In this week's episode, Magnus wraps up his discussion about the Legion Five Years Later for the time being by talking about Legion Of Super-Heroes #12. Well. Most of Legion #12, anyway. Not quite all of it. As of this moment, Magnus is very close to the halfway point of the Five Years Later issues that will be discussed. Because, well, once you get too far beyond Legion #24, the whole Five Years Later concept really starts to unravel. Every good idea is usually accompanied by at least two bad ideas. Anyway. So what more is there to say? Start listening now before your old friends from your adolescence show up on your doorstep with matching leather jackets wanting to get the band back together.

In this week's adventure, Magnus continues the trek through the Five Years Later era with Legion Of Super-Heroes #11. And here it is we find out more about goings on with Brek, the alleged pizza parlor putsch and his eventual imprisonment. No feedback this week, boys and girls. Because Magnus was starving after finishing up the main discussion about the comic. But not to worry, feedback will resume next week. So what are you waiting for? Start listening now before Tenzil has to defend you in court.

In this week's adventure, Roxxas finally makes his move against the Legion. And things get pretty ugly. Once that's all over, Magnus stretches open the ol' mail sack, nice and wide, to wade through the pathetic attempt at paying tribute offered by a bunch of plebes. So what more do you want? Start listening right now before Roxxas teleports you to a different galaxy in the distant past.

In this week's adventure, the return to Legion Five Years Later continues, with Legion Of Super-Heroes vol. 04 #09. In the Glorithverse, a lot of blanks need to be filled in. And one huge mystery starts getting solved right here in Legion #08 as readers are treated to Laurel's backstory. Honestly, that's all you should need. Start listening now before the Khunds make their move. Side Note: It might be necessary to download this episode directly from the link. The reason for that is because the TTF website and feed have been experiencing significant technical difficulties. We are working to correct these issues right now.

In this week's adventure, Magnus goes back to the Legion Five Years Later by taking a nice long look back at Legion Of Super-Heroes #08. Specifically, a retelling of how the Legion first formed from Marla's point of view. What more do you need? Start listening right now before Doyle Brand hires some hitmen to go looking for you.

Today Chris (@acecomics) talks about something very near and dear to his... err, no, actually he talks about one of his intentional comic book "blind spots" in the Legion of Super-Heroes. We also discuss the concept and currency of "information"... why we want it, how we get it... and how not having it might lead to unpleasant and embarrassing situations! Do you have any intentional comic book "blind spots"? Daunting families of titles you've long ignored rather than digging your heels in and learning about? In this week's adventure, Magnus Lad concludes his trek through the Five Years Later era with Legion Of Super-Heroes #07. Well, concludes it for the time being, at least. As a series, this iteration of the Legion hasn't really been defined by explosive action sequences. But it would be fair to say that this issue features a ton of action, fights, explosions and all that good stuff. But newcomers will also see first hand why Rokk is awesome as he fights the real battle in this issue using only words. So what more do you want? Get to listening immediately or else Mordru transforms you into a functioning toilet or something.

In this week's adventure, INTO THE GLORITHVERSE! Yes indeedy, the retcons are over (for now) as Magnus Lad continues his trek through the Five Years Later era with Legion Of Super-Heroes #06. Among other things, this issue gives us the first appearance of Laurel Gand. Or it's the return of Laurel Gand, from a certain point of view. Either way, we'll be seeing more of her later. The first splash page of the entire series up to now can also be found here. All this and more in today's futuristic episode! So what are you waiting for? Start listening now before Laurel decides to beat the snot out of you.

In this week's adventure, INTO THE MORDRUVERSE! Yes indeedy, Magnus Lad continues his trek through the Legion Of Super-Heroes Five Years Later era. You see, boys and girls, your humble host has been podcasting for quite a few years now. Quite a few years, indeed. And never once has he ever fallen asleep while recording. Until this episode, that is. Listen close and see if you can spot the fateful moment. And be thankful that he was only talking about comics rather than driving a car, operating heavy farm machinery or voting.

Let's not bury the lead here, boys and girls. In this week's adventure, Magnus Lad can only look on in shock as Mon-El, like, literally punches reality. There's some behind the scenes baloney that goes into this story point. But the long and the short of it is that the Legion Of Super-Heroes as readers had known them went bye-bye in this issue. And arguably, they've never been seen again. Arguably. From a certain point of view. Either way, big doings are happening in Legion Of Super-Heroes #04 and it's time we started talking about them.

Two episodes in one week? Yes indeed! The Legion lovefest continues as Magnus pores over every single panel of Legion Of Super-Heroes v4 #03, absorbing every last nerdy detail that The Giff threw in.

In this week's futuristic adventure, Magnus Lad attempts to satisfy his man-crush on The Giff with a long look back at Legion Of Super-Heroes #02. The Five Years Later period is most probably the most sadly underrated era of the Legion's entire history. And that's a real shame because any one of these 5YL issues has more spark, energy and creativity than some entire runs of modern comics. So crank up the synthwave and let's get our 80's on!

Today we welcome Oxford Kondo (http://twitter.com/oxford_kondo) to discuss whether it's racist for Game of Thrones to be so white, and on the flipside the trend of casting minorities to play white characters, including racebending (changing traditionally white characters to black, or even using nonwhite actors to play white historical figures in biopics). Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes Vol. 1. Superheroes in Star Trek? Star Trek has attempted a number of ambitious crossovers in the comic world in recent years. The universes of Doctor Who, Planet of the Apes, and Green Lantern have all been visited by our intrepid Starfleet heroes. These are always a fun diversion from the main storylines of the comics, giving a whole new meaning to exploring “strange new worlds.” In this episode of Literary Treks hosts Matthew Rushing and Dan Gunther are joined by Legion hero Bruce Gibson to talk about Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes Vol. 1. We discuss our familiarity with the Legion of Superheroes, bridging the universes, immortal issues, trapped in a purple orb, characterization, art and our ratings. In the news segment we look inside the new travel guide to Vulcan and discuss the latest issues of New Visions and Manifest Destiny.
