It has been a WHILE since the Dazzler, the great Englishman Bob joined Ryan in the inner sanctum, but he's back for his fifth and final appearance to get real sing-songy, but not real lyrical with Graham Nash & David Crosby. Barb-Barb-Barb, Barb-Barbara Ann is here for her farewell appearance, alongside Ryan for CSNY's aptly-titled, So Far. There are deep ruminations on generational wisdom, the inability for folky protest music to quite hit like other genres, and the LITERAL MELTING of the pubescent brain. Shawlonzo Mourning makes his final appearance alongside the Lil' Sand Scorpion for the 58th edition of the program, commemorating 58 years of friendship and the Dirty Ps' Lamp Lit Prose. They do some 69 Vinyl Records All-Stars brainstorming, play Cornfusion, and Ryan challenges Shawn to appear sometime in the final episodes. Will he make it?! Recorded May 17, 2020.

Please don't ruin this for me, listener! It's Anna's (at least) tenth appearance in one capacity or another on the pod, and she and Ryan are here to dive into the world of Tennis's Yours Conditionally. Guess who's back? It's Lester the Nightfly, AKA Cousin of the Pod, AKA Matt, for his fourth and farewell appearance. We wish the whole episode could be about Ramblin' Rod (and Chuck E. Cheese and the Pizza Time Players' pizza-themed Funkytown cover), but ultimately they do spend QUITE some time discussing The Beach Boys' Smile. Ryan invents an incredibly simple game for this episode called Adieu or Die - will it be as grueling as Matt/Ryan games of episodes past?

Wow - at this point, canonically, Luke and Snowy have only one Steely Dan record that they've already talked about! What a ride it's going to be! This week's Monday phone call revolves around Aja, quite possibly Ryan's fav SD album. Fulfilling the promise of episode 7, the boys recite some of their favorite segments from the one Aja documentary, which you can find on Youtube.
