We did a quick recording with San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz on Wednesday morning to talk about [the new Harvard study](http://www.latinorebels.com/2018/05/29/70timesdeathtoll/) which said that the death count in Puerto Rico due to Hurricane María is more than 70 times the official government number of 64 deaths, which would result in a death count of over 4,600 lives. This is a special unedited version of Latino Rebels Radio.

Mark Baird, the “unofficial” leader of the State of Jefferson movement, likes to think they’d be known for their buffalo burgers. Though, he’ll admit, he’s in the minority. Most people behind this movement, he says, would probably prefer beef. Being in the minority is a feeling he’s had for quite some time. Living in Northern California with Baird’s heavy libertarian point-of-view would likely drive most people crazy, and out of the state. But Baird wants to stay.
