Vor etwas mehr als 20 Jahren kam der Dacia Logan zum Kampfpreis von 7200 Euro auf den Markt. Mit gut abgehangener Technik von Renault und nur mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet. Inzwischen hat Dacia in Deutschland sein einmillionstes Auto verkauft und ist aus dem Straßenbild nicht mehr wegzudenken. Eine Erfolgsgeschichte, die einst mit einer kompakten Stufenhecklimousine begann, deren Low-Cost-Konzept revolutionär war, weil ein gut ausgestattetes Kompaktauto seinerzeit mindestens das Doppelte kostete. Immerhin: Zwei Airbags und ABS waren hierzulande Serie. Doch ansonsten erzeugte viel Billigplastik im Innenraum ein eher karges Ambiete. Auf die Limousine folgten später noch der seinerzeit als Raumwunder gefeierte Hochdach-Kombi MCV, der Logan Van sowie eine Pick-up-Variante. Und dann gab es da ja noch den Dacia Logan Cup, der die "Geiz-ist-geil"-Denke in die Motosport-Welt trug. Doch wie ist es um das Klassiker-Potenzial des Logan bestellt? Kann billig jemals cool sein? Dr. Remy Wyatt is a Texas native whose roots in purebred Limousin cattle shaped her lifelong passion for the beef industry. Growing up on ranches in both Texas and Kentucky, she gained early experience in the cow-calf sector and heifer development, which led her to pursue a degree in Animal Science at West Texas A&M University. While there, she discovered her love for meat science and worked with the Beef Carcass Research Center, traveling the country to collect and analyze carcass data from major feedlot research projects.Her journey continued at Texas Tech University, where she earned her Master's in Meat Science in 2016, followed by a Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition from Iowa State University. In den USA war die dort als Plymouth beziehungsweise Dodge vermarktete Kompaktlimousine, auch dank einer neuen Generation kräftiger Sechzehnventil-Motoren, ein echter Erfolg. In Deutschland war der Neon ein Chrysler und spielte in der unteren Mittelklasse eher eine Nebenrolle.
