Welcome back to Punching Up! Nintendo is remaining tight lipped at the moment, but we're still getting a trickle of new smaller things from the company, some that are a bit confusing. Why is Nintendo releasing a new Joycon charger this late in the game? Also, there's a new Super Mario World Lego set that looks really awesome. The cast is also playing a slew of games on the Switch. Gene is back at Dark Souls Remastered, Micah is hitting the trail with Oregon Trail and I (Dustin) am competing to be the champion of Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition. Please enjoy!

If you're wrong I'm giving the other people an opportunity to guess. If everyone's wrong I'll keep reading until someone else yells out. “Trivia Card” Check out the Price Is Retro Database at Retrologic.games, we'll be having Flightsy on an episode coming up to talk PiR stats! Show Topic Topic: 2022, the year of tactics. Advance Wars: Re-Boot Camp Triangle Strategy Mario VS Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Metal Slug Tactics Front Mission 1st Dune Spice Wars twodollarhero — My love for the criminally underrated Codename STEAM is well documented at this point, but I'm constantly thinking about how good Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was. Every time it comes up in conversation, it's like a fever dream. That concept had no business being that good of a strategy game. the Well-Red Mage — FF Tactics, somedays my all-time favorite Final Fantasy ❤️ Fight Crab Fanatic — Jeanne D'Arc for the PSP was really good (and unforgiving) Mystaria Realms of Lore for the Sega Saturn oops — Tactics ogre and final fantasy tactics (my favorite game of all time)are the goats but a very underrated game I really enjoyed was arc the lad twilight of spirits on ps2. ElPeeDee (Liam D) — the Fire Emblem and Advance Wars GBA games are favorites of mine since I played them on my SP in the back of my college Economics classes (woops). in the broader strategy sense, i spent a lot of time playing the Command & Conquer series over the years and just started playing through Warcraft 2 again. I love base building and planning out offensives Flightsy — Does Pikmin count? I don't really play tactics games, but they've always seemed interesting. Actually, this leads into a CCQ of my own! What are some good Strategy and Tactics games I could try out? solo_something — FE 3 houses. Love how it's tactics and some drops of rpg running around the grounds as I complete quest, reunite missing items, and take time for a cup of tea; sometimes from what I planted. Also, helping a girl realize she doesn't have to stay locked up in her room. SpiderShan — I have the most experience with Fire Emblem games which I first picked up on a whim on GameCube (Path of Radiance). Since then I've played nearly all the English released games in the series. I don't mind the newer games like Three Houses, but I miss the older ones without the dating/marrying/kids stuff. My favorite strategy game is probably the original FF:Tactics. The GBA sequel was okay but I wasn't crazy about the Law mechanics which bogged down the battles. I really want to get into Triangle Strategy one of these days! Community Couch Questions Flightsy — CCQ: How do you find good retro stores near you? I've tried looking it up and only stuff like Game stop and Disc Replay seems to come up. Fight Crab Fanatic — If you had to collect a niche of retro games what would you pick? (example: WWII games, Wrestling games, The DS Imagine Babysitters series) oops — 03/19/2022 What's a game you missed when it was new then revisited later and you could not believe how good it was? The Nintendo Entertainment Podcast is here, and with E3 2021 literally days away, and the guys are literally chomping at the bit to go and be there (virtually) to hear everything that is coming out this year and next! But first, the guys talk about what they have been playing. Todd has been enjoying Ace Attorney, Saints Row The Third, and had an interesting run in summoning for Fire Emblem Heroes! Will meanwhile has been enjoying Fall Guys and working hard on Ring Fit Adventure! Tyler has been enjoying the games he's been able to play, and also thinks Ring Fit Adventure might be in his future! Then, in the news, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle 2 may be coming, Monster Hunter Stories 2 gets a new story trailer, Poketoons returns with a beautiful new story, WarioWare might be getting a Switch title, and more! Finally, on the FINAL Road To E3, the guys break out the Draft for the THIRD TIME THIS YEAR and make their hard predictions on what they feel is going to be revealed at E3 2021 by Nintendo (and its affiliates in the exclusive sense). What games do they think will be shown? Do they think the Switch Pro will FINALLY come? Or is there something else they think will show up? We break it all down! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast!
Sep 24 2017 Steph Curry was invited to be on the podcast but he said no, so the guys at Drunk-Nerds withdrew his invitation, so Gables and Tyler bring in Justin in his place to talk about all things video games. This week the nerds discussed: Gables played Pokemon Gold Tyler beat Destiny 2 Justin beat Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle and started Metroid Samus Returns DOOM details for the Nintendo Switch Iwata tribute built into the Nintendo Switch PUBG upset with FortNite's new Battle Royale mode --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/drunknerdspodcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drunknerdspodcast/support
The Nintendo Entertainment Podcast is here and this one could help with your stock portfolio! Maybe. First up, the guys talk about their gaming experiences, Todd has grown sour about Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. Will can't help but love Yakukza Like a Dragon and Hades, Tyler learns the proper name of the game he played last week, and more! Then, in the news, is there FINALLY a tease of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle 2? Is the Sonic voice actor leaving? What was going on behind the scenes of Astral Chain as it was getting made? G4TV has announced the return of both X-Play and Attack of the Show and both Todd and Will are excited! Plus, we break down the insanity of the GameStop stock situation, and yeah...it's a doozy. Finally, in our main event, the guys become stock brokers and decide what Nintendo Stocks you need to buy into in regards to their franchises! Mario, Legend of Zelda, Smash Bros, Pokemon, Star Fox are all put to the test! And Todd does a Jim Cramer impersonation, you've been warned! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast!
We’re coming at you this week with some banter about renting the theater to watch The Thing (1982) and talk about Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Maniac Mansion for the NES. We dig in to some of the new features of the PS5 user interface and discuss the Microsoft / GameStop digital sales deal plus Andrew gives first impressions of the Oculus Quest 2 and we talk Genshin Impact, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, The Collage Atlas and Katana Zero.
As 2017 and its new releases begin to wind down, Henry Gilbert rejoins us to start this week's show with a topic that we somehow didn't think to do until a listener suggested it: video games that your character can play within larger video games. (We went for original ones, too, so don't be disappointed if your Yakuzas or Animal Crossings don't make an appearance.) We then flop over to the Mega Man 11 reveal, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle's Versus mode, Mario's new cereal, and the exclusive games you'd want Nintendo to steal for the Switch.
