In Black Mirror's episode '15 Million Merits', Bing's expression and outburst about the injustice of how everyone is living shows the aspect of division of class, but more on point, about the pretence of a society that is based on choice, when really, as can understand, it is not. More clues, much like the 'Cuppliance' drink can emphasise this theory, another being the judges of the show 'Hot Shot'. Wraith - a demon that takes your soul, Hope - like Pandora's box of containing hope to prolong suffering, and Charity - much like the Greek Charities, used by benefiting good and evil men with persuasion tactics. Join Leo and me as we journey into the realm of Black Mirror, analyzing the societal implications of the Netflix series and its portrayal of our obsession with social media. We unpack the episode "Nosedive", examining its depiction of influencers, the burden and blessings of their platforms, and whether the show is a critique or an exaggeration of modern society. Listen as we share our insights into the role of recurring actors, and discuss the performance of Latisha Roy in "Black Museum", and how it propels the conversation about technology's impact on marginalized communities. Brace yourself as we step into the interactive world of "Bandersnatch" and debate how it gives the illusion of choice while actually leading to decision paralysis. We analyze how episodes like "Jonas Awful" and "Law Henry" draw attention to the exploitative nature of true crime, and discuss the nuances of Netflix's terms and conditions. Furthermore, we explore the concept of free will in Bandersnatch and share our thoughts on its many, somewhat disappointing, endings. Lastly, we move on to discussing our favorite performances and TV shows, with Daniel Kaluya's performance in "50 Million Merits" and Aaron Paul's performance in "Beyond the Sea" taking center stage. We also explore how seasoned actor, Andrew Garfield, outshone others in the movie "Tick, Tick, Boom". Wrapping up, we list our top 5 Black Mirror episodes and eagerly anticipate future seasons. Jake and Caleb go it alone to discuss staging '15 Million Merits' from anthology series Black Mirror. We'll be putting Charlie Booker and Kanak Huq's 2011 feature length episode, starring Daniel Kaluuya and Jessica Brown Findlay, into our hypothetical theatre! In 15 Million Merits, Bing, who has recently inhereted 'credits' from a relative, meets Abi, an excellent singer, and convinces her to participate in a talent game show to escape the slave-like world around them. The episode is a science-fictiondystopia which features a parallel to reality shows such as The X Factor and figures such as Simon Cowell.15 Million Merits was the second episode to air despite being the first to be written, and similarly this was the first episode we recorded!Take a listen and let us know your thoughts @maybeulikeit or info@maybeyoulikeit.co.uk. 15 Minutes: a podcast about fame, with Jamie Berger

Abbi Crutchfield is the co-host of Tru TV’s You can Do Better. She’s a comedian, currently touring as one of four funnywomen on the CAKE comedy tour (cakecomedy.com) and former host of People Magazine’s Now. She has been featured on MTV, VH1, CollegeHumor and in national commercials. She is a contributor to Someecards, and her jokes are listed among the Best Tweets of the Year by Huffington Post Comedy. She’s been living in L.A., to shoot the second season of You Can Do Better, but later this year will return to Brooklyn, where she co- produces the weekly stand-up hour The Living Room Show, Fridays at 8pm Postmark Cafe in Brooklyn. Those of you who’ve been listening to the show for a while will remember my conversation with my old friend Matthew Latkiewicz, her co-host, back in Episode 9. In that episode, Matthew rather extremely candidly expressed his cynicism about the show he was about to debut, along with just about everything about fame. Since watching the first season of the show, in which Abbi tends to play good cop to Matthew’s kind of geek bad boy, I’ve wanted to get her perspective on it all. So I finally did. After one botched recording, we spoke a second time, with much better results, at least in terms of audio quality, in February.Find Abbi on Twitter and Instagram @curlycomedyNote: “15 Million Merits” not "Credits" is the name of the "Black Mirror" episode I mentioned briefly (beware: spoiler!).
