It's a bold question, and the answer may surprise you. There is much anecdotal evidence of people uncovering serious illnesses through their dreams and also receiving insights on how to manage and even cure physical ailments. So, perhaps no scientific proof for those who doubt the power of dreams. Yet several thousand years ago, the Greeks and Romans used dreams and created healing temples for curing sickness, so maybe there's something here after all. The idea of using dreams for our health is the subject of the new book Dream Medicine: The Intersection of Wellness and Consciousness, written by this week's guest, Dr. Kimberly Mascaro. Kimberly has long used dreams as a method to help promote healing and wellness and she tells us:•the dreams that helped her through her own illness•how to use dreams as medicine•what you need to do before you can trust your dreams•what dream incubation is and how to use it•why the use of dreams for healing has faced so much opposition over the years•the future of dream medicine Dreams don't replace the need for doctors and other medical treatment. But if you believe they have a place in the arsenal for your health or simply want to learn more about it, don't miss this enlightening episode of Dream Power Radio. Kimberly R. Mascaro, PhD, LMFT is a holistic psychotherapist, nonfiction author, mixed media visual artist, and educator with over 20 years of professional experience in the field of mental and behavioral health.
