Happy New Year, everyone! I'm back with one last bonus episode of The Eat for Endurance Podcast, this time with a behind-the-scenes look at what it's actually like to work with a sports dietitian.I walk through how I work with athletes inside my private practice, from start to finish. I discuss who 1:1 nutrition coaching is best for, how long athletes typically work with me, what my approach looks like, the kinds of changes I often see when athletes get the right support in place, and so much more.I also share an overview of my monthly membership, Fuel for Life Crew, which is designed for athletes who want nutrition guidance, education, and community without full 1:1 coaching. This episode is meant to be informative, not a sales pitch. It answers the most common questions I get about my services so you can decide if working with a sports dietitian makes sense for you!
Send us a textTravis of The Holy Rebellion joins us in remembering Jeffrey R. Holland and the impact he had in so many lives. Elder Jeffrey R. Holland was a beloved apostle and senior leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known for his powerful testimony of Jesus Christ, his teaching ability, and his lifelong commitment to strengthening the faith of Latter-day Saints. He was born December 3, 1940, in St. George, Utah, and early in life served a full-time mission in Great Britain, an experience that shaped his devotion to missionary work and discipleship. Before full-time Church service, Elder Holland was deeply involved in Church education. He earned degrees in English and religious education from Brigham Young University and a master's and Ph.D. from Yale University. He served as Dean of Religious Education, Church Commissioner of Education, and as the ninth president of BYU, where he emphasized gospel learning and helped expand educational opportunities. In April 1989, he was called as a General Authority Seventy. A few years later, on June 23, 1994, he was ordained a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, one of the highest governing bodies of the Church, charged with being a special witness of Jesus Christ to the world. As an apostle, Elder Holland's ministry touched many globally. He frequently spoke at General Conference, sharing heartfelt sermons on Christ's love, the power of the Atonement, and the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. In 2025, he spoke about the evidence of God's works and testified of the Book of Mormon's impact as a spiritual guide. newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.orgElder Holland was set apart as President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on October 14, 2025, a role in LDS Church governance that places him next in line to lead the Church under its established order of succession when the Church president passes. Throughout his service, members remembered him for his steadfast testimony of the Savior, his ability to lift the weary with compassionate words, and his unwavering devotion to gospel principles. His life and teachings have been a source of encouragement and dedication for countless Latter-day Saints around the world. Send us a textMost people treat relationships and partnerships like 1 + 1 = 2—two individuals simply adding each other to life. But there's a better formula: 1 + 1 = 11.In this episode of Mindset Café, we break down the metaphor that a great relationship doesn't make you shrink, dilute yourself, or lose your identity. You stay a “1,” your partner stays a “1,” and together you become “11”—a stronger, higher-standard force than either of you alone. We talk about public persona vs private reality, why “0.5 + 0.5 = 1” relationships create resentment, how complementary strengths create real synergy, and the habits and standards that turn love, friendship, and business partnerships into something that actually multiplies your life.Support the showThanks for listening & being part of the Mindset Cafe Community.----------------------------------------------Connect With Devan:https://www.devangonzalez.com/connect----------------------------------------------Follow On Instagram https://www.instagram.com/devan.gonzalez/https://www.instagram.com/mindsetcafepodcastLet me know what topics or questions you want covered so we can help you achieve your goals faster.

Send us a textThey said a run-first team couldn't survive December. We invited Strasburg assistant coach Jason Gutierrez to show exactly how a clear identity, punishing practices, and a connected community turned doubt into a state championship. We dig into the heart of culture: why Strasburg keeps practices more physical than games, how “good on good” reps build muscle memory, and why a simple, repeatable plan beats trendy schemes under pressure. Jason breaks down their run-heavy philosophy—34 passes all season, 10–15 yards a carry—and why the goal isn't balance for balance's sake; it's doing what works when the stadium shakes and the stakes rise. When the title game opened 12–0 against them, nobody flinched. That calm came from months of deliberate habits. We also explore the foundation beneath the trophy. A true feeder pipeline gives kids the same language from youth to varsity, so they think less and play faster. Tough non-district scheduling forged resilience through real tests—Skyline, Broadway, Turner Ashby—so the playoffs felt familiar. On recruiting, Jason gets practical about smaller-school realities: how highlight reels, emails, camps, and relationships matter more than classification. Add staff experience from the college ranks, and players gain a roadmap to be seen.Beyond football, there's a message for any team facing setbacks: next man up is a plan, not a slogan. Turn last year's pain into this year's focus. Keep the playbook clear, the practices demanding, and the standards loud enough for the whole town to hear. If you believe culture wins, this conversation will arm you with specifics you can use tomorrow.Enjoy the show? Send us a textBarber-shop energy meets hard truths in a fast-moving hour that starts with local pride and ends with a call to do better by our own. We run the scoreboard on Martinsburg's title chase and Strasburg's route through the bracket, then flip to Handley's stacked roster, the rotations that could make or break a state run, and why depth now means legs in March. It's candid, unapologetic, and full of names you'll see on scoreboards this winter. The mood shifts when we ask why Kettle Run keeps owning the area. The answer isn't magic—culture, discipline, and physicality. We talk honestly about building standards that last, not highlight reels that fade. That same lens frames our shoutout to Steven Daly, leading the nation in tackles for loss and earning Big Ten praise. He's proof that local work can reach national stages, and a reminder to support athletes before the headlines, not after. Then we face a tougher headline. Two National Guard members were ambushed near the White House—one with local ties—and our town barely blinked. We challenge the silence and ask what it says about our priorities. From there, we unpack digital ID concerns, privacy stakes, and how easy convenience can compromise agency. We don't tell you what to think; we ask you to think for yourself. To close, we kick around Giannis trade rumors, what a true superstar means to the Knicks or Lakers, and how playoff math shapes the Cowboys, Eagles, Indiana, JMU, and Virginia. The throughline never changes: preparation, culture, and courage—on the field and off—decide who we are. If you're here for real talk about the teams you love and the people who make this community, you're in the right place. If this hit you—share it, subscribe on YouTube, and drop a comment with your state picks or your take on the Guard story. This is our 2025 wrap episode. If 2025 had a soundtrack, it would be pressure: pressure on systems, on people, on animals, on land.Heat. Drought. Fire. Flood. Repeating across regions and headlines. But this year we also paid attention to what doesn't always make the news. We spent time in real conversations with farmers testing new practices in their fields, scientists challenging outdated models, investors reassessing what risk really means, and builders putting regenerative ideas into practice. Online and in person, we saw regeneration moving from theory into action. As 2025 comes to a close, the picture is still complex but clearer. The evidence is growing. Regeneration works, and the path forward is becoming more defined. Tune in to listen to what 2025 inside regenerative food and agriculture taught us.More about this episode.==========================In Investing in Regenerative Agriculture and Food podcast show we talk to the pioneers in the regenerative food and agriculture space to learn more on how to put our money to work to regenerate soil, people, local communities and ecosystems while making an appropriate and fair return. Send us a textResolutions don't fail because people dream too big, they fail because we don't break them down into small goals we can accomplish every day. We're back from a packed meet season with a clear plan for 2026, a fresh 705 deadlift on the books for Nate, and a blueprint you can use to turn ambition into action without burning out.We start with the whirlwind: hosting and coaching across Alabama, Tampa, Crestview, and Navarre, plus the chaos of life with Toby and his dementia. Then we dig into what that 705 pull really taught us how long-term goals demand patience, how missteps become data, and why changing the target isn't quitting. From there, we map out a big team trip to PLU Nationals in San Antonio this May: choosing the right federation, organizing roles so lifters compete while teammates support, and building a meet-day system that runs smooth even while we both step on the platform. The heart of this episode is a practical guide to goals that stick. For lifters, we show how to reverse-engineer a total by assigning realistic squat, bench, and deadlift checkpoints. For weight loss and physique, we talk about progress photos, habit tracking, and making five-pound milestones your best friend. We share two anchors that carry you through plateaus: consistency over perfection and the courage to act when motivation dips. Small actions compound into momentum; momentum sustains motivation. We close with our own 2026 targets tune in to find out Nate and Liz's individual goals. This sermon exploring Psalm 145 characterizes the season of Advent as a spiritual journey that culminates in a lifestyle of thanksgiving. The speaker outlines a biblical framework where gratitude is a direct response to God's nature as great, good, and faithful, rather than a reaction to personal circumstances. By examining how God initiates grace through protection and provision, the text argues that true worship requires active confession and testimony. The message concludes by challenging listeners to transition from passive spectators of grace to active participants through praise, witness, and generosity. Ultimately, the source presents thanksgiving not as a fleeting emotion, but as a disciplined way of life that carries believers into the new year.Support the showThanks for listening! Astral Trap & Kiandre of the experimental rap duo Quismah join the podcast live from the Kush Mountain vendor day at Diamond Greens Dispensary off S. 12th street. Sean Brooks co-hosts with me and we hit the pavement running in this funny, kush mountain laced episode that touches on the origins of Quismah, how they came together and the entire recording process and how they feed off each other's creativity to make your listening as smooth as possible. When listening, it sounds as though they've been making music together for years. Truth is, they've been friends since the sandbox but just recently began this current music project together in this last summer. Kiandre talks about a stint in the film industry in LA and that opened his eyes to how the music industry works and Astral Trap speaks on his recent successes such as having numerous beats purchased and played by the NBA on their Instagram posts which is a major win for Astral Trap. Just a funny & Stoney episode where we are just shooting the shit like regular humans about basic, every day topics. Tune in. LIKEITORNOT

Send us a textThe Christmas Truce of 1914 happened during World War I along the Western Front, when British and German soldiers paused fighting on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. What began with simple gestures—singing carols, shouting holiday greetings across trenches, and placing candles on trees—turned into something remarkable as troops cautiously came out into “no man's land.” Instead of bullets, they shared food, exchanged small gifts, showed pictures of family, and even played friendly soccer matches. They also used the moment to bury their dead with dignity and mourn together. It wasn't ordered by generals or governments; it was an act of simple human decency from ordinary soldiers tired of violence. Though the war soon resumed and such truces were discouraged afterward, the event stands as a powerful reminder that even in the darkest times, people can choose peace, compassion, and brotherhood.Support the Show!www.patreon.com/SaintsintheSouth(The thoughts, ideas, and beliefs we express on this channel do not officially represent The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This Christmas sermon explores the profound hope found in Jesus Christ as the light that penetrates a world of pain and moral darkness. Drawing from the ancient prophecies of Isaiah and Psalm 110, the text highlights how the Messiah was foretold as both a sovereign King and a compassionate High Priest long before his birth. The speaker emphasizes that while humans often reach for insufficient comforts during times of crisis, Christ serves as a "sunrise" that offers a complete perspective on life's difficulties. By stepping down from his heavenly throne to experience human suffering, Jesus became an intercessor who sympathizes with our weaknesses and offers unmerited forgiveness. Ultimately, the source serves as an invitation to rely on this divine authority to navigate the complexities and "dark woods" of the human experience.Support the showThanks for listening! Send us a textReady to scale beyond flips and small rentals into commercial real estate without stepping on landmines? We sit down with investor and educator Becky Lambert to unpack the blueprint: how to pick the right markets, structure safer debt, and build durable cash flow with tenants who actually stay. Becky has 16 years in commercial under her belt and breaks down the core framework with clarity—what NOI really tells you, how DSCR protects your downside, and why a 1% shift in cap rate can swing a valuation by millions. We dig into the hidden systems that make or break deals: boilers, elevators, roofs, and power capacity. If you've ever inherited an old building and found out the hard way what “inspection missed” means, you'll appreciate the playbook for due diligence that buys leverage at the negotiating table. Becky shares how to curate tenant mixes that pull traffic—think surgeons, PT, pharmacies, and synergistic retail near hospitals—and why staggering lease expirations matters more than squeezing the last dollar on day one. We also explore counter-cyclical assets like storage, the trade-offs in specialized warehouses, and how ground leases and cell towers can add surprising income streams. For those itching to jump in, Becky explains why joining a syndication is a smart first step to learn IRR, equity multiple, and lender relationships from inside the deal. From selecting a market with real growth drivers to designing leases with escalations and creditworthy tenants, this episode gives you a clear path to move up the ladder without gambling your portfolio. If the numbers tell the truth, learn to listen—and let your strategy match what the market actually wants.Enjoyed the conversation? How do you make legumes great again? This is not a political episode. It's about something far more urgent: giving legumes the role they truly deserve in our food system. Together with Andres Jara, co-founder of Favamole, we explore what it really takes to build a regenerative food brand in the middle of today's industrial food landscape. What if a simple, delicious sauce could change crop rotations, farmer income, and your weekly lunch? With Andres we explore how a chef-turned-butcher-turned-farmer built Favamole: a fresh, clean-label legume spread that tastes great, pays growers fairly, and can scale without losing its soul. How do you play the game while sharing shelf space with giant food companies, big retail, massive processors, and catering empires? And more importantly: how do you scale fast, influence as many hectares as possible, and not lose your regenerative soul along the way? We dive into regenerative business models, flavour as a lever for change, regenerative finance, scale, money, and impact, all while walking on the stunning, sunny, and very cold fields of Jeroen and Mellany Klompe. We dive into the origin story—why a guacamole “alternative” wasn't enough—and how redefining “mole” as its own category unlocked flavor, pricing, and brand freedom. What if the health of your relationship depends less on finding the “right person” and more on becoming your truest self? That's the lens we bring to a frank, generous conversation with conscious relationship coach, intuitive guide, and author LaShawn McCrary. We explore why inner work is the starting line for aligned love, how to tell compatibility from true alignment, and what it takes to build a relationship where both partners feel safe enough to be fully seen.We also highlight LaShawn's two books. I Am Not An Option is a call to own your truth in dating—if you want marriage, say it, and let misaligned partners pass. Before We Go Any Further is a pre‑engagement workbook that guides couples through the conversations most skip: division of labor with kids, money expectations, boundaries around social media, conflict styles, and long‑term goals. You'll leave with questions that protect your future, language for asking your partner for what you need, and a compass for building agreements instead of assumptions. If this resonates, share it with someone you care about, hit follow to get new episodes, and leave a quick review telling us one hard conversation you're ready to have. As the Solstice light returns, a new energy begins to move through the Earth — and through each of us. In this episode, Laurie guides listeners through the sacred days between the Winter Solstice and the New Year, when the world is hushed and the veil between cycles thins. This is the time of integration — when light enters the body, the heart recalibrates, and the soul begins to prepare for what's to come.Laurie explains what happens energetically after the Solstice — how the lightbody absorbs and translates higher frequencies, and why it's essential to rest, reflect, and allow these energies to settle. She shares how the Sacred Pause between endings and beginnings is not emptiness, but a womb of creation, where the seeds of the new year are quietly taking root.Discover: • The process of lightbody recalibration after powerful downloads • The metaphysical meaning of the “void” between cycles • The importance of stillness and self-care between Solstice and New Year • How forgiveness and reflection prepare the soul for new creation • Simple ways to hold and ground the returning light — through breath, gratitude, and nature connectionLaurie offers a gentle guided meditation to help you enter the stillness with peace and trust. Let this episode remind you that integration is transformation — that in the sacred pause, you are becoming the vessel of new light for the year ahead. Late November Laurie started What If Wednesday which is a weekly pause to shift your perspective and open your energy to possibility. Each “what if” invites you into deeper clarity, healing, and awareness — a gentle doorway into the version of you that's emerging or perhaps a reminder of who you have always been.
