Clay Tryan and Jake Long just needed a clean run to win the $50,000-a-man RodeoHouston title at last out in the Super Series Championship Shootout, and they were, of course, the men for the job. The flag fell in 6.4 seconds, putting Tryan and Long atop the PRCA's World Standings for the first time in their three years roping together—a spot they don't look to relinquish any time soon. Partners since the 2019 Finals, this is the first time Tryan and Long sit atop the PRCA world standings together, Tryan with $65,921 and Long the identical sum. Tryan and Long are $18,216 ahead of reigning world champs Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira who split third at RodeoHouston and walked away with $28,500.The Score host Chelsea Shaffer called each guy on their drive home from the rodeo to talk all things Houston and find out what this means for their regular seasons. December  3, 2020 The 62nd Annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo kicked off Thursday, December 3, 2020 in Arlington,Texas, with great talent representing Indian Country.  Our contingency is lead by 2017 World Champion, Navajo, Erich Rogers whom is joined by 2X top 15 qualifier, Cherokee, Brenten Hall, both in Team Roping as headers.  Saddle Bronc Riders, two Cheyenne River Sioux, Defending Indian World Champion, Cole Elshere and a Heart Ranch sponsored rookie at the WNFR, Shorty Garrett, whom is #4 in the World Standings.  A new event for the Wrangler NFR is Ladies breakaway Roping with Navajo Nation's Carrie Bahe #1 in the World, with her sister Annie Bahe qualifying in the top 15. First Nations of Canada and Native American also provide some of the best in pro rodeo bucking horses and bulls. Navajo, Erich Rogers and Texan, Paden Bray win Round 1 and $26,230.77 for their 4.8 second effort. We have results and interviews for the first of 10 rounds in an event sanctioned by the Profession Rodeo Cowboys Association. Navajo Derrick Begay won the team roping round three of 10 at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. The win earned him over $26,000 and moved him up to sixth in the World Standings in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The 60th Annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo continues through Saturday December 15th, 2018 when world champions will be crowned. We have results and interviews with Derrick Begay and Isaac Deas after victories in the city of lights.
