______________________________________________ *Matthew 14:25-33* Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.' And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, 'O you of little faith, why did you doubt?' And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, 'Truly You are the Son of God.' ———————————————————————————— Jesus On Water Walks: His Fearless Looks Effortless (Tribute to Heart Wants What It Wants by Bebe Rexha) [Original written by: Bebe Rexha, Bonnie McKee, Ido Zmishlany, Jussi Karvinen, Liana Banks, Ray Goren, Ryan Williamson, & Sarah Solovay] Lyrics: Jesus On water, walks Water, walks Water, walks Water, walks Fearless looks effortless In His Father's name From above From above From above From above Worthy of praising So Pray to the God, who's faith, it soothes Master of the unseen Can heal like no one else can do Still dodging death Everlasting tune Dry bones writhing In His presence They're awakening So Be the arrow in His quiver Shout out words of prophecy Praise God cause He died for you on Calvary Jesus On water, walks Water, walks Water, walks Water, walks Fearless look effortless In His Father's name From above From above From above From above Worthy of praising So He's God Gonna praise His love He's God Gonna praise His love He's God He's the One to trust He's our truth ~ Jesus On water, walks Water, walks Water, walks Water, walks His fearless looks effortless Ducking fiery darts He's my escape He's led so many folks From death to life Never made one mistake Our souls, He won't mishandle He steals our pains Dry bones writhing Through His breath & presence He's awakening Be the arrow in His quiver Shout out words of prophecy Praise God cause He died for you on Calvary Jesus On water, walks Water, walks Water, walks Water, walks His fearless looks effortless In His Father's name From above From above From above From above He's worthy of praising He's God Gonna praise His love He's God Gonna praise His love He's God He's the One to trust He's truth ~ Jesus On water, walks Water, walks Water, walks Water, walks His fearless looks effortless He's our truth ~ Our truth ~ Truth ~ His fearless looks effortless He's our truth End Tribute written by Melissa SmithBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/mel-s-music--3634451/support.

Show # 271 – Live, Uncut & Uncensored Conversations With “Musicians You Should Know” Lisa Grissom from Tall City Blues Fest stops by to discuss the festival on July 10, 11 & 12. Music On The Couch will be webcasting live once again and I am acting as stage Emcee for this Festival partner. Bernard Allison just released his first studio album in 6 years entitled In The Mix, which features all of Bernard's influences. Learning to play at an early age and listening to his dad's albums, put Bernard on solid ground. He has made himself into his own man and we will explore his journey. Chefjimi comes by with the Blues411 Report and I am sure it will include updates on the new bionic knee. COUCH KID NEW MUSIC TIMES TWO First, Beth McKee brings her new album, the just released Sugarcane Revival to the Couch and we will speak with her about what has been going on in her life since she last sat with us back in June of 2011. Another Couch Kid returns when Ray Goren brings his EP Save My Soul to share. Ray originally sat with me as part of the Generation Blues Band with Jamie “Bluesboy” Powell. Jamie passed recently and Ray is continuing with the lessons he learned from his mentor and friend.
On this special bonus episode sponsored by Blind Raccoon, Hurricane Ruth plays tracks from Born On The River and talks about her big sound and river life in Beardstown, Illinois. Also on this episode, we’ve got a full on blues set from Charlie Musselwhite, Stacy Jones, Back Pack Jones, Missy Anderson, The Reverend Shawn Amos, and Ray Goren. "Ep241 Hurricane Ruth parties on the levee" originated from Americana Music Show.
Out of Ontario, Canada comes the MacKenzie Blues Band. Consisting of classically trained vocalist, Tara MacKenzie, guitarist Trevor MacKenzie, bassist Joel Dawson & drummer Mike Weir, they have just released their sophomore album Slam! Bam!, containing 12 originals. The band has traveled to Memphis for the IBC twice and we will discuss their careers and their music. Generation Blues Experience is the joining of 14-year old Ray Goren, who has played guitar at the Chicago Blues Festival and with Buddy Guy and more. he was introduced to 80-year old bluesman, Jamie Bluesboy Powell and septuangenerian harpist Sammy Lee. The three were introduced a few years agao and their musical talents meshed, and Generation Blues Band was formed. We'll talk about how their music bridges the generational gap and where they hope to go in the near future. Bob Corritore needs no introduction. Maybe an explanation as to why it has taken so long to bring Bob on the show; well I interviewed him for American Blues News a number of years ago, he has visited during my IBC shows and somehow,my brain turned that into him having appeared on a Monday show! When I realized my mistake, I reached out and Bob accepted. We'll look at how it all began some 40 years ago and then also chat with Bob about his take on the Blues World today as compared to when he was sharing the stage with the many legends who are no longer with us. We'll share some of the mus from Bob's latest, Taboo. Finally, Sena Ehrhardt returns for COUCH KID NEW MUSIC for her new album, Live My Life. Sena originally sat on The Couch back in May 2013, so we will find out what the last year has brought to this wonderful artist. "Musicians You Should Know"
