In this episode we continue our celebration of the 40th Anniversary of 1982s Blade Runner with part 2 of our discussion on the Blade Runner franchise. Today we're going to talk about the 3 2049 prequel shorts Blade Runner Black Out 2022, Blade Runner 2036: Nexus Dawn and Blade Runner 2048: Nowhere to Run. And of course Blade Runner 2049 itself and the 13 episode Japanese-American anime CGI series, Blade Runner: Black Lotus.
We've reached the end of our dive into the filmography of director Denis Villenueve, and we're ending off with what many consider to be his masterpiece Blade Runner 2049. The long awaited (?) sequel to Ridley Scott's seminal 1982 sci-fi classic was Denis' biggest film to date and it famously didn't do well in theaters at all. However it is a common candidate in the topic of "Movies We Wish Made More Money." With Dune now on the way what can we say about this visionary's first step into the world of blockbuster filmmaking? Tune in to find out. Plus we talk the latest trailers like Scream and The Black Phone, latest news like Will Poulter joining Guardians 3, and more right here on Notorious by Chance. 0:36 - NFL Week 5 Recap/Week 6 Predictions 25:50 - Trailer Talk 44:05 - NOTORIOUS News 1:07:55 - Blade Runner Quick Review 1:11:20 - Blade Runner 2049 Prologue Shorts (Black Out 2022, Nexus Dawn 2036, and Nowhere to Run 2048) 1:20:17 - Blade Runner 2049 Review
Welcome to Episode 146. This is a special one, ladies and gentlemen. This week we were fortunate enough to be able to sit down with Martin MacPhail of the band Blitz//Berlin, who composed the original scores for movies like "Extraterrestrial", "It Stains The Sand Red", "Blade Runner 2036 "Nexus Dawn", "The Void", and most recently "P.G.: Psycho Goreman". Let's go back to a time when people sat in movie theaters. Remember that? Remember the feeling you got when you saw the trailer for Top Gun: Maverick? You know why you got that feeling? Because they did the fucking score for it. That's why. Blitz//Berlin are the real deal. Recognize. It was an absolute pleasure talking with Martin about music, movies, our mutual love for The Mars Volta, TMNT, and the amazing story of both hard work and chance that brought Blitz//Berlin to where they are today. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did recording it. We want to thank Martin for taking the time to join us and hope to have him back on again sometime as we were nowhere near done with the conversation by the time he had to go. We also want to thank Brian from Pop Culture Leftovers for joining us a s guest host this week. Be sure to subscribe to PCL, as they're one of the best podcasts out there. Be sure to watch Psycho Goreman now on VOD and also buy the soundtrack in it's glorious vinyl form now on Wax Records Lastly, we didn't stop recording when Martin left us. If you'd like to hear what else we recorded that day with Brian, you can join us on Patreon where you're guaranteed at least 2 bonus shows a month. Enjoy! Estos son: Blade Runner Black Out 2022, 2036: Nexus Dawn y 2048: Nowhere to Run. Los tres se pueden ver en Youtube.
After a long break we return with special guest Martin Macphail from Blitz//Berlin and we're talking about Canadian Lovecraftian nightmare, The Void. Blitz//Berlin is a Canadian trio of composers based in Los Angeles, California. They are known for composing the music to Blade Runner 2036 : Nexus Dawn, as well as numerous feature films such as The Void and Still/Born. You can find out more about Blitz//Berlin at https://www.blitzberlinmusic.com/ We talk about our weeks. ---- Films and TV discussed A Star Is Born (Maybe for a little too long) Happy Death Day 2U Twilight Zone US What We Do In The Shadows The Headhunter Prospect Discussion about The Void begins at 22 mins Recorded March 28th 2019 Intro music by Blitz//Berlin Outro music by Chan Walrus

《Black Out 2022》 《2036:Nexus Dawn》 《2048:Nowhere to Run》 14分钟以后有点小剧透,不喜勿听。

On this episode, JM, Patrick, and Ryan discuss the first official entry into the Blade Runner visual universe since 1982. 2036: Nexus : Dawn is a six minute short film, directed by Luke Scott, and serves to give the audience a peak into the happenings between the end of 2019's Blade Runner and the events in 2049. This is a deep and complex discussion about the set, the mood, the implications of a perceived villain, and so much more.
