Singing and performing since since age 9. Started first doing small local talent shows. In my late teen to young adult ages started joining and performing in local vocal/dance groups. First prominent one being Flayre which was signed to record producer Tony Rose and his Solid Platinum Records. He was known for his work with Maurice Starr of New Edition and New Kids On The Block fame. Years later joined another group called Raw Vibez. That group put out a local single called Take Me Away on the Mona Lisa/Bristol Studios compilation tape. Years later once moved to Houston started doing my solo stuff. Country artist, Mindy Miller, grew up in the small town of Kismet, KS, and began singing at her church at the tender age of five. Throughout her childhood and teenage years, she also performed at functions for the Liberal, KS International Pancake Days and local Lion's Club. Along with singing in the school choirs and show choirs, she performed in all the musicals in high school and college. She began singing competitively at age fifteen, appearing in state-wide televised telethons and hosting pageants. Mindy also received the honor of opening for Diamond Rio, Ty Herndon, Tracy Lawrence, David Kersh, Terri Clark, and John Berry at her local state fairs. Along with developing her singing, Mindy learned to play the piano and began writing music. She graduated from Liberal High School in 1995. Then, furthered her education with an Associate's Degree at Hutchinson Community College and graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor's Degree, all the while continuing her singing career throughout her studies.During college, Mindy began touring around central Kansas with a band and eventually made it to Nashville to record her first demo album in 1999, with current producer, Curt Ryle. At 22, she signed with an independent country music label and went on to be nominated for the American Horizon Award and Best Female Singer of the Year at the 1999 Independent CMA Germany Awards. She was also featured in the May 1999 edition of “Country Music People” magazine. In 2000, Mindy recorded her second album entitled “Perfectly” again with Ryle. When her mother fell ill to cancer in 2000, Mindy wasn't able to continue to fulfill her obligations with the label. Her record deal was dissolved.Mindy took a break from music to focus on her personal life and to deal with the death of her mother in 2003. However, in 2010, she was presented with an opportunity to record a demo album in Nashville, again with producer, Ryle. Mindy was signed with Tate Music Group in 2012 and debuted her first album. In 2014, she signed with Margdon Records, Nashville, and will soon release her 2nd full length album, “Let it Burn.”Mindy currently resides in Minnesota and continues to serve as a member of the worship team at her church.
