Today's episode is a deep dive with writer James Robinson, recorded back in 2011 during a fascinating stretch of his DC Comics career. We cover a lot of ground—from his return to one of his most beloved characters in The Shade, spinning off from the Starman mythos, to the behind-the-scenes realities and editorial limitations that shaped his Justice League of America run.Robinson opens up about his creative choices during the Flashpoint event, particularly his darker take on The Outsider, and how the Superman stand-in Mon-El came to headline the Superman books during a major story pivot. We also talk about the launch of the New 52, and his reimagining of the Justice Society of America and Earth-2, showing how he brought fresh perspective to classic Golden Age characters under a new editorial mandate. Throughout the conversation, James shares his passion for DC's B- and C-list heroes—characters like Solomon Grundy, Donna Troy, and Congorilla—and how he always strived to give them depth and relevance. And for fans of comics history, there's a charming detour into his childhood in England, and how kids in the '70s got their hands on American superhero books across the pond. It's a candid, passionate, and sometimes frustrating look at what it means to write in a shared universe—and what it takes to elevate the characters that don't always get the spotlight.

Hey Girls and Boys, Lads and Lasses, the biggest superhero team on any Earth, The Legion of Super-Heroes, tangles with the villainous Time Trapper as he turns their former ally Superboy against them. It's an ambitious story in the post-Crisis world that serves as a template for DC storytelling to this day. We discuss this all with Legion super-fan and "DC Book of Lists" author Randall Lotowycz!Ep. 94 What If the Time Trapper created a pocket universe to turn Superboy against the Legion of Super-Heroes?With Special Guest author and editor Randall LotowyczEarth of an unknown designation as seen in the Superman & Legion of Super-Heroes crossoverThe Legion of Super-Heroes can seem intimidating with their 20+ members from the traditional members like Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Mon-El to the wacky powered beings like Matter Eating Lad, Shrinking Violet, and Bouncing Boy, which is why we break down this team from the 60s through their major turning point post crisis in the 1980s. We travel through a multi issue arc constructed by major architects Paul Levitz and John Byrne that sees the Legion and Superman battle their old friend Superboy in a pocket universe, all controlled by the mysterious cloaked Time Trapper. We also discuss Time Trapper co-creator and Weird Tales writer Edmund Hamilton and how we are still seeing the reverberations of this story in DC's current multiverse and alternate Earth storytelling on film and TV - including the upcoming Flash film from 2023 and more! Finally, we speculate what's next for the Time Trapper and whether Marvel's Kang stole his onscreen...time. Zeno Robinson ('Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons', 'Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero', 'Transformers: Earthspark') returns to the DC Animated Universe as the Invisible Kid in ‘Legion of Super-Heroes‘. In this go around the ‘Legion of Super-Heroes‘ is not quite as polished as we have been accustom to seeing in the comics and the Invisible Kid, along with Supergirl (voiced by Meg Donnelly) and Mon-El (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) are members of the ‘Legion of Super-Heroes‘ Academy. It takes awhile for Invisible Kid to also turn his clothes invisible but he eventually manages to do so as they fight off a time traveling terrorist organization hellbent on bringing order to the universe by any means necessary. Robinson spoke with us about why the ‘Legion of Super-Heroes‘ is significant to modern storytelling even if we reach into the future and that the idea of dystopian or utopian are not will be so long as we remain hopeful. October 1963 w: Jerry Siegel a: Curt Swan "Jimmy is taking part in a televised showcase of has many adventures, focusing particularly on the formula that turns him into Elastic Lad, and his various other transformations over the years. His special is suddenly interrupted by an alien creature calling itself the Collector who kidnaps Jimmy with it's scientific devices. Jimmy finds himself transported to an alien world where the Collector hopes to make a collection of all the various incarnations of Jimmy Olsen. Rooting Jimmy to the group (by literally turning his feet into tree roots) the Collector keeps Superman at bay as well and apparently brings forth the giant monster Jimmy, the wolfman Jimmy, porcupine Jimmy and fat Jimmy before the real Jimmy. These alternate versions of him terrorize him before they themselves are rooted into the ground. Before the Collector can do anything else Jimmy suddenly pulls the microphone that's been attached to him since the TV interview, and throws it at the Collector scaring the creature, thus proving to Jimmy that it's a ruse. Jimmy had deduced that the "Collector" is really Mon-El in disguise (due to his reaction to the microphone which was made with some lead parts which used to be a weakness for Mon-El) and that the other "Jimmy's" are really other members of the Legion of Super-Heroes (who are revealed to be Colossal Boy, Chameleon Boy and his new pet Proty II, Cosmic Boy, and Bouncing Boy.) Jimmy learns that this was all planned by the Legion and Superman as an initiation for Jimmy, who is taken to the 30th Century where he is awarded an honorary membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes." - via DC Wikia Adventure Comics #315 The Legionnaires' Super-Contest! December 1963 w: Edmond Hamilton a: John Forte "While the Legion of Super-Heroes is attending a law enforcement convention, the Legion the Substitute Heroes fills in for them while they are absent. The Substitutes save a rocket from crashing, their deed is seen by Superboy's x-ray vision. With their existence revealed to the Legion of Super-Heroes, the Legion recognizes them as rejected Legion applicants and the Legion decides to give them another opportunity to apply for membership. Each Substitute is sent on a different mission with various members of the Legion of Super-Heroes, and use their talents to help solve each mission. Returning from their missions, each Substitute member has their performance graded. Stone Boy ends up getting the highest score and is offered membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes, however, enjoying his membership in the Substitutes, Stone Boy declines membership to remain with his friends in the Legion of Substitute Heroes." - via DC Wikia LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES: THE SILVER AGE OMNIBUS Originally introduced in 1958, the Legion of Super-Heroes is a team of super-powered teenagers from the disparate worlds of the 30th century's United Planets. The rest of the female members are hunted down by a mysterious masked villain named Satan Girl, who seems to be infecting the female Legionnaires with the virus. With the arrival of Supergirl, who is immune to the virus, the male Legion members try to learn the origins of Satan Girl. The Super-Pets manage to easily defeat Satan Girl, who is unmasked, revealing that she is really -- Supergirl!? The weakened Satan Girl explains that she is the product of Red Kryptonite, which Supergirl was exposed to upon entering the 30th Century. Knowing that she had only 48 hours of life, she adopted the guise of Satan Girl and created a device that would siphon the Red Kryptonite radiation and infect females with it, in hopes that once she had rid herself of the Red Kryptonite energies she could live past the 48 hour period which Red Kryptonite effects. With her plan a failure, and the 48 hours running their course, Satan Girl merges with Supergirl. After wards, the Legion learns that Satan Girl managed to handle Green Kryptonite because she wore a lead suit. After this revelation, although they are victorious and their female members restored to normal, the Legion takes a moment to feel pity for Satan Girl, for all she wanted to do was live. - via DC Wikia Adventure Comics #314 The Super-Villains Of All Ages! The Legion stumbles upon Alaktor's plot and try to stop him across different periods. However, Alaktor manages to avoid capture while recruiting Nero, John Dillinger, and Adolf Hitler from history and bring them to the 30th Century. With a mind swap device, Alaktor manages to switch the minds of Hitler, Dillinger, and Nero into the bodies of Superboy, Mon-El and Ultra-Boy. The three then turn against Alaktor and decide to commit crimes across the universe for their own gain. The Legion tries to stop them, but in the bodies of their near indestructible friends, this proves to the easier said than done. However, the evil and opportunistic natures of Hitler, Dillinger and Nero get the better of them and all three knock each other out using the weaknesses their stolen super-bodies are vulnerable too. This allows the Legion to gather them up, and restore their friends minds back into their own bodies, return the historical figures to their own times and undo the damage they had done in the 30th Century. - via DC Wikia

Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday May 27th, 2017. As submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. There were 6 new episodes this week, including 3 finales and one penultimate episode. Gotham - Penguin and Riddler worked together to escape the Court of Owls prison and agreed not to kill each other for 6 hours. The Shaman finally trained Bruce to hide his mom's pearls in a safe and become the perfect weapon. Selena attacked Evil Bruce, revealing the truth to Alfred. Evil Bruce whipped them both and ran. Selina refused to help Alfred find real Bruce. After a dangerous run-in with an ax-handed, bomb-dropping Barnes, Jim and Harvey finally brought in Kathryn, let Alfred beat her up, and watched her get decapitated by Barnes, after he turned the precinct into Fury Road. Barnes was finally taken down until he escaped. Lucius pieced together a crystal owl and discovered it was a map of the Court's plan. Last Minute Reveal: In the middle of all this everyone failed to notice Lee being consumed with sorrow for Mario's death and hatred for Jim (probably because all the boys kept her out of the loop). Before they could realize it, Lee stole the Tetch virus and injected herself with it!   Lucifer Penultimate Episode - Charlotte gave money to a guy claiming to have the missing piece of the Flaming Sword of Eden. The guy took the money into a backroom and was murdered. Lucifer maneuvered Chloe to take the case. It was pretty obvious that the killer was Chet, the wannabe rockstar son of a Drug Queen. Lucifer and Charlotte were able to recover what they paid for: the key to a safe-deposit box that contained a Sumerian text. Chet tried killing Charlotte, but a cut caused light to shoot out of Charlotte and roast Chet's face off. Maz tried to get Luci to help stop Dr. Linda from getting suspended for last episode's antics. Luci only made it worse when he slipped that he slept with Linda. Last Minute Reveal: After reading the text Amenadiel and Lucifer learned the third piece of the sword was a key given to God's favorite son. Amenadiel jealously thought it referred to Lucifer until his necklace began to be drawn to the sword!    Supergirl Season 2 Finale - Kara had to knock out Superman to snap him out of a silver Kryptonite trance. J'onn woke up from his coma. Kara challenged Rhea to a one-on-one fight for all the marbles. James defended Cat Grant, who immediately recognized him as the Guardian. Clark and J'onn defended the city with help from M'Gann who swung over from Mars. Kara was forced to activate a weapon that Lena converted to make Earth's atmosphere toxic to all Daxamites. The fallout disintegrated Rhea and the Daxamites bounced but Mon-El was also forced to leave Earth. During the celebration, Alex proposed to Maggie. Kara felt down, got some encouragement from Cat, and we saw her fly straight into the air at full speed as Mon-El's ship entered a wormhole. Last Minute Reveal: 35 years ago, on the day Krypton died, another baby was placed in a small spacecraft by a woman who touched the child with a drop of blood and declared that when the baby reached Earth, it would reign!   The Flash Season 3 Finale - Iris was alive! HR used his transmogrifier to take her place. Savitar kidnapped Cisco, forcing him to modify the bazooka into a quantum splicer that would help Savitar avoid being erased from time. Barry tried offering Savitar an olive branch, but it didn't work out. Instead of saving Savitar, Cisco's splicer freed Jay Garrick from the speed force. In the final showdown, Barry vibrated Savitar out of his suit, leaving him to be swallowed by the Paradox. Julian offered Caitlin a cure but she decided instead to walk the Earth. Just when it seemed like Iris and Barry could start planning their wedding, the Speed Force reigned a storm that threatened to destroy Central City unless Barry served penance for his transgressions from this season. Last Minute Reveal: Barry said his goodbyes to the team, kissed Iris, and joined the vision of his Mom in the breach. After he disappeared the storm faded away!   iZombie - Harley Johns posted his zombie attack video and received mixed reactions. A Fillmore Graves helicopter exploded and Vivian Stoll was killed. Liv pan-fried the brain of a daredevil who burned to death after riding a bike through a ring of fire wearing a hay costume. Turns out one of his producers sabotaged the suit's flame retardant after the prankster knocked up his girlfriend. Liv shared the brain with Justin and they had their first kiss, but Justin got in trouble for stealing Super Max from work. Angus came up with a brilliant business strategy to take advantage of the Zombie outbreak. Blaine ruined that by leaving Angus to rot at the bottom of a well with cement shoes, and taking over his businesses. Last Minute Reveal: Liv put on some spray tan and hair dye and tried sneaking into a zombie haters meeting with Ravi, but she had to leave when she saw Harley Johns taking people's blood pressure at the door!   Arrow Season 5 Finale – 5 years ago, Oliver fought and killed Kovar, was rescued by fisherman, and called his mom. In the present, Oliver enlisted help from Merlyn, Nyssa al-Ghul, and Deathstroke to infiltrate Lian Yu. Felicity, Curtis, Thea, and Samantha were freed. Malcolm sacrificed himself to save Thea from a land mine. Oliver and Deathstroke rescued Diggle, Quentin, Rene, and Dinah. Final matchups included Nyssa vs. Talia and Quentin vs. Black Siren. Felicity and Curtis discovered that the getaway plane had been disabled and the whole island was rigged with C-4 set to blow once Adrian Chase died. Ollie tracked Chase to a fishing boat and once off the coast, Chase revealed William, making Oliver choose between saving his son or all his friends. Ollie shot Chase in the leg and saved William. Last Minute Reveal: Just when it looked as though Chase had finally been defeated, the bastard pulled out a revolver and shot himself, causing the whole island to explode. Is all of Team Arrow dead?!

Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday May 20th, 2017. IAs submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. Six new episodes, three of them were penultimate. So many bombshells. So much excitement: Gotham: The Court of Owls broke Captain Barnes out of Arkham Asylum and Dr. Hugo Strange used his blood to make Tetch virus airborne. Kathryn tested Jim by having him watch the gas be released on a small group of innocents. With some help from Oswald and Firefly, Jim took down a Talon and saved the day. The Court later captured Oswald and caged him in a cell next to Ed. Lee continued pursuing her vendetta against Jim, and ended up resigning from GCPD. The Shaman taught Bruce to channel his pain and let go of his rage. Ivy found Selina in a coma and turned her hospital room into a greenhouse. The plants woke Selina up, and she was off to Wayne Manor. Last Minute Reveal: Kathryn wanted Jim killed and Barnes broke through his bonds ready to perform an execution!   Lucifer: Chloe and Lucifer investigated the murder of an orderly at a psych ward. One of the patients claimed to be God and Lucifer learned he might not have been lying. Chloe took a Doctor on a weird double date with Maze and Amenadiel and embarrassed herself asking for help with the case. Lucifer checked himself into the psych ward, broke out Dad, and tried pulling a parent trap with him and Charlotte. Chloe broke up the fun. Turns out the killer was a nurse. After losing his belt buckle, God remembered he wasn't God. Luci and Amenadiel figured out the buckle was a missing piece of the Flaming Sword of Eden that offered divine enlightenment. Charlotte drowned her sorrows in Dave. Last Minute Reveal: Lucifer showed the guy who wasn't his Dad to a taxi and became determined to return to heaven and punish his real father!    Supergirl: Penultimate Episode - Rhea planned to enslave the Earth, proclaim it New Daxam, and force Mon-El and Lena to get hitched. After an Air Force One attack, President Marsden revealed herself to be an alien refugee and ordered Alex to break into the DEO and destroy Rhea's ship with a positron cannon. Cat Grant returned, reminded us why she is the most dynamic character on the show, inspired Kara to go after Rhea, and with help from Winn, inspired all of National City to fight back against the Daxamites. Lillian Luthor and Cyborg Superman helped Kara rescue Lena and Mon-El but pulled a double-cross. When Alex learned Kara was still aboard Rhea's ship, she hesitated and the positron cannon was destroyed. Last Minute Reveal: Rhea stepped aside and let Kara get punched out… by Superman!   The Flash: Penultimate Episode - Barry traveled into the past and brought back Captain Cold to help him break into ARGUS, neutralize King Shark, and take the Dominators' Crystal. The mission was a success (sort of), and Captain Cold returned to the past, advising Barry not to play by Savitar's rules. Tracey continued her romance with HR. Joe and Wally tried hiding with Iris on Earth 2, but Savitar tricked HR into revealing their location. Savitar crippled Wally and snatched Iris. Cisco got vibes of Killer Frost and finally met her in the forest for a final showdown. Barry confronted Savitar on Infantino Street and tried using the Speed Force bazooka but it did not work, and Savitar drew his blade to kill Iris. Last Minute Reveal: As Barry ran, we saw a video message from Iris to Barry reciting her wedding vows. Barry failed to save Iris and held her body in his arms!   iZOMBIE: Liv went “Red” and nearly choked out Blaine but believed he didn't steal the cure. Liv rolled up preschool teacher brains with PB&J and became extremely friendly and encouraging. Turns out the teacher was banging three of his students' moms and was killed by one of their hubbies. Blaine was feeling down until Don stole his brain business and left him, shot in the gut. One of Peyton's cases was blown up by attorney Harry Thorne and the next day the defendant hung himself. Peyton asked Ravi to blue-soak the brain for answers. Major and Justin discovered the Scratching Post. Justin went on a sort-of-date with Liv. Major and Justin tracked down Harley Johns and confronted him on a dark road at night. Last Minute Reveal: Harley ran over Justin, who went “Red”, chased down Harley and jumped on the hood of his car, before getting thrown. Harley took a video of Justin's attack and now has proof Zombies exist!   ARROW: Penultimate Episode – 5 years ago, Kovar injected Oliver with a serum that caused him to feel extreme pain and hallucinate his past failures. A vision of Laurel convinced him not to kill himself. In the present, the team threw Ollie a surprise birthday party. Then one-by-one Adrian Chase had each teammate kidnapped by Talia al-Ghul's army, including Evelyn and Black Siren. Turns out Wild Dog didn't abandon his daughter after all. Quentin met Black Siren and it took time for him to realize she wasn't Laurel. Malcolm Merlyn showed up to help. Oliver learned that his son, William, had also been snatched, tried stopping Chase, but ultimately had to let him escape. Nyssa al-Ghul joined Oliver's cause. Oliver tracked Chase to his old island and set out to rescue his friends. Last Minute Reveal: Oliver entered the ARGUS submarine prison and asked Deathstroke for help!

Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday May 13th, 2017. As submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. 6 new episodes, only 7 and a half minutes! Almost all of our shows are in the home stretch now. Big reveals were dropped and storylines began to converge. Gotham: The Court of Owls covered up Uncle Frank's suicide and Kathryn asked Jim to prove his loyalty. Lee became suspicious of Jim after examining Frank's body. Babs told Ed she learned of a secret group running Gotham and Ed kidnapped the Mayor to try and find out. With some help from Tabitha, Jim convinced Ed to let the Mayor go and delivered Ed to the Court. Oswald and Ivy recruited Mr. Freeze and Firefly to join Pengy's crusade. Evil Bruce was having nosebleeds and Kathryn admitted to him that he's dying.  Evil Bruce then tracked down Selina and told her the truth. Selina told him he could never be a hero like real Bruce, was thrown through a window and surrounded by street cats. Last Minute Reveal: Kathryn introduced Jim to the Court and he put on an owl mask as their newest member!   Lucifer: Chloe and Lucifer investigated the murder of a private school admissions officer. Luci took Trixie along for recon and almost got her enrolled at the school. Chloe was happy Trixie opened up about her fears. Maze and Chloe crashed a parents gathering at the school and learned the murderer was a parent who slept with the gym teacher (I mean health and wellness mentor). Charlotte kept trying to scare and anger Lucifer into lighting the Flaming Sword of Eden. Lucifer spent the episode trying to learn to control his emotions and had a breakthrough when Dr. Laura got him to channel his pain. Unfortunately he was only able to light the sword for a brief moment. Charlotte was devastated but Amenadiel believed Luci just needs time. Last Minute Reveal: Charlotte stepped into the elevator, removed a bandage from her wrist and glowing light shot out of her wound! She is dying!    Supergirl: James was feeling guilty that the people he saved feared the Guardian. A shift in the atmosphere caused an alien woman's telekinetic powers to go out of control. The woman went into hiding but James found her son, Marcus, and bonded with him by talking about losing his dad and dealing with bullies. Marcus brought James and Winn to his mom and dozens of other aliens affected by the shift. With encouragement from James, Marcus was able to help everyone get control of their powers. The atmospheric shift was tracked to the trans-matter portal that Lena was building for Rhea. Kara, J'onn, and Mon-El confronted Rhea but got their asses kicked. The portal opened and a fleet of Daxamite ships came pouring in. Last Minute Reveal: Rhea teleported away with Mon-El and Lena as the skies of National City were swarmed by Daxamite ships!   The Flash: Turns out Savitar is a time remnant of Barry, who was abandoned by team Flash and committed himself to destroying Barry's life. To handicap Savitar, Barry let Cisco and Julian try to disable his short-term memory. Instead they accidentally wiped his entire memory. Barry screwed up court testimony, letting Heat Monger get released, but made Iris happy to see him so care-free and unburdened. When Savitar lost his memory too, Caitlin ran over to STAR Labs and helped fix Barry's brain. After Iris helped jumpstart his memory, Barry stopped Heat Monger from burning down an office building. The team begged Caitlin to stay, but she preferred the Killer Frost life. Meanwhile, Tracey continued her research and she and HR fell for each other. Last Minute Reveal: Tracey finished building the Speed Force bazooka, but the only energy source strong enough to power it is the Dominators' mind-control crystal, which is being protected by King Shark!   iZombie: Liv ate the brain of a hot mess who was offed by her neat freak roommate. After taking the cure, Major reveled in tasting food again, but slowly started to lose his memories, and got on a bus to Walla Walla to visit family. A rich guy offered Don a million bucks for a zombie cure. Don asked Ravi but got a no. Blaine and Peyton started living the happy couple's life, but when Blaine learned that Major took the cure, he admitted that his amnesia only lasted a few days and he has been lying for months. Ravi's cure works! Major regained his memories the moment he saw his mom. Liv was ecstatic but Ravi's office was ransacked and the cure was stolen. Last Minute Reveal: Major had to admit to Liv that he gave away the emergency dose of the cure Ravi gave him!   Arrow: Five years ago, Anatoly and Oliver arrived back on the island and planned Ollie's rescue and return home. The DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday April 1st 2017, featuring recaps for Supergirl, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, Powerless, as submitted by Edward O'Hare (nickname To Be Determined): Supergirl: Someone put a contract out on Supergirl and alien bounty hunters started attacking Kara. Turns out Mon-El's mom, Rhea, put out the bounty. After Rhea attacked Kara with a Kryptonite sword, Mon-El agreed to rejoin the fam in exchange for Kara's safety. J'onn warned Kara and the gang not to go after Mon-El because President Marsdin said so. The team said “screw that”, used a Stargate (I mean… teleportal gate thingy) Winn souped up to attempt a rescue mission, and Mon-El's dad, Lar Gand, realized Earth makes Mon-El happy and let him go. Alex and Maggie bumped into one of Maggie's ex-girlfriends and Alex spent the whole episode forcing Maggie to re-open old relationship wounds. By the by, President Marsdin is actually an alien. Last Minute Reveal: Rhea stabbed Lar Gand in the heart and she is not done with planet Earth!   The Flash: Abra Kadabra was running around Central City stealing from tech companies. Gypsy came hungry to take down Magic Boy for killing her former partner. After being captured, Abra Kadabra offered info on how to defeat Savitar in exchange for freedom. Caitlin took some shrapnel to the stomach, and rather than using her Frost powers to heal, she stayed awake and talked Julian through surgery removing the shrapnel. Barry decided to let Gypsy take Ab Kabs away instead of getting the dish on Savitar. Cisco and Gypsy are not so hot an item anymore. HR was away with a new girlfriend all episode. Barry thinks he can learn how to beat Savitar by running to the future. Last Minute Reveal: Caitlin went into cardiac arrest and died! Julian removed her anti-meta necklace and she woke up, but now she's gone full Killer Frost!   DC's Legends of Tomorrow: It's Doomworld! The Legion of Doom controlled the world and all the Legends were scattered around with their minds wiped, working crummy jobs. Heat Wave was bored of constantly winning, saved Steel from getting killed for figuring out the truth, and used a multiplexer gun the Atom invented to restore all the Legends memories except for Dr. Stein. The Reverse Flash made Dr. Stein create a generator that could destroy the Spear of Destiny. The Legends and the other LoD members all tried to stop Reverse Flash from destroying the Spear but ultimately failed. The Legends now want to try a do-over in World War I. Rip was drunk, baking cakes on the Waverider until Gideon helped him figure out a way to send a distress signal. Last Minute Reveal: The Waverider is a small model ship on Reverse Flash's desk in STAR Labs!   Arrow: Five years ago, Anatoli convinced Oliver to pull a heist for pharmaceuticals to help a hospital before he left Russia for good. In the present, Ollie packed up HQ, told the team to get out, and hired Anatoli and the Bratva to kill Adrian Chase. Diggle wasn't having any of it, kept the team together, and slowly wore down Oliver until he decided to take up the good fight again. Ollie led the team on a mission to stop the Bratva from stealing drugs and Anatoli felt betrayed. Felicity continued working with Helix, and with a huge assist from Mister Terrific, she was able to decrypt video proof Adrian Chase is Prometheus. Last Minute Reveal: Chase killed the Feds protecting him, stole their car and drove right past the SCPD squad cars coming to arrest him!   Powerless: Crimson Fox announced that she was leaving Charm City and taking her talents to Metropolis (adjacent). Emily signed herself and Jackie up for a self-defense class. Jackie blew off the class because she was driving for Uber to get some extra cash to pay for her daughter's school trip, which Emily found out was bogus when she tried to give money to the teacher. Jackie was furious, but after Jack O'Lantern destroyed her car, she admitted that she's taking MBA classes and would still be Emily's friend as long as she turns the volume down on her excitement. Van interrogated everyone trying to figure out who used his private bathroom and left a magazine behind. Turns out no one used the bathroom. Jackie used the magazine to swat a bee that caused Van to squeal and hide. Last Minute Reveal: There was hours of footage showing everyone at the office using Van's bathroom but Peter the janitor deleted it all because Van kept calling him Pedro!

Afterward, Superboy suddenly snaps again and is about to throw Krypto into space along the path of a Kryptonite meteor, however he snaps out of it again. Before Superboy can learn the source of his uncharacteristic behavior, he receives a call from the Legion of Super-Heroes. Going to the designated meeting place, Superboy meets with Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad who have come to Earth to get Superboy's aid updating their records of which Kryptonian criminals had been banished to the Phantom Zone before Krypton's destruction. As Superboy is showing the Legion, Mon-El suddenly appears and warns Superboy that the Legion plans on betraying him and freeing the Phantom Zone criminals. The Legion members then suddenly blast Superboy with special Kryptonite rings that incapacitate the boy of Steel. It's revealed that the Legion are under the control of the Brain Globes of Rambat, who seek to conquer the Earth, but saw Superboy as their only obstacle. With Superboy defeated, and not considering the Legion members as a threat, the Brain Globes free the Legion and prepare for their conquest. Realizing that the globes had no effect on Krypto prompt the Legion to travel through time and collect Comet the Super-horse, Streaky the Super-cat, and Beppo the Super-monkey to form the Legion of Super-Pets. There she is told by Fred Danvers that the sheriff is about to blow up the tree stump which hides the secret exit to their home which Supergirl uses to leave unseen. Supergirl rushes off to prevent the entrance from being seen. Returning home once more she gets a signal from the Legion of Super-Heroes to visit them in the 30th Century. At first she wonders why the Legion called her because they all appear to be busy doing other things, however she strangely finds them at the Legion's headquarters. The Legion quickly have her board their ship to go out into space to stop the Positive Man. Supergirl succeeds in doing so by attracting a negative creature from space to cause the two to explode. Returning to Earth, the Legion members find that their super-powers no longer work, and in order to avoid a crime spree, Supergirl with the help of Whizzy (the future descendant of her super-cat Streaky) help make it appear as though the Legion still has their super-powers by helping them out behind the scenes. However, this is all a trick, and the "Legion" members are really members of the Chameleon men, alien shape changers who are posing as the Legion. With Supergirl's guard down, they use a Phantom Zone projector to shunt both Supergirl and Whizzy into the Phantom Zone. Using Whizzy's telepathic abilities, they gain the aid of the owner of an android factory they had saved earlier to send in an android resembling the Chameleon Men to enter the Legion base and free Supergirl and Whizzy. Supergirl then quickly defeats the Chameleon Men, trapping them in a transparent dome, and freeing the other Legion members. The device works, however when Supergirl tries to throw the Kryptonite into space she scares off Krypto. burying the Kryptonite on a distant planet and returning home, Supergirl's force field device is damaged by a meteor and Lori is unable to repair it. When Supergirl returns to the orphanage as Linda Lee, the girls tease her when she is forced to lie to them and tell them she has no boyfriend, when in reality she has two admirers in both Brainiac 5, and Jerro. - via DC Wikia Superboy #89 Superboy's Big Brother June 1961 Writer: Robert Bernstein Artist: George Papp While out with Ma and Pa Kent, Clark notices a rocket crashing to Earth. Investigating it as Superboy, the Boy of Steel is shocked to find an occupant inside that has a star chart and a medallion around his neck from Jor-El, his own father, about his apparent son. Believing that this person is a previously unknown and long lost brother, Superboy is disappointed to find that the occupant has amnesia. Taking him in with the Kents, they decide to name him Mon-El, based partially on the day of the week he landed on Earth (Monday) and on Kryptonian names. Pa Kent also sets Mon-El up with a civilian guise of Bob Cobb so that Mon-El can assume a civilian life in Smallville, as a brush salesman. However, Superboy beings to get suspicious of Mon-El's true nature, and begins to doubt his origins when he realizes the buckle on Mon-El's belt is not made of any Kryptonian metal, and Krypto doesn't recognize Mon-El. As a final test, Superboy tries to expose Mon-El to Kryptonite as the boy sleeps and is shocked that it has no effect. The next day, after Mon-El tries to show up Clark for Lana Lang's affections, Superboy decides to trick Mon-El into "revealing" himself by orchestrating a Kryptonite meteor hoax while they're playing. To do so, Superboy paints lead meteors to resemble Kryptonite and throws them into space so that they land on Earth at the right time. Superboy is shocked to find that Mon-El is effected by the lead meteors just as Superboy would have been effected by real Kryptonite. This causes Mon-El's memories to return, and he reveals that his real name is Lar Grand, who was from the planet Daxam, and landed on Krypton just before it's destruction and befriended Jor-El before departing the planet, and that the crash really did cause him to have amnesia. As lead being the Daxarian's weakness, Mon-El is about to die, however Superboy comes up with a solution to save Mon-El's life, by sending him to the Phantom Zone until he can find a cure for Mon-El's lead poisoning. - via DC Wikia
