In Matthew 26, Jesus faced betrayal, denial, and the pressures of a world set against Him—yet He remained faithful to the Father's will. In this message, Pastor David reminds us that even when culture drifts from God's truth, believers are called to stand firm in obedience. We'll see how Jesus' example in the Garden of Gethsemane and His response to those who opposed Him reveal the strength that comes from prayer, surrender, and trust in God's plan. This sermon challenges us to live with conviction, courage, and integrity in a world that often chooses compromise over truth.

The book of Daniel tells the story of faith under fire—of ordinary people who stayed rooted in God while living in a culture that didn’t share their values. From exile in Babylon to lion’s dens and prophetic dreams, Daniel shows us that small acts of faith can anchor us in uncertain times. This 12-week journey will help you discover how to live right side up in an upside-down world—with integrity, trust, and unshakable hope. What You'll Discover Practical tools to stay grounded in your faithLiving with conviction even in uncertaintyUnderstanding prayer and spiritual resilienceConfidence in God’s control—no matter what’s happening around you Alive Method and the Big Picture of Daniel Starting next week, Nicole will launch a 12-week study through Daniel—a book of courageous faith in a hostile culture (chs. 1–6) and sweeping prophecy about kingdoms and God’s eternal rule (chs. 7–12). In this intro, she explains why Daniel matters now, how to navigate history + apocalyptic sections, and the simple four-question Alive Method we’ll use each week: What does it say? Proverbs offers a roadmap for navigating everyday challenges with clarity and confidence—not just knowing more, but actually living wisely. In this series, we'll explore practical, time-tested wisdom on everything from developing character and building healthy relationships, to showing kindness, managing our words, overcoming anger, and learning to trust God fully. Upholding the "Christian" label in a world like ours is vulnerable—it's risky. If we live rightly in our wrong world, sooner or later we will find ourselves in conflict or threatened. When Esther's people, the Jews, were threatened, she had to choose whether or not she was going to stand up for them against the persecution of Haman. Would she keep her identity as a Jew a secret and save herself? Or would she stick her neck out and try to save the Jews?Jill encourages us to be like Esther, and to be unashamed of the Gospel message in our witness. What is the growing appeal of fascist idealism for young people? Why is radical nationalism on the rise in Europe and throughout the world? In Living Right: Far Right Youth Activists in Contemporary Europe (Princeton UP, 2024), Dr. Agnieszka Pasieka provides an in-depth account of the ideas and practices that are driving the varied forms of far-right activism by young people from all walks of life, revealing how these social movements offer the promise of comradery, purpose, and a moral calling to self-sacrifice, and demonstrating how far-right ideas are understood and lived in ways that speak to a variety of experiences. Dr. Agnieszka Pasieka draws on her own sometimes harrowing fieldwork among Italian, Polish, and Hungarian militant youths, painting unforgettable portraits of students, laborers, entrepreneurs, musicians, and activists from well-off middle class backgrounds who have all found a nurturing home in the far right. With a focus on far-right morality that challenges commonly held ideas about the right, Dr. Pasieka describes how far-right movements afford opportunities to the young to be active members of tightly bonded comradeships while sharing in a broader project with global ramifications. Hey Team! This week we've got a really fun episode, I'm talking with ANDY J. PIZZA - well that was weird… Let's try that again - ANDY J. PIZZA - All right, let's just go with it. Andy is a podcaster, illustrator, and creative thinker who's built a career by embracing the parts of himself that used to feel like liabilities. Andy's the host of Creative Pep Talk, and his Right Side Out podcast series dives into what happens when you stop trying to pass for neurotypical and start living a little more like yourself. Andy was diagnosed in his twenties, and his experience navigating masking, creative burnout, and late-in-life self-acceptance forms the core of what we're talking about today. In our conversation, we talk about the costs of masking, the weird middle ground between accommodation and authenticity, and the realization that sometimes we forget who we are because we've been trying so hard to be someone else. We also get into creative practice, novelty, and his favorite ADHD-friendly productivity hacks. And of course, we talk about what it means to live “right side out,” and what it really means to show up authentically. This was definitely one of my favorite episodes I've recorded so far this year, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Start Freedom today! Use code ADHD40 to get them 40% off a Freedom Yearly premium subscription! Listen to the Climbing the Walls podcast here! If you'd life to follow along on the show notes page you can find that at HackingYourADHD.com/221 YouTube Channel My Patreon This Episode's Top Tips Masking isn't inherently a bad thing, but it certainly is when we're doing it all the time and unconsciously. We want to be intentional about when and why we mask, and aim for authenticity when possible. It's okay to embrace opposing truths. We need structure and flexibility, goals and play. We don't have to fall into all-or-nothing thinking, and this can help us balance some of these ADHD “contradictions”. Celebrate difference, don't just tolerate it. Safe spaces are good, but celebration spaces—where your uniqueness is actively valued—are better. Look for relationships or communities where people enjoy your way of being, not just what you can do

Radical nationalism is on the rise in Europe and throughout the world. Living Right: Far-Right Youth Activists in Contemporary Europe (Princeton University Press, 2024) provides an in-depth account of the ideas and practices that are driving the varied forms of far-right activism by young people from all walks of life, revealing how these social movements offer the promise of comradery, purpose, and a moral calling to self-sacrifice, and demonstrating how far-right ideas are understood and lived in ways that speak to a variety of experiences. In this eye-opening book, Agnieszka Pasieka draws on her own sometimes harrowing fieldwork among Italian, Polish, and Hungarian militant youths, painting unforgettable portraits of students, laborers, entrepreneurs, musicians, and activists from well-off middle class backgrounds who have all found a nurturing home in the far right. Providing an in-depth account of radical nationalist communities and networks that are taking root across Europe, she shows how the simultaneous orientation of these groups toward the local and the transnational is a key to their success. With a focus on far-right morality that challenges commonly held ideas about the right, Pasieka describes how far-right movements afford opportunities to the young to be active members of tightly bonded comradeships while sharing in a broader project with global ramifications. Required reading for anthropologists and anyone concerned about the resurgence of far-right militancy today, Living Right sheds necessary light on the forces that have made the growing appeal of fascist idealism for young people one of the most alarming trends of our time. Agnieszka Pasieka is assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Montreal. * This episode is part of a special collaboration between the New Books Network and the Society for the Anthropology of Europe, a section of the American Anthropological Association. Together, we're highlighting exciting new work in Europeanist anthropology—featuring authors from across the field, including winners of the William A. Douglass Book Prize and contributors to the European Anthropology in Translation series published by Berghahn Books. Learn more about your ad choices. God will dwell with us. This is the news that the triune God created us to be in communion with himself. And though that communion got severed by human sin, God yet refuses to be alone without us. He declines to just let us go and leave us to our own devices. He has determined in his superabounding love to restore our fellowship, renew the world and dwell forever in relationship with us. We have, in this present time, in this very moment, opportunity to participate in that re-connection with the one true God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
