Patrocinador Clinica Nativa https://clinicanativa.weebly.com

In an episode so action packed it could only be called 54, we bring you a fireside chat over Shuhei Yoshida's thoughts on PlayStation Plus and discuss our mutual love for the new and improved Cyberpunk: Edgerunners TV show. In the news, Sony's State of Play was enticing, E3 2023 gets concrete dates, Silent Hill rated in Korea, Iron Man announced by EA Motive, Deathloop expands its horizons, La Mulana director wins Konami contest, and Breath of the Wild 2: The Breatherest is coming!
With the much-hyped Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake changing developers, fans are hoping that the game will survive its problems and live to see its release. However, if it doesn't, it would be far from the biggest title to ultimately get canceled. We're joined by G to the Next Level to look at the ten video game cancelations that gamers found most disappointing. We'll also be discussing how the big Grand Theft Auto 6 leak may not be so big after all, Sega's explanation of what Sonic Frontiers' "Open Zone" concept actually means, Sony's first major PS5 redesign that will reportedly have a detachable disc drive, and the La Mulana director who won Konami's contest to revive one of its old IP.Finally, class is in session with Professor Ryebread in our Gaming History 101 segment. In this episode, we're looking at the history of the Sega Master System.Find more from G to the Next Level at linktr.ee/Gtothenextlevel We love our sponsors! There's a new Kirby game out this week, so we decided to go back to the game where he just turns into a wheel, instead of just stretching his skin over an entire car. Real talk, that new Kirby game seems fun, so maybe don't let the weirdness of the body deformity stuff turn you off - or do, it's your call. Also discussed: GPU prices are coming down, La-Mulana is still weird, and the current meme question: are there more doors or wheels in the world today? TW's gotten himself hooked on La-Mulana, the puzzle-platformer/Metroidvania where the only way to figure out the way forward is to learn, and then painstakingly document the lore. Tom, meanwhile, is full steam ahead on Yakuza 3, and looks to be on pace to clear the whole franchise by May. Mario Galaxy makes an appearance towards the end there, and we are both apprehensive about our own opinions on it. We cover 4 games in one podcast today! Technically 7, since we also talk about Yakuza, CrossCode and La-Mulana. We talk about the magic of arcades then and now, and those moments when video games make you feel super smart. And then I choke a bunch, and the podcast is over. It's a good time. It's nearly the holidays, and we're here with another episode of Pause Screen! William's still taking it easy on games with just FGO, while Kaz is immersing herself in WoW, but also had time for Bugsnax, Civ 6, and even some HotS, and Kyle has triumphed over La-Mulana, Fall Guys Season 3, Resident Evil 3 remake, and Mad Rat Dead. On the Hype Train, we talk Sephiroth in Smash, the Game Awards, Diablo Immortal's alpha, and more! We also visit the sad train with the eventful Cyberpunk 2077 launch, CDPR's PR difficulties, and we finish that up with some good ol' EA purchasing another studio. Then, to close us out, we talk about what it means to love art, whether or not it has good ratings. Come pause with us!
Matt returns to La-Mulana 2, Neil is terrified by Visage, the new consoles are out, and have you heard about Bugsnax? Music: “Sun Spots” by Chakita
La Mulana—good game, or best game ever? That's the central question in this episode focused on the epic (yes, epic) Metroidvania puzzler, the name of which is apparently not Spanish for The Mulana, despite what everyone says. We discuss its place in the genre, as well as what makes it such a singular achievement, and along the way question whether this game was somehow designed specifically for Blake. Plus, jokes about everyone's favorite weirdo Xelpud, and repeated digressions from Sean to poorly disguise the fact that he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Welcome back everyone to the JSB Games-Cast where this week the full family is back together again. We are glad to have Drew back on and joining us is returning guest Chase, Mr. Diver Down himself. This week is extremely light on the news, so the majority is filled with an extensive conversation about the games that have been played. We have talks of the Yakuza series, La Mulana, and Helltakers. Join in this week for a great look into what some of our members have really been playing. Make sure to follow us over on social media, let your friends know about us, all of that nonsense. Thank you for listening, we will talk to you next week!

Long ago... Before humanity came into existence. Two friends set out on a quest for great music. But they became lost inside the world of great video game music! It's been a very long time since we've done an entire show focused on a single game, or even a series. So here is our tribute to all things La-Mulana! La-Mulana is an ENORMOUS side-scrolling adventure game with great puzzles, huge bosses, and great puzzles! Did I mention the puzzles? Joining us this is week is Carlos from the Heroes Three podcast! After a recording break of… well, longer than we care to think about, we've returned to the realm of podcasting just in time for the world to fall apart around us. Nice. Anyhow, for the first episode of our hopefully more-consistent second try at this whole podcasting business, we got down to business and spent most of our time catching up on the games we've been playing. That consisted of the relatively hot, new-ish release Doom Eternal on Blake's front, and the relatively cold, two-console-generations-ago-ish release Mario Galaxy from Sean. Also in the mix were La Mulana, Divinity: Original Sin II, Death Stranding, Hearthstone, and some discussion about our differing feelings about exploration in video games. On today's meaty and rambling show, Marc talks about the cancellation of E3 and Reggie Fils-Aimé joining GameStop's board of directors for God knows why before diving into what they've been playing, from a game that could have used more Sega to a game that's basically Peggle meets Slay the Spire. Anyway, something-something hard and full of animal farts, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly unexciting) show. The Talking Points: Coronavirus (COVID-19), E3 2020 Cancelled, Reggie Fils-Aimé joins GameStop's board of directors, Ark: Genesis, Hidden Through Time, Roundguard, House Flipper, Call of Duty: Warzone, La-Mulana, La-Mulana 2, MX Nitro: Unleashed

Ciemna noc, delikatne światła latarni we mgle i niewielkiej postury wędrowiec o czarnych ślepiach.

We apologize for the distinct tardiness of this episode. Various brand new technical difficulties made this episode tricky. In fact, until the eleventh hour we didn't think the La Mulana discussion would be able to be in. Alas though it was and hence the episode is named in honor. This episode finds Zero guesting and discussing some Mario and a unique Playstation game that looks more like it should be on a Nintendo console. NinSage describes his struggles through La Mulana and other games he's actually enjoying. Finally, DrFinkelstein briefly mentions some Nintendo games he's been playing only to go into a rant about the Zelda Oracle series he hopes to play. [Fun Fact, by now he's beaten Seasons and on to Ages]. Then they dive into yet another Nintendo Direct discussion. These NDs happen often eh? Zero finishes the podcast with discussion of his time at ACEN this year. As per the norm, the theme music comes from Negative World's owner, Zero. The interlude music is from Pikmin. Boy, am I happy to end this week. Over the past few days, I've struggled to write, think or care about video games. I've struggled to really do anything. Surely I'm not alone. What an awful week. What an absolutely awful week. And yet, some really amazing things have happened this week. Like this and this and this. Many people are really stepping up. So this weekend I hope you will join me in doing what we love: playing games. And I also hope you'll lend a hand. You could donate blood or money or anything. It's been an awful week, but I believe we can help to make next week better. That's all. This week's Besties doesn't talk about "this week." We tried to focus on the good, which has been the unspoken goal of the show since its creation. I hope you enjoy it. Let's talk about some video games. 4:30 - Best Nintendo Direct 14:30 - Best way to remind yourself how difficult Dishonored was (The Knife of Dunwall DLC) 21:30 - Half time - The recently canceled Ready for Love 25:45 - The best example that in-app purchasing will bring the end of the world (Dungeon Hunter 4) 31:00 - Best reason to throw a controller though a PC monitor (La Mulana) 39:00 - The winner is... PETER! You didn’t tell them about…the RUMBLE PAK, DID YOU? Sadly, we were unable to secure VHS tapes to record for RSS subscribers, but we do have another massive-length episode of Nintendo Free Radio for you featuring Stephen; Austen; and Donald (what do you MEAN there used to be another guy?) rambling about their latest misadventures in the world of video gaming. This time, Austen kicks off New Business bear-ly scratching the surface of Atlus/Arc System Work’s new fighting game: Persona 4 Arena, a home console game that un-bear-ably displays controller commands with Fight Stick inputs for some thread-bear reason. Afterwards, it’s time to party like it’s 1985 with the PSN’s latest rhythm game, Retro/Grade, ending (appropriately enough) with initial impressions of the Wii’s swan song, Mistwalker’s The Last Story. Have the creators of Final Fantasy finally created a JRPG without a terrible opening Act, or have they lost that odyssey? Donald then steps up on stage to discuss pacing and Classic Controller Pro issues with Sega/NIS America’s Wii Tactical Strategy Dating Sim Sakura Wars: So Long My Love; his experience on the Terrain of Testament playing (we think?) the PlayStation 2’s Fire Pro Wrestling Returns; and his battle against Spiral Power in the PlayStation Portable Mini Sasume Tactics! Switching things up, Stephen renders his verdict on the WayForward 3DS (and soon to be Wii U) puzzle platformer Mighty Switch Force. Does the game do justice to Nintendo’s latest handheld, or should the developers have been booked for negligence? Wrapping things up, Stephen then recounts how the pacing and analog stick controls aren’t such a snap in the Virtual Console’s Nintendo 64 Pokemon game, as well as the historical turn-based strategy game Civilization V on the PC. Following New Business, we activate the interlocks and connect the Dyna-therms for another installment of What Are We Watching (cheesy 80s theme song optional). Everything old is new again as Austen discusses his newest anime Blu Ray acquisitions in the wonderful The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and the bizarre (but well-constructed) first season of Shakugan no Shana. Meanwhile, Donald describes the culinary misadventures of Gordon Ramsay in MasterChef and Hotel Hell. Finally, Ceric delivers a techno-babble double-whammy in Star Trek: Voyager and the Voltron: Defender of the Universe sequel series with an-already legendarily terrible opening theme: Voltron Force. Afterwards in the Feature Discussion, with the final issue of Nintendo Power on the horizon the 3 of us sit around the camp fire and ramble for nearly an hour about our memories of the beloved magazine; our thoughts on the publication’s closure; and the future of Nintendo’s marketing in the Internet age. We then once again conclude the show with our “1Ups” and “Poison Mushrooms”, including such topics as the 2013 World Pokemon Championships in Vancouver; the surprisingly-strong year of downloadable titles (little did we know La-Mulana would get announced for North American WiiWare shortly thereafter); the industry’s frustrating practice of creating underwhelming countdown web sites; and…adventures in house cleaning and storage bins? We’d love to hear your thoughts on this and past episodes, so feel free to drop us a comment in the Talkback thread or on our website. Be sure to send in your Listener Mail as well, and (time permitting) we’ll read and discuss it on an upcoming show! You’re also welcome to talk with us and other fine (and often eccentric) folks over at the Nintendo World Report Forums! Finally, now that we’re finally on iTunes, please don’t forget to rate us there. We’ll see you in a few weeks, but until then we hope you enjoy the show! This podcast was edited by Stephen Shook. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the NES, 8-4 invites retro gaming legend Kevin "tsr" Gifford, founder of tsr's NES archive and keeper of the world's largest collection of obscure game knowledge, to take us back (back... back...) to the 80s to talk about the birth of the era's most popular 8-Bit system. But before that, listen to round-ups of the recent Level-5 and Grasshopper events in Japan, thoughts on Costume Quest, Vanquish, Limbo, La Mulana, and Game Dev Story, and the sad tale of Mr. Gifford's epic attempt to clear the Tower of Druaga on a single coin...
