This podcast is super recent and recorded super on time. It is about things that are happening now and definitely not things from two weeks ago, like the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo and the Nintendo Partner direct. Also, we talk Akio Otsuka's singing voice and also literally why is Shun Akiyama like this? It's two episodes in one this week as I bust up 16 robots masters and one evil scientist that won't quit! It's Mega Man II and Mega Man III! A lot of talk about why Mega Man II is one of the best NES games out there, the troubled history of Mega Man III and why it made Inafune the great designer we know him as today. And I finally get to talk about Returnal! Spoiler Free Recommendation - ~71 minutes Please rate and review the show where ever you get your podcasts! More grey lemons than you can toss a game brick at! Apparently all the gameboy games are Rockman World, making me wonder why all the GB ports of games are their own worlds. At any rate, join the Man Mega on his quest to overthrow the somewhat confusing hodgepodge of bosses from 3 and 4, and to the final castle. Also, suddenly appearing monsters over pits and just-barely-taller-than-your-shortest-jump-ceiling-spikes to pad out the gameplay!

When we covered Mega Man II originally, I still didn't have good equipment to record with yet. I thought it would be a good idea to record a new version of this episode. I'm just getting over a cold, so I apologize if my voice still sounds a bit rough. This Wednesday at 8pm I will be streaming Mega Man III on Twitch. In a few days there will be a schedule for upcoming streams on the website. Future episodes will also have it listed in the notes for that episode. We are also on iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher. You can also download episodes from the Internet Archive. Please consider becoming a Patron of the podcast.

He's blue and cyan... MEGA MAN! Well on this North America game box art he's more of a yellow and bluish color, but that's beside the point. We go back to one of the greatest classics to ever grace the NES console and feature music from the first three games in the Mega Man (a.k.a Rockman) series. We hope that this episode brings back fond memories of the glory days when games were designed to kick your little kid ass. I believe most of us remember the good old days of challenging platformers and Mega Man was one of the best to come from the NES era. Mega Man: Music Composer Manami Matsumae. It's that time of year again. Where there are too many great games and not enough time to play them. That means, of course, that with each new release we're just adding to the backlog. But that won't keep us from playing a level or two and discussing them. This week! We're joined by Sega producer Ethan Einhorn to talk about the games we've been playing in the last seven days. That includes: Fallout 3, Little Big Planet, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, Mega Man III, Gears of War 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Resistance 2, Left 4 Dead, Pinball FX, Banjo-Kazooie XBLA, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts and...we probably mentioned a couple other games in there too but you'll just have to listen and find out. Thanks for listening!
