Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt Bold and the Beautiful viewers express their frustration over several characters. RJ Forrester, portrayed by Brayan Nicoletti, and Remy Pryce, played by Christian Weissmann, top the list of characters fans wish to see written out. The disdain extends to Brooke Logan's son, RJ Forrester, who, since his recasting, has been portrayed as entitled and unlikable. His pursuit of Electra Forrester, played by Laneya Grace, despite her relationship with Will Spencer, has been a major source of annoyance for fans.  B&B fans also see that Sheila Carter, enacted by Kimberlin Brown, also finds herself on the hit list. Despite Brad Bell's attempts to redeem Sheila, fans aren't buying it, especially after her attempts to murder Steffy Forrester, played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, and her son Finn, performed by Tanner Novlan. With Deacon Sharpe, portrayed by Sean Kanan, moving on with Taylor Hayes, played by Rebecca Budig, Sheila has been left without a purpose, which fans agree with. Bold and Beautiful viewers indicate that Remy Pryce's recent return hasn't been well-received either. His past actions towards Electra and his lack of remorse have made him a highly disliked character. Electra Forrester is another character fans wish to see less of, due to her self-absorbed and whiny conduct. Carter Walton, performed by Lawrence Saint-Victor, is also considered underused, and fans express their disappointment over the lack of screen time for him and his newlywed Daphne, played by Murielle Hilaire.  Bold and the Beautiful fans suggest that despite the critiques, loyal followers anticipate the return of Thomas Forrester, portrayed by Matthew Atkinson, and express their excitement for Wyatt Spencer, enacted by Darin Brooks. A beard really changes people - especially men. You can make a man look older, scruffier, wiser, or more suspicious. A beard does amazing things. Some wives and girlfriends can't wait for their guy to grow it. Others can't wait for him to shave it. My friend, Lou, spent much of his time clean-shaven. He also spent many of those same years as an alcoholic. They were terrible years for his wife and for his daughters. One day, Lou became so desperate he surrendered the control of his out-of-control life to Jesus Christ. From that moment on, the Savior beat that bottle that had always beaten Lou, and right about then, he started to grow a beard. He actually has had it for several years, but a couple of years ago he decided to shave it one morning. He walked out to his family, and he said, "Hey, what do you think?" His little girl started to cry. She begged her Daddy to grow his beard back. See, the old face made her think of her old Dad. She was afraid the old Dad was back. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "The Old You, Gone for Good." Our word for today from the Word of God is in 2 Corinthians 5:17. It's a promise from God to do something we could never do for ourselves. It's a miracle only He can do. Listen to this: "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" Man, what words! "New creation" not from the outside in. No, this is from the inside out, and it's what happened to Lou and it could happen to you. You've got to come to the point where you're tired of not being the man or woman, or the husband or wife, or the mom or dad that you really want to be. You know, that person that you love really needs you to change. Okay, here's my right hand on the right side of this table. This is the man I want to be - that people need for me to be. Now, here's my left hand over here on the other side of the table - this is what I actually am. I can't seem to close this gap between these two hands. That admission in itself is the first step to having a new you. Behind our mask of having it all together is a man or woman who may be addicted to selfishness, or unfaithfulness, or to lust, or to depression, or maybe we're addicted to a temper that's out of control, a sexual appetite, a habit. We've tried reforming. It hasn't worked! That's what gets us ready for Jesus. See, you're ready as this verse says, to be "In Christ." Without Him, we're in trouble. The ultimate diagnosis of our inner darkness is called sin. We've got the wrong person running things. And the Bible says, "Sin, when it is full grown gives birth to death." Sin separates us from the people we love, from the person we want to be, from the person we need to be. Worst of all, it separates us from our Creator forever, unless we are "In Christ." How do you get in Christ? John 3:16 says, "God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not die, but will have eternal life." All that faith that you've put in yourself and your religion and in other people? You take all that and you put it all in Jesus now. You say, "Jesus, I'm yours." That's the new beginning, a new dad, a new mom, a new son, a new daughter, a new mate, a new friend. Someone much stronger will be in your driver's seat. Jesus will take your life places you never dreamed it could go and daily recreate you into someone who is becoming like Jesus Himself. Why don't you make this the day that the new you begins - your new beginning day. Tell Him, "Jesus, I'm yours." In fact, our website is there to help that new beginning, it's called ANewStory.com. Check it out today and you can find, there, what you need to know to begin this relationship with Jesus. As my friend's daughter found out, a new Dad is more than just a new face. It's a transformed heart. It's a miracle only Jesus can do. And it's a miracle that Jesus is waiting to do for you right now.

The return of Thomas is met with mixed emotions, especially for Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Hope. Despite the surprise, Steffy and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) support Thomas's decision to stay in Los Angeles and continue working at Forrester Creations.  B&B spoilers suggest the tension escalates when Steffy reveals her plan to have Thomas replace Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) as the lead designer for Hope for the Future. Hope resists the change, leading to a clash between the two women, with Steffy insisting that business decisions cannot be dictated by Hope's discomfort with Thomas. Just a few short years ago, Minneapolis-based folk rock band The Last Revel may have been on its last leg. Co-founder and guitarist Lee Henke was burned out and needed a break. Fortunately, he went on the all-too-familiar journey of burned out musicians, found space, and therapy, which led him back to the band after the pandemic. Soon after, they released Dovetail, which was what he called the “happiest” record of the band's 15-year career. Now they're back with a second post-hiatus offering called Gone for Good. And no, the title doesn't infer a farewell album. In fact, the band is in as good a place as it has been after working with Trampled By Turtles frontman Dave Simonett, who produced the new offering. Henke, fellow co-founder Ryan Acker and fiddle mainstay Vinnie Donatelle all three joined us on Roots Music Rambler to talk about the ups and downs of the last five years, the new album, how the band came together and much more. Henke shared his journey away from, and back to the band, and each offered up their perspective on working with Simonett and more. Also on this episode, Frank and Falls share their picks for new music to listen to in our Pickin' the Grinnin' segment and each shares what band they would most likely be members of based on their own assessment of their personalities. When Karen Sjoblom relocated to her Midwest birthplace after her daughter left for college, she anticipated exciting possibilities. Instead, she found herself on an unexpected pilgrimage through past trauma, family fractures, and rigid generational expectations. That's when she discovered she'd have to cross through a wilderness of pain if she wanted to reach her own promised land.Mirroring the biblical Exodus in which the Israelites were delivered out of Egypt—a place familiar but enslaving—Sjoblom's reflections on her healing journey illumine the unique losses, lies, and failings we can stumble on, especially at midlife. And yet, they also point to healthier beliefs, relationships, and possibilities to carry us forward. With humor, hope, and hard-won wisdom, Gone for Goodwill help you:Understand the healing reasons for your desert seasonsTrust that God is a good guide who wants to redeem your painWalk in authentic freedom from the pain of what's been to the promise of what might beSjoblom poignantly captures the exhilaration of new beginnings, the longing for what's left behind, the grief over our wandering years, and the truths required to leave “Egypt” behind. A good God does indeed allow hard journeys, but there's redemption on the other side: renewed trust in his character, freedom from the past, and knowledge that it's never too late to embark on a soul-healing expedition. As Sjoblom demonstrates, when we stay with the lessons until the lessons are learned, God enables us to release our wounds and losses so they're gone—for good. For more information about Karen visit https://www.karensjoblom.com

Food and finances have a lot in common, like the fact that you can't abstain from interacting with either of them, whether you'd like to or not. We've all got stuff we need to do each day or week but we just don't wanna: working out, taking walks, meal prepping, getting to bed on time. The thing is, if we just don't do those things, we also pay the price (whether just not getting the results we want or suffering additional consequences) so we gotta figure out how to get them done day-after-day, week-after-week. In this episode I'm sharing a handful of strategies I use to help myself be consistent with the stuff I'd rather not do. 241. Cooking For 1-2 People with Christine Van Bloem

Cooking enough to feed a family comes with its own challenges but something a lot of people overlook is the challenges that come with cooking for just 1-2 people, especially after spending years feeding hungry kids and now having them out of the house. Today's guest, Chef Christine Van Bloem, is here today to share her best cooking tips for empty nesters or those with fewer mouths to feed who still want to enjoy their meals. Hi! I'm Christine, and I'm so excited to be cooking, writing, and helping everyone sink into to a better life. If you're looking for healthier recipes for one and two, you're in the right place. My philosophy is simple: It's a meal, not a mortgage. Real food is the most important factor in good cooking. After surviving a heart attack in 2020 and the loss of my brick & mortar cooking school business, I've found new purpose cooking for my empty nest. Post heart attack, I'm reforming my butter-loving, heavy cream worshiping ways by making changes to how I cook, taking things in a healthier direction, without doing a complete 180 and still keeping things flavorful and delightful. The key here is healthier. I'm not afraid of butter, but I'm using a touch instead of stick. A tablespoon or two of cream or half-and-half, not a cup, and so on and so forth. And now that the kids are grown and living lives on their own, I'm re-learning how to cook for two. I'm currently training in culinary nutrition with The American College of Culinary Medicine and have researched The Mediterranean Diet & Menopause for my capstone project. https://emptynestkitchen.com/ FB: @emptynestkitchen IG: @theemptynestkitchen Subscribe, rate, and review this podcast and get a copy of our Weekend Survival Guide as a thank you! Transitions are tough and can make you forget who you are. For today's guest, Kim Mosiman, retirement meant going from owning a gym and being surrounded by people motivated to improve their health, to lacking the structure and community that had helped her be successful in the first place. After getting back to a healthier version of herself, she wrote a book chronicling the steps she took so that she could help other women get back to themselves. We're chatting today about all the things: journaling, nutrition, exercise, and how to get started when you feel overwhelmed. Kim Mosiman owned a gym for many years where she met many women who believed their dreams would come true when they reached a magic number on the scale. I worked to cheer them on and help them move forward by celebrating non-scale victories. Unfortunately, I forgot to treat myself with the same love and respect after I retired. She's also a wife, mom, and grandma, and author of a new book, Reflections of Joy, which provides practical, faith-infused strategies to inspire strength, beauty, and holistic growth in every aspect of life. www.kimmosimanwellness.com https://www.facebook.com/kim.mosiman https://www.instagram.com/kim_mosiman Buy her book: https://a.co/d/fNvOFye Subscribe, rate, and review this podcast and get a copy of our Weekend Survival Guide as a thank you!
