The Boston Marathon is considered by many to be the best and most prestigious race in the world. As the 2025 Marathon swiftly approaches we decided to bring you 3 runners who have competed in many Boston's. Lori "World Class" Kinglsey finished 1st American and 2nd overall in the Women's Master's Division in 2010.She has won numerous races including the Wine Glass Marathon and multiple USA TITLES.Gary "The Great" Ferguson ran many marathons including Boston x7, NYC, Big Sur, Pikes Peek, Desert Island, etc. He not only walked across Pennsylvania and Connecticut he also has completed 100 milers, 2 day, 3 day, 6 day and even 10 day races. This man is Fast! He ran his first Marathon in 2:26. His accomplishments don't stop there. Casey Ellis was an extremely successful collegiate runner who has since won the Run for the Diamonds (an over 100 year old race in Berwick, Pennsylvania) along with his most recent accomplishment of breaking a 44 year old course record. Casey has run a 1:05 1/2 Marathon and now has set a goal to run the Marathon in the US Olympic Trials."The first 19 miles went great and then I didn't fuel enough and it went down hill real quick!"- Casey Ellis Great job Casey! IMAGINE you are restfully sleeping in beautiful Orlando Florida when all of a sudden you are woken up at 2:30am. It's your wake up call and you have to run a 5k. Ok...not too bad right? No...that is just the beginning because you have the same wake up call the next morning and now you have to run a 10K. Alright finally some rest. Nope! Morning #3 same wake up call and now it's a 1/2 Marathon. That's it right? There can't be more. Day # 4 Ring Ring 2:30am, it's the coup de grace, the FULL MARATHON. YES...that is the DOPEY CHALLENGE, 4 days, 4 races and 48.6 miles. Mrs. Tanya Carpenter is a mother, a wife, a teacher, a marathoner and a Dopey Challenge Finisher. Hey Guys!Maverick here!I finally ran a 10 mile race (The Wyoming Valley Run). It was the most I have run in a single day in 17 years. I must say that although there were times when my legs said this isn't worth it and times the cramps made me want to walk off the course I knew it would be worth it to press on and persevere. My co-host and best friend Wolfman kept me positive. Comments like, "You got this Mav!" lifted me just enough to run a little more and a little more. Thank you Wolfman for the inspiration, motivation, and random stories that made me laugh.
