(0:00) Two people were rescued from Long Island Sound, after a plane went down over the weekend. Chaz and AJ spoke with Danny Coughlin, Assistant Chief with the New Haven Fire Dept., about the rescue efforts between his department, the Branford FD and the Coast Guard. (14:43) In Dumb Ass News, Chaz and AJ had an update from a story they did last week. A passenger, Stephanie, was one of the people on the plane with the viral clip of a young girl singing a song from Moana. (28:14) Channel 3's Nicole Nalepa was in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning, and had a debate with Tribe member Ed from East Haven over their different parenting styles. (36:25)

September 29. 2024What an inspiration Jim Futral has been to the people and churches of Mississippi, serving as a pastor for more than 30 years and as the Executive Director-Treasurer of the MS Southern Baptist Convention for 22 years. Although a native of Arkansas, Dr. Futral grew up in Mississippi and has said, "I would take you back, all the way back to Pheba (MS) Baptist Church where I was born again as a 9-year old boy... It's like it was yesterday I met Jesus, and I haven't gotten over that, and I don't intend to. Dr. Futral holds master of divinity and doctor of ministry degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminay; an undergraduate degree from Blue Mountain College; and an associate degree fromt the former Clarke College in Newton, MS. Prior to taking the position at the MS Baptist Convention Board, he pastored Broadmoor Baptist Church beginning in 1985, previously serving six churches in Mississippi and two in Texas dating back to 1964. Dr. Futral and his wife, Shirley, have three grown children and a host of grandchildren.
