The Tangent - 103: One-Handed Review Seems like everyone's week went well enough. Especially for Gary, as if any one goes down choking Gary's newly acquired CPR training should save the day. Minus the broken ribs... First up this week is Justin, and the only game he has is Stikbold. A game he played a little while back, but is on his agenda again because of our new YouTube series, Games for Two. So, you should go check that out. Brian lets us know about Batman: The Telltale Series. He just finished chapter 3 and is moving on to 4 is really enjoying the fact that they're taking liberties with the characters. Brian also ended up Redboxing For Honor. Anthony's still on his Nioh kick, and he finally got the "shitty" boss. And it's confirmed: the boss is definitely shitty. He and Gary feel it really is a Dark Souls meets For Honor type of game. Gary spends time with Rainbow 6: Siege, a game he used to play on Xbox, but is now playing on PC. Let's just say, he's being picked on and is taking it pretty hard. In his defense, he claims it's a hard game to learn. Claims... However, the last game is Chameleon Run and Stephen jumps in to talk about it. The Tangent - 95: You Look Like Roseanne's Husband It was the night before the night before Christmas and the gang get together to discuss the games that are Under Their Thumb this week. Stephen leads off with just a few more things to say about Super Mario Run. Gary also got the chance to play it this week even without getting notified. He also managed to play the title everyone was interested in hearing about... Showering With Dad. Worth every single cent of that 99 cents. Gary finishes up with talking about Outlast. A game that Anthony is quite familiar with. Moving on to Brian he's got VVVVVV on the PSVita. A perfect match. Then he tells us all about Burnout Paradise. Anthony drops in when The Last Guardian is brought up. They are both in agreement about the game. Following that is a three man discussion of Pokemon Sun & Moon. This week's episode is a Denmark special. And in order to celebrate Denmark we got the programmers of James Pond, 3D Construction Kit and the amazing International Rugby Challenge in to talk about it. Oh. Wait. We were thinking of Domark, not Denmark. Luckily our SSG booker didn't make such a mistake and, after Sandi Toksvig and Sofie Hagen refused to return our non-existent calls, we got Jacob and Simon from Gameswing on as our Super-Special Guests. They were there to talk about their new (and first) game Stikbold, which is coming out on XBox One and PC on 1st April and on PS4 a few days afterwards. We asked them about how the game developed from its early start as a Dodgeball game at the Nordic Game Jam to its expertly published current state. We also found out that we really don't like the word sunsetting, fingernails being left in the studio or not being allowed booze on trains like they are in Denmark. This is our last episode before we go to GDC (which will be podcasted) and when we return we will be ten years old, so be prepared for an anniversary special.
