When all is said and done, one of the best trades ever made by the Cincinnati Bengals came when they sent Billy Price to the New York Giants for defensive tackle B.J. Hill before the start of the 2021 NFL season. Hill, now in his fourth season as a member of the Bengals defense, has played a key role in the team's on-field success and came up big again Saturday night against the Denver Broncos as the Bengals kept their playoff hopes alive for one more week. The North Carolina State product jumped into In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, to discuss how his role as a player has changed from being a young guy to a mentor to a couple of rookie defensive linemen. He also discussed the Bengals' most recent win over the Broncos and final regular-season opponent, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his love of being a member of the Bengals and the Cincinnati community. Be sure to participate in the First Star Logistics Giveaway each week the Bengals play. For all the details, visit the following on X. @DLInTheTrenches - @FirstStarLog - @JoeGoodberry - @JakeLiscow and watch the Jake and Joe Bengals Postgame show on the First Star Media Group YouTube channel after each Bengals game. For Week 18, they are giving away one Bengals-themed Jukebox with Bluetooth speakers.

Starters Sheldon Rankins and B.J. Hill have both played up to expectation since returning from their hamstring injuries, and key rotational pieces Myles Murphy and McKinnley Jackson are also looking the part since coming off the Reserve/Injured list. The position group is finally in a good place, but it wouldn't take much for them to be even better. This is where a rare Bengals trade could really come in handy, and an obvious target for them is actually someone they've already faced this season. Bengals trading for New York Giants edge defender Azeez Ojulari makes too much sense The Bengals have always valued players who perform well against them, and no one has had a better game rushing quarterback Joe Burrow this year than Ojulari. The former second-round pick tallied six pressures and two sacks during Cincinnati's Week 6 victory over New York. Ojulari has stepped into a larger role for the Giants recently with Kayvon Thibodeaux out with a wrist injury, but even with Thibodeaux now on I.R., the now 2-5 Giants would be smart to start looking towards the future and gaining draft capital where they can. Ojulari is in the last year of his rookie contract and won't be a starter once Thibodeaux returns, which makes him an ideal trade candidate for a selling team. "A former second round draft pick, Ojulari will be hitting free agency in 2025. He's played in 42.9% of the team's defensive snaps and with Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux on the team, it seems like he won't be getting a promotion anytime soon. Ojulari's career has been impacted by injuries, missing significant playing time in 2022 and 2023 but he did set the Giants' rookie sack record with eight back in 2021. The upside is still there." - A to Z Sports' Mauricio Rodriguez The Bengals themselves witnessed said upside against both of their best offensive linemen. Tackles Orlando Brown Jr. and Amarius Mims have been studs this year, and Ojulari was still able to get home off the edge. Ojulari would immediately be one of the Bengals' three best pass rushers off the edge and would be an ideal complement to Trey Hendrickson. Joseph Ossai is also on an expiring rookie contract, and both Hendrickson and Sam Hubbard are facing uncertain futures after this season as well. The Bengals could get a great second half of the season out of Ojulari for the price of a low draft pick and maybe even reward him after the season. This also wouldn't be the first time the Bengals have traded for a Giants' defensive lineman. They acquired Hill back in 2021 for the price of Billy Price. Hill has been everything the Bengals wanted him to be, and they've no reason not to like Ojulari's game as well.

Will the Bengals trade Jonah Williams? According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, there is interest across the league for a player like Williams. Historically, the Bengals trading away players is rare, especially of Williams' caliber. But will the Bengals take a similar course of action like they did back in 2021 when they traded away center Billy Price to the Giants for B.J. Hill? Or will they even try to trade away draft capital that will help them win immediately in 2023? Not only could a Williams move affect the Bengals' draft prospects, but it can significantly alter what happens with the No. 28 overall pick in next month's NFL Draft. The Strictly Stripes crew looks at all the different possibilities and ways that the Bengals could move around Williams if they decide to do so. They also look at how that would shape up the NFL Draft. This podcast features Mohammad Ahmad and Andrew Gillis. The a few more costs to the bill were added after the Cincinnati Bengals signed Orlando Brown Jr. Left tackle Jonah Williams has requested a trade following reports that indicated the Bengals wanted to move him to right tackle in favor of having Brown Jr. at left tackle. Williams has one year left on his current deal worth $12.6 million but there's no guarantee he'll be a Bengal for that final year. Historically, the Bengals have balked at such requests but that hasn't always been the case, such as when center Billy Price was traded to the Giants for current Bengals' defensive tackle B.J. Hill. With the draft over a month away though, the Bengals have to figure out if trading Williams or coming to a compromise is the way to go. The Strictly Stripes podcast weighs in on what the Bengals' outlook on Williams look like. With Brown Jr. now officially a Bengal, they talk about why the Bengals won big with his acquisition and what that means for other free agents looking ahead. On today's episode, Kunle is joined by Billy Price, Co-Founder of BILLY Footwear, a shoe company that creates inclusive, functional, and fashion-trendy shoes. Living an adventure-filled life as a child and getting into a university to get a degree in mechanical engineering, Billy Price's whole life was already planned ahead of him until his light was dimmed after a tragic fall from a three-story high window when he was 18. When he thought that this life-changing event had already confined him in his wheelchair forever, Darin, his childhood friend, gifted him a pair of shoes that was made especially for him, and little did he know that these shoes would make his light radiate even stronger. BILLY Footwear began as a simple gift from a friend to another friend in need. Now, they have sold over a million pairs of shoes and are continuously growing, adding value to people's lives. Billy shares their unique marketing strategy, getting into wholesaling and retail channels, and the inspiration behind their shoe styles. This episode is especially inspiring as you'd hear Kunle and Billy talk about the successes and struggles in building a company and staying true to its values no matter how much time passes and how big their company grows. ----------- SPONSORS: This episode is brought to you by: Wayflyer As you continue to grow your eCommerce business, access to growth capital will increasingly play a significant role in achieving and surpassing your financial and social goals. Why should you give up equity or pay high interest rates to grow your business?
