Rob was unable to make it for Episode 243, but he was there in spirit, along with special guest Donny Divanian. As always, there's a lot of great music to cover in this mixtape. Main Menu from Multi Play Volleyball would fit well on an Elevator Music episode, with parts sounding reminiscent of Pilotwings. Main Theme from Kiki Kaikai is a PC Engine track with a strong Asiatic

Patreon.com/RememberTheGame We're back with a bang this week. I've been calling for more F-Zero for years and figured it was time to start showing the series more love on RTG. So it's all about the superb F-Zero X for the N64 this week. Possibly the fastest game of the 90s? I didn't play this one much growing up, but I was blown away (George! Blow blow blow blow blow blowwwwwwn away) by how fast and smooth this one runs for a freaking Nintendo 64 game. More racers, more tracks, better soundtrack, higher speeds; it's the SNES game on steroids. And it's one of the best games on the 64. My guest this week is PENDING RTG Hall of Famer, Mark McCue, and we showed F-Zero some love this week. We both suck at this game but it didn't stop us from talking about how awesome it is, and we got into the potential future of the franchise, too. And before we try and push other drivers to their doom, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week, someone asks what it means to "100%" a game these days. Does anyone else hate it when people say "get good"??? And why do I like playing the "evil" playthroughs of games? Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 N64 heavies: Wave Race 64, Star Fox 64, and Pilotwings 64. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Welcome back to part two of the December 91 Playing with Power episode and it seems this is an issue featuring many returns. Last time we talked about the Return of the Joker, this time we're talking about Return of Samus, aka Metroid II for Game Boy which features some really gross art (which we mean as a compliment.) Later we talk about Adventure Island for Game Boy which also has some gross art (which we DON'T mean as a compliment). There's also a Ninja Gaiden game for Game Boy. And if that wasn't enough Game Boy for you, we also get to see some reader created custom Game Boy designs. Some of these are REALLY cool and make us wish they had been real. There's also a few SNES previews for Pilotwings and Populous. There's lots to talk about, including that gal from Blossom, squishy monsters, SNES arcade software. We hope you enjoy!
We are joined by Larry from the Dastardly Decimal System podcast to talk about the latest Nintendo news and look back at Pilotwings.
Cliff and Ash drop in on our good mate Shingzy and see what else he was doing, other than making his plumber 3D.We have a look at Silicon Graphics bringing in their good mate in, Paradigm Simulation, to help them show off what the Ultra 64 could be and how that developed in to a sequel to the game that had previously shown off what the SNES could do.Join the conversation on Discord!Theme song by Other ChrisFollow Under Consoletation on TwitterFollow Under Consoletation on InstagramSend your thoughts to feedback@underconsoletation.com Hosted on Acast. We're finishing up August 1991 again, and we're really excited because we get to talk about SimCity again, and we're pretty big fans of SimCity. But first we need to discuss Gradius III and Pilotwings, and we end up making our first shifts in the list. But what where will they end up? Do you think their re-evaluations are fair? Then we get to talk about the SNES's quirky take on the classic game, SimCity. Not only is SimCity a pretty important game, but it's got some interesting history behind it. We'll be discussing that and some other early "god-sims" in today's deep dive. All of this, a fun easter egg Emmy found in early SNES instruction manuals, and more in today's SNEScapades! We start with a little talk about TwitchCon as well as a dangerous situation that occurred there that we might be hearing about for a while. The best trailer I saw this week was not a movie, and it's very unexpected. Overwatch 2 requires a phone number to play - and it has to be a real one, not a pre-paid or VOIP number. This leaves many lower-income players out of the "free to play" game. The PlayStation VR2 is in "full production" and Sony is expecting to have 2 million units out at launch. No Man's Sky is launching on the Nintendo Switch and is adding fully customizable accessibility modes in it's 21st update after its launch six years ago. Then we talk about the Mario movie and hear a report from TwitchCon from OLR's Rob Roberts.
• Intro • Our thoughts on the Super Mario Bros movie trailer and Chris Pratt's voice • Did Microsoft leak their Xbox streaming box? • Pilot Wings 64 coming to Switch Online • Splatoon 3 and vTubers controversy • Original cover art for the first ZELDA surfaces • Kojima teases his next game • New controller converts to a fight stick • Streamers injured at Twitch Con • Gotham Knights spoilers that we all already know • Switch version 15.0.0 released • Two unreleased NES Games found on eBay • Inside look at an Xbox Game Pass arrangement • TWEET OF THE WEEK • Q&A Streamed: October 11th, 2022 on http://twitch.tv/wulffden

Just Step and Stoy on this week's episode, feelin the fall sickness but still pumping out another great episode (at least we say so...). Today we talk about the Dead Space trailer, the Mario movie trailer, and others as well like Pokemon, Need for Speed to name a few. Apparently Nintendo is censoring "boob nudity" in Hot Tentacles Shooter, and we also go over CD Projekt RED's roadmap for the next ten years; a bunch of new Witcher titles as well as a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. Steph beats Kirby and the Forgotten Lands, and plays Splatoon 3 while Stoy just blazes through Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo the video game. Enjoy the episode! The 8-Bit Big Band is a 30-65 member Jazz/Pops orchestra (led by Charlie Rosen) that formed to celebrate and realize some of the best musical themes written from various video games. The members of the 8-Bit Big Band come from all around the world, but most reside primarily in New York City, and are some of the most highly sought after musicians and performers, all gamers at heart who enjoy playing their favorite games of all time! Charlie Rosen is extremely talented; he's a composer and arranger, professional bass player and multi-instrumentalist and does just about everything involved in producing the 8BBB albums. He's been playing professionally for years and has orchestrated and composed music for television, film and over a dozen Broadway shows. He's well-versed in all manner of Big Band and Jazz, and his expanded arrangements give new life to old classics. Together with Charlie we cover a selection of tracks from 3 full-length albums and an EP. We talk music theory, arrangement, our favorite pop cultural references and so much more in this densely packed show. It was a blast start to finish and as always, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
