis Weinstein (MST3K, Freaks & Geeks) convene weekly to solve the problems of the world but usually end up talking about comedy and various forms of anxiety. Every episode so far has been called "Test Episode Number Something". Our clip hails from their Epi64, a live show from the Improv Lab in Los Angeles, where Andy muses on the pros and cons of singing in public and which musicals he has enjoyed. Sidenote: The documentary: I Need You To Kill, features comedians Pete Lee, Chad Daniels, and Tom Segura on a comedy tour of China. It turns out that there's a growing comedy scene over there and it's fascinating to see it happening. The documentary was directed by none other than the aforementioned J. Elvis Weinstein. It's currently streaming on Amazon Prime and, assuming you are a fan of comedy and/or documentaries about comedians or just documentaries in general…you could do a lot worse than to check this one out. The Podcast BrothersFlaw700 and Fresco are two real life brothers who are similar (because they're both Gemini's) but also have different view points. The authentic and entertaining sibling dynamic gets switched up when Kailah King is there, She offers a unique female's perspective. They discuss mainstream hip hop events and relay those events into engaging topics of discussion. This clip is from "Love Is Free", their Epi110 from this past November, and is part of their segment called "Fresh or Fiasco". Just Say WordsThe Just Say Words soundcast covers everything from social Issues, pop culture, and race, to tech, movies, and much more. Hosted by Jae, in Epi239 he talks about voting and has a bunch of random ramblings filled with jokes and much more. Our clip features him detailing how he dealt with his Netflix account being hacked. 2DudeReview The 2DudeReview is a weekly podcast, hosted by Brian Bradley and Chad Hamilton, features Karina Dolehide, and is based on the book, "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die." Brian and Chad are longtime friends and lifelong movie geeks who love to talk, at length, about their favorite films. "Each week we watch a movie from the '1001 Movies' list, research the film, then discuss and rate the movie from our perspectives. We pride ourselves on bringing quality content and maybe even a laugh or two in the process." IN November, they talked at length about the movie Jurassic Park — what the hell genre is it, science versus religion versus capitalism, and Chad has the hiccups. Our clip catch the hiccup fit. Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan O'Brien realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him. Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that. He's joined on this quest by longtime trusty assistant Sona Movsesian and producer Matt Gourley (Superego, James Bonding.) His very first guest was Will Ferrell. In our clip from that episode 1, Will recounts a long-running "life bit" that involved a costume from a "Smokey and the Bandit" sketch on SNL. • • • And just like that, the last Succotash show of 2018 is drawing to a close. What a year it has been. I've spent 10 months of it putting together episodes of this show and eight of those 10 months preparing to welcome my wife and I's first child into this world VERY early in 2019. Also, the 16th of this month was my wife and I's 15th wedding anniversary. For those of you who pay attention to this sort of thing, 15 years is the "Crystal" anniversary. Whaddya want from me, I'm full of tidbits…somewhat like an actual Succotash… Anyway, 2018 has been the most unique year of my life so far. I have a feeling 2019 is going to top everything on the uniqueness scale...if there is such a thing. On January 1st I have a single dropping. It's a collaboration with Korey Epps who appeared in the Chats episode of Succotash #175. He has an album coming out in early 2019 called "Luv & Liquor" and our collaboration is part of it. It's called "Hope" and it will be available on New Years Day, on Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Deezer, Tidal, Napster and Youtube.…so that's happening too. In closing, thank you to my wife and family for being wonderful and supportive of me all these years. Thank you to Korey Epps for believing in my musical ability enough to collaborate on a music project with me. Thank you to Executive Producer Marc Hershon for keeping the show running for all those years and then deciding that when he was ready to pass the torch to someone that I was the man for the job. Thank you to Will Durst for contributing the very best in Moderate Political Comedy…that's what it's called, isn't it? Thank you to Bill Heywatt for announcing the show and thank you Joe Paulino for making sure Mr. Heywatt is always captured at his best. Thank you Scott Carvey for the Succotash theme music you are hearing in the background. And, of course, thank YOU the listener …for listening…and for sharing us with others for that is what we mean when we gently implore you to please pass the Succotash! — Tyson Saner

Savage Henry in the building! Zeke Herrera and Kevin Klatman sit down with me and we Google so many interesting things including the weight of ants, and some stuff about platypuses. Then Chris Durant comes in to hype me up about stomping 30 animals!
Zeke Hererra (High Plains Comedy Festival, Savage Henry, Crom) got kicked off of Instagram for a picture that included tasteful partial nudity (no nips), but we'll get into that later. Zeke is fresh off his first therapy appointment as an adult. This was recorded on a Thursday. His appointment was three days earlier. Zeke talks about his past and somewhat problematic experience with therapy as a child. He also shares the story of losing his virginity while working for the California Conservation Corps. At some point he and James get into the complexities of good, evil, and human nature. Zeke does not believe people are good and evil but rather that there are good and evil actions. And finally, Zeke dishes on a concerning issue regarding his Facebook profile and privacy. Losing It: The Sex and Sanity Podcast is recorded at Sexpot Comedy Studio in beautiful Denver, Colorado. Yes, it is I. Marc Hershon, your host and Henry Miller Aeron Desk Chair for Epi133 of Succotash, the Comedy Podcast Podcast. And if you’re having trouble recognizing the voice, that’s because it’s been about THREE damn weeks since I last dropped an installment. Sorry about that. I’ll keep striving to get better about it. I’d be lying if didn’t say a few clicks on the old Donate button up at our homesite, http://SuccotashShow.com, wouldn’t help motivate me. Of if someone besides Henderson’s Pants wanted to help sponsor that show, that would be a bit of all right as well. NEW PODCAST ALERT! I wanted to let listeners who might be in range of Los Angeles, California, on Saturday June 11th, that I will be moderating a very cool event — Dana Carvey’s very first podcast. His OWN podcast, that is, which he’ll be doing with his two sons, Dex, and Tom. You might recall they joined me back in early February for our very first LIVE Succotash show. And they liked the experience so much that the Carveys have decided to bust out their very own show. I don’t know what it’s to be called yet but I was flattered to be asked to be the moderator for the kickoff show on June 11th. And, who knows, maybe if I behave myself, maybe more after that. It’s going to be at the Comedy Lab next to the Improv in West Hollywood and that’s all I know. Not sure whether you can buy advance tickets or what. Best I can suggest until I know more is to keep checking in at http://hollywood.improv.com and click on the link to the calendar. GOT A SPAREMIN? Another thing I have started trying out is using a new app called SpareMin. It allows folks to call other folks back when they want to and with a five minute time limit. So I thought I might be a fun alternative to our Succotash Hotline because, rather than leaving a voicemail, you use the app to send me a request and when I have time to chat, I call you back. The app automatically records the call, which I can then play back right here on the show. So check it out. It’s called SpareMin and you can download it from the Apple app store and I think the version for Android phones is live now, too. WHAT ELSE YOU GOT? Okay. Enough about me. Let’s talk about what I’ve got for YOU. This is a Succotash Clips episode and I have to mainly thank our erstwhile Associate Producer, Tyson Saner, for supplying the bulk of the clips we have on tap for you this time around. We also have one that was submitted by a podcaster by using our upload link, at http://hightail.com/u/Succotash. And even I did a little work in the clip department…but not much. All in all, we’re featuring clips from Awesome Etiquette, Chillpak Hollywood Hour, The Late Show – Tonight’s Watch, Obsessed with Joseph Scrimshaw, Savage Henry, the Schmoozecast, Secret Skin, The Slant, and Wisecrackin’ with Winter. In addition to the clippage we’re featuring a double dose of our celebrated Burst O’ Durst segment with political comedian and social commentator Will Durst. I also have some exciting news about Mr. Durst: He going to be on Succotash! Not just in his usual short, 2-minutes Bursties of Dursties. Oh, no. Our very next installment of Succotash Chats will feature my face-to-face interview with Will that I held a couple of weeks ago in the green room at the storied Punchline Comedy Club in downtown San Francisco. Our own Mr. Saner has also supplied us with one of his amazing pieces of music made up of bits and clips from a podcast, Off Yer Feet featuring Todd Glass along with Nick Thune. And Tyson also supplied us with a brand new instrumental track to play under out Celebration of Thanks coming up near the end of the show. (YOu can check out all of his amazing tunage over at SoundCloud.) This installment of Succotash is brought to you by Henderson's new Beavertail Jeans. CLIPS Chillpak Hollywood HourHard to believe but our friends in podcast — Dean Haglund and Phil Leirness, the hosts of Chillpak Hollywood Hour — just kicked off their 10th year of changing the way you listen to the internet, as well as providing middle to high class entertainment for those with the ears to hear it. I’m happy to announce that sometime during Year 9, our false feud came to an end and so we can, once again, bring you a taste of the Chill… Secret Skin Secret Skin is part of the Infinite Guest network of podcasts, hosted by musician and sometimes comedian Mike Eagle. Mike and his guest usually poke around behind the scenes of the hip-hop world. But recently his guest was comedian Nick Thune, and they got into a lot of topics — why Nick gave up one-liners and his guitar onstage to talk about who Jesus would want to hang out with if he was around today, and embarrassing stories. Nick shares the somewhat disgraceful way he ended his career as a car salesman, and Mike shares a story so embarrassing that, until now, he’s only told four people. And now yo, once you listen. Awesome EtiquetteIt seems like Awesome Etiquette is actually hosted by a couple of folks with some manners in their DNA. Lizzie Post and Daniel Post Senning are with the Emily Post Institute and, for those of you who as so gauche as to not know, Emily Post literately wrote the book on manner and etiquette in 1922. Both hosts don’t have Post in their names by amazing coincidence – it turns out they are the great great grandchildren of the Grand Dame of Manners. The SlantOur next clip comes directly from the podcasters themselves. They uploaded this to us at our direct upload site, at http://hightail.com/u/Succotash and I wish they’d sent a little more background. They have a Libsyn site and a Facebook page and a Twitter account and — don’t get me wrong, The Slant is constantly retweeting our stuff and they are very supportive — but I just don’t know that much about them. I know that the ringleader is someone named Sal. And there’s Lisa, and Ant, and Christine. There may be more, I can’t tell. The Late Show — Tonight’s WatchWhat I love most about podcasting is that pretty much anything goes. And I do mean anything. There's a spin-off podcast from The Late Show with Stephen Cobert called Tonight’s Watch. Hosted by Duncan (and his guest, Maester Text-To-Speech, in this episode), It’s a ostensibly a weekly update about HBO’s Game Of Thrones series but…well, you just have to hear it for yourself. (And it's shouldn't be confused with the actual ToNight's Watch GOT-following podcast…or maybe it should.) Wisecrackin’ With WinterOur Associate Producer has unearthed yet another podcast I’ve never heard of, called Wisecrackin’ With Winter. It features Mike Winter, who, according to the podcast’s About page: …bring decades of entertainment experience, including television, radio, and live performances, in his commentary on topics ranging from: challenges of doing stand-up at Ebola clinics, how to win shot a drinking contest with an Authoritarian Dictator, debating the severity of erectile dysfunction (after athletes abuse steroids for years), to trying to figure out how to re-purpose the thousands of discarded jerseys of disgraced football players. What does that all mean? I’m not sure. The SchmoozecastComedian Barry Weintraub has been working hard to resurrect the Comedy USA name (formerly the title of his national comedy magazine) in several ways. One of those is a comedy podcast called The Schmoozecast. He’s been recording in a sound booth that has been built at Comic Strip Live in New York and recently he had an episode featuring comedian John Mulrooney. John’s a great guy who’s still working today but, when he’s not doing comedy gigs, he works as a patrolman for the Coxsackie Police Department in upstate New York. You can only find episodes of The Schmoozecast at ComedyUSA.com and that’s about it — Barry has yet to master how to get the show up on iTunes. But he will – he’s a very determined fellow. Savage Henry Magazine Radio ProgramThere's a humor magazine in Arcata, which is in Humboldt County, California, called Savage Henry and, once every couple of weeks, the owner/editor Chris Durant puts out a podcast called the Savage Henry Magazine Radio Program. In the show that Tyson snagged this clip from, he’s joined by “special” co-host Matt Redbeard and guest, comedian Dash Kwiatkowski. Obsessed with Joseph ScrimshawGot a note from Sarah Meyer, who does press for the podcast Obsessed with Joseph Scrimshaw. She says “Hi there, Me again! 'Obsessed' put out a special Hamilton episode today — I thought I’d send the press release along since you were so helpful back in March! :) If you wanted to feature a clip on Succotash, or write a review for the Huffington Post, that would be amazing! Thanks so much! Sarah.” Thanks for the note, Sarah! Not sure about HuffPo yet but you got a clip on, featuring host Joseph Scrimshaw and his guests Paul & Storm, and Emma Fyffe… Thanks for reading this blog and (hopefully) listening to the actual podcast. Please take a few moments to rate and review us up on iTunes, and visit our homesite at http://SuccotashShow.com where you can read the blog post that goes with this very episode, buy something from our Succotashery, click our Donate button and give us money, or use the Amazon banner at the top of the page to do your Amazon shopping which helps us out, too. Don’t forget to pass the Succotash! — Marc Hershon
