This week, Laurie returns from a dangerous trip to Dallas while Rory takes mushrooms and films bees. Rory makes Laurie jealous by guesting on other podcasts but fears the terrible situation she wound up in on a plane. Plus, Laurie is being tracked by the state of New York after behaving like an under-socialized animal. Tina Fey & Amy Poehler promised no politics at the Golden Globes last night. Then they opened the show with another infantilizing lecture about "Diversity!"

We tried to get Tina Fey & Amy Poehler as guests to discuss the final season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and the new Netflix Original Russian Doll. Unfortunately, our people did not receive a response from their people.

We ate too much over the holidays, and we were a bit sluggish in getting this week's SATURDAY NIGHT LOVE out. It's a week late, but we hope this episode was worth the weight! Tina Fey & Amy Poehler shared hosting duties this time around for a fun mix of Christmas skits, political skits, and weird Taylor Swift parodies that we don't understand.
Jeffrey Hagerman is an on-set colorist and camera technician/operator working on everything from major Hollywood blockbusters to high end commercials. He assists in creating the look for world renowned cinematographers such as Spielberg’s DP Janusz Kaminski. His credit list is quite impressive and includes the newly released Tina Fey/Amy Poehler comedy Sisters, Marvel’s Daredevil, Philomena, Victoria Secret Campaigns, Olympics Telecast and much more. The list is long and eclectic, an opportunity made possible by the genre agnostic nature and universal need for on-set color and data management. I first met Jeffrey on indie film sets in New York City 5 years ago. At the time he was dialing in his technical expertise but had yet to join the union. It has been quite the experience watching him join the union and catapult from indie features to major summer blockbusters. Sitting down and chatting about these rather abrupt changes in his life proved interesting and totally on point for the larger Art vs. Commerce discussion. Hearing him talk through the decisions he’s made along the way, and the general risk involved, made for an intriguing and thought provoking hour.
Well hello there! It's time for a very special episode of A Force to Remember. Now that Episode VII's been release, Shannon and I dusted off this old miniseries and gave it another go, going over The Force Awakens with an extended hot take review. Then, in keeping with tradition, we pair the discussion with a review for another movie, the new Tina Fey/Amy Poehler vehicle, Sisters. Did we find Kylo Ren and the First Order as endearing and hilarious as the Ellis Sisters of Orlando? You'll have to listen in to find out! Also, as a general warning, we go heavy into Star Wars spoilers, so tread carefully if you haven't seen the movie yet. And be sure to come back on Friday when the whole BOP crew gets in on some Star Wars action, along with special guest Scott Thompson!
Actor and activist Heather Matarazzo ("Welcome to the Dollhouse," "The L Word," "The Princess Diaries," the upcoming Tina Fey/Amy Poehler comedy "Sisters") visits the studio to chat with Christopher and Eric and answer questions from the Party People. An episode of "Book Talk," broadcast live from Persnickety College, goes embarrassingly awry. And a brand-new advertiser debuts: Who's Cheated?, the board game designed for the person who doesn't actually want to play a board game but still wants their family to think they're participating!
