Today's guest is Nate Bell, Corporate Functions Business Data Leader at Wells Fargo. Nate joins us on today's show to discuss the growing role of AI in the financial services sector, focusing on reconciling infrastructure investment with innovative use cases. With a unique vantage point from the data side, Nathaniel explores three main challenges in data management: the cost of good data management, navigating new AI-related risks, and the complexities of anthropomorphizing AI. These issues, he explains, can lead to misconceptions both within management and in customer-facing environments, where AI's “people-pleasing” capabilities are often misunderstood. They have 2 grown daughters and one grandson. Tune in for a conversation with Nate Bell that will nudge you to think deeper about your political choices.
This week, in lieu of our regular weekly news roundup, we're sharing something special — a speech by Arkansas Times editor emeritus Max Brantley on the sorry state of politics and journalism in our state.Beginning in November 2023, the Arkansas Times started a luncheon speaker series that covers current events in Arkansas and serves as a fundraiser for our reporting efforts. Speakers have included former LRSD superintendent Baker Kurrus; Lauren Cowles, a drafter of the Arkansas Abortion Amendment and coalition member with Arkansans for Limited Government; and former state representative Nate Bell. This week, guests heard from Max, who retired from the Arkansas Times in 2023 after 50 years in journalism in Little Rock. We welcome your feedback. Write us at podcasts@arktimes.com

The Nebraska Beer Blog, (www.nebraskabeerblog.com) discusses the state of craft brewing in Nebraska. These can include our wonderful craft brewers, taverns where craft beer is a specialty, dates and information on upcoming craft brew festivals, and even a listing of suppliers to home brewers.Nate Bell is an avid beer connoisseur, and he enthusiastically samples and critiques the upcoming and seasonal releases from our craft brewers.Since (in my opinion), craft brewing and great live music go hand in hand, we're also going to explore the great little pubs where you can experience both. You can also find the Nebraska Beer Blog on Facebook at Facebook.com/NebraskaBeerBlog.
