A fight can start over something tiny and still leave you feeling wrecked for days. That's the moment we all get tempted to push harder, talk faster, and force a solution right now. I brought on marriage counselor, therapist, and author Raffi Bilek to slow that whole cycle down and replace it with a communication process that actually works when emotions are high.Raffi shares the LOVE method for active listening and empathic dialogue. We talk about why explaining, reassuring, or rushing to fix it often makes things worse, and how you can feel connected even when you never agree on the facts. Then we bring these same relationship skills into sex and intimacy, including a gentle way to start by talking about talking so you can lower shame, defensiveness, and fear of rejection. If you want better conflict resolution, deeper intimacy, and fewer circular fights, hit play. Send us Fan MailWe are making something official that's been true for years: Liz is the Head Powerlifting Coach at Fortis Powerlifting. She's the one writing our base team powerlifting programming, building the meet-day spreadsheets, and creating the backend systems that let us handle multiple athletes across flights and still make smart decisions under pressure. We talk through how Liz actually grew into the role, starting with her first powerlifting meet back in 2018 and the moment she got obsessed with the why behind strength training. Her background as a teacher shaped the way she programs and coaches: clear progression, strong fundamentals, and the patience to fix one or two key things instead of trying to overhaul everything at once. If you're a lifter, you'll hear how great cues stay simple. If you're a coach, you'll hear why working with the general population can build a deeper toolbox for squat, bench, and deadlift success. Then we get into the tough part: meet day. Attempt selection and weight calls can feel brutal when the stakes are real, the clock is running, and you're responsible for the outcome. Liz shares how she went from avoiding platform decisions to confidently picking jumps, reading speed, and helping athletes squeeze the biggest total possible on that day, plus how experience and better anxiety management changed her decision-making.We also share a team update: Coach Kadrin is joining the Fortis Powerlifting coaching roster, expanding what we can offer lifters who want serious powerlifting coaching and meet prep support. If this helped you see coaching differently, subscribe, share this with a training partner, and leave a review so more lifters can find the show.Support the showThanks for listening! We went back to 2019 this week continuing our Summer Camp series for 2026 here on SlashU. This week we covered "Camp Wedding." It's the story of Mia and her bridal party. They rented out an old abandoned summer camp to turn it into Mia's wedding venue. But little do they know the camp carries a history. A young girl was struck by lightning and drowned in the 80s. Also there were some Salem-style witch burnings there in the long forgotten past. Also it was the site of a terrible Native American massacre. So there's a lot going on and it makes you wonder if having a wedding there is such a good idea. Also, everyone in the movie is addicted to texting and posting on social media. Pastor Jim examines a period of peace and transition in the life of the biblical figure Abraham from Genesis 21. He focuses on a specific narrative where Abraham enters into a covenant with King Abimelech, emphasizing the importance of believers acting as peacemakers within their local communities and the state. Pastor Jim highlights how Abraham uses generosity and honest communication to resolve a dispute over a well, suggesting that modern Christians should similarly strive for harmonious and generous relationships with those outside the church. He also encourages the congregation to utilize times of relative calm to strengthen their faith by drawing deeply from the "well" of scripture. Ultimately, he presents these peaceful intervals as essential opportunities for spiritual preparation and establishing a resilient identity in God's grace before future trials arise. Support the showThanks for listening! Send us Fan MailThe moment you realize you can't “out-strategize” your nervous system is the moment everything changes. We sit down with thought leader, speaker, and former on-camera powerhouse Michelle Soro to talk about the deeper path that opens when visibility and achievement stop working the way they used to and a spiritual awakening demands honesty.Michelle shares what it felt like to fully wake up in August 2021, how that shock can register as trauma in the body, and why the following years became an unplanned retreat into truth: seeing the masks, the performance, and the patterns built around love, acceptance, and safety. From there, we dig into presence as something you can feel, not perform. When the agenda drops and the nervous system settles, leadership changes. We explore what “quiet leadership” looks like in real life, why impact matters more than big stages, and how reciprocity replaces hustle as the measure of aligned work.We also unpack Gene Keys in plain language: a contemplative system rooted in the I Ching and your birth data that maps an arc from shadow to gift to highest expression. The key insight is embodiment, which is why somatics, trauma-informed work, and attachment awareness matter so much for entrepreneurs, artists, and high achievers who tend to overcontrol and self-audit. Michelle closes with a mantra for hard days drawn from Wu Wei: “Easy is right.”Get to know Michelle Subscribe to The Heart of Show Business, share this with a friend who needs more ease, and leave a review so more people can find these conversations.Support the showThanks for listening! Send us Fan MailDid you know that up to 80% of physical health complaints are linked to stress and anxiety? What if being stuck in fight-or-flight mode is the very thing preventing the changes you're trying to make?In this episode of the Autonomic Homeostasis Activation (AHA) Podcast, Tom Pals and Ruth Lorensson explore the sympathetic nervous system, the neuroscience of stress, and why chronic nervous system activation can keep us trapped in patterns of anxiety, hypervigilance, exhaustion, and reactivity.Far from being the enemy, the sympathetic nervous system is a brilliantly designed protective mechanism. The challenge is that modern life—24-hour news cycles, social media, political uncertainty, work pressures, and constant stimulation—can keep this system activated long after a genuine threat has passed.Tom and Ruth unpack the difference between reacting and responding, why real transformation requires access to the parasympathetic nervous system, and what it actually means to be stuck in survival mode. Ruth also shares her personal experience of hypervigilance following a serious injury and the intentional practices she has used to help her nervous system rediscover safety. In this episode:• What the sympathetic nervous system actually does• The real meaning of "sympathetic" — and why it has nothing to do with sympathy• Why fight or flight is protective, not the problem• How hypervigilance keeps us stuck in survival mode• Why chronic stress impacts both physical and emotional health• Managing versus adapting — and why only one creates lasting change• Practical tools for nervous system regulation, including breathwork, grounding, and intentional recovery• Why intentionality matters in today's stress-saturated worldIf you're interested in neuroscience, nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, trauma recovery, stress healing, anxiety, or the mind-body connection, this episode offers a practical and compassionate framework for understanding how the body responds to stress—and how lasting change becomes possible.About the AHA PodcastThe Autonomic Homeostasis Activation Podcast explores neuroscience, emotional resilience, trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, stress healing, and whole-person wellbeing. Click here to send Lisa a message. In today's episode, I'm getting a little personal sharing how I found my way into this work and how my perspective on homes has evolved over more than 20 years.I grew up on a grain farm in Iowa, which I honestly believe shaped so much of what I do today. Growing up connected to the land, the seasons, and the cycles of nature laid a foundation I didn't even recognize until much later. I was also a very sensitive, hyper-aware child, I could sense when a space felt calm, alive, or stagnant, even before I had words for it.From design school to residential design work, and even designing luxury private aircraft interiors, each experience deepened my understanding of one thing: beautiful spaces don't automatically feel good. I share the story of two clients who lived on the same street, in homes built by the same builder, both beautiful, but one felt calming while the other felt exhausting. That difference is what sent me deeper into feng shui, energy work, and environmental psychology. In this episode:• Growing up on a farm in Iowa and how nature shaped my sensitivity to environments• Designing luxury private aircraft interiors and what that taught me about how humans interact with spaces• Why beautiful doesn't always mean it feels good• The moment my career shifted from traditional interior design to environmental alignment• The patterns I kept seeing: stagnant rooms, emotional mirroring, craving visibility• What real feng shui is (and what it isn't)• How the Intuitive Home Method came to be• Two client stories that say it allJournal prompt from this episode:If your home were a metaphor for your life, what is it saying?Resources & Links:• Learn more about the Intuitive Home Method: purelivingwithlisamorton.com• Schedule a free 15-minute discovery call:https://www.purelivingwithlisamorton.com/15-min-call.html• Last week's episode with Stephanie Denson:https://www.buzzsprout.com/2209887/episodes/19270972• My book, Aligned at Home: https://www.purelivingwithlisamorton.com/book.html• Join the Aligned at Home Collective: https://www.purelivingwithlisamorton.com/collective.htmlSupport the showThanks so much for listening to Feng Shui Living!Make sure you subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts. Follow the podcast here:www.purelivingwithlisamorton.com

This podcast is powered by Klean Freaks University.com — where real cleaners build real empires. From mop buckets to million-dollar systems, we teach you how to clean smarter, lead stronger, and scale faster. Most business owners think they have a marketing problem.Sometimes they have a visibility problem. In this episode of Cleaning Business Life, Shannon Miller and Jamie Runco tackle a topic that many entrepreneurs struggle with but rarely talk about openly: being seen. For many women, visibility can feel uncomfortable. We were taught to work hard, be helpful, stay humble, and let our work speak for itself. The challenge is that business doesn't always work that way.If nobody knows you exist, it's difficult to grow.In this conversation, Shannon and Jamie discuss:• Why so many women struggle with visibility• The difference between confidence and self-promotion• Fear of judgment and what other people might think• Why being good at what you do isn't always enough• The role visibility plays in leadership and business growth• Taking up space as a business owner• Building influence while remaining authentic• Why hiding can become an expensive business strategyThey also share personal experiences, lessons learned, and the mindset shifts that helped them become more visible in their own businesses. This isn't a conversation about becoming famous. It's a conversation about allowing yourself to be seen.Because your future clients, customers, employees, and opportunities can't find you if they don't know you exist. If you've ever hesitated to post, speak up, market yourself, go live, start a podcast, or put yourself out there, this episode is for you.

Thank you For Listening. Click here to Send us a comment if you have any thoughts on the episode! The word “Mormon” can end a conversation before it even starts, especially in the Bible Belt where labels often come loaded. We sit down with Frank Sikes (our Baptist friend) alongside Kenny O'bara and Joey Cornette to talk plainly about what people mean when they say “Mormon,” why The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has pushed back on the nickname in recent years, and how identity language can either build a bridge or throw up a wall. If you've ever wondered whether Latter-day Saints see themselves as Christian, or why the name matters so much, you'll get a clear answer from local Latter-Day Saints living in the south. From there we go deeper than vocabulary. We talk about the difference between sincere questions and “gotcha” debates, how to stay calm when someone attacks your faith, and why judging by “fruits” (love, service, sacrifice, integrity) is a better test than rumor. We also unpack why the LDS Church can look “too organized” to outsiders, how ministering and priesthood blessings work in real life, and why that structure often shows up as practical care when someone is struggling. We also tackle a common flashpoint: Galatians 1:8. We discuss context, what Paul is correcting, what “another gospel” means, and why ongoing revelation is part of the New Testament world Paul lived in. And we spend time on missionaries: not as online debate objects, but as young people making a serious sacrifice for Jesus Christ and learning life skills through constant rejection and service. If you enjoy thoughtful interfaith dialogue, Christian unity conversations, and real-world discussions about LDS beliefs and misconceptions, subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find it. Lonely in a new city even though you're “connected” all day? We felt that tension hard, so we sat down with Gabor Catas, CEO of Friending Inc., to talk about a different kind of social app: one that's built to get you off your phone and back into real life. Gabor shares why he helped shape the Friending App after years of moving between countries and states, and why loneliness is more common than most people admit, especially after COVID and the shift to remote work.We dig into what makes Friending stand out in the crowded world of friendship apps and dating-style platforms. First, verified identity: the app uses Persona with ID and selfie checks to reduce fake profiles and build trust. Then, the big behavioral change: chat is limited to 10 exchanges, after which you send a friend request with a 30-day window to meet face-to-face. It's a design choice that challenges the endless-texting loop and focuses on making friends through shared activities in your area.We also get practical about safety and real-world meetups. Friending includes a triple-tap feature that can call the police by default, contact a friend, or alert nearby Friending users if you feel uncomfortable. You can browse people within about 50 miles using “Are You In” activity cards and tags, and Gabor paints the best-case future where you can even ping nearby players to fill out a last-minute volleyball team. Plus, there's a fun twist: sending real coffee with a QR code message that can be text, video, or even a song.Listen now, then subscribe, share with a friend who's new in town, and leave a review so more people can find the show.Send us Fan MailSupport the showThanks for listening!Check out this site for everthing to know about women's pleasure including video tutorials and great suggestions for bedroom time!!https://for-goodness-sake-omgyes.sjv.io/c/5059274/1463336/17315Take the happiness quiz from Oprah and Arthur Brooks here: https://arthurbrooks.com/buildNEW: Subscribe monthly: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1805181/support Email  questions/comments/feeback to tamara@straightfromthesourcesmouth.co Website: https://straightfromthesourcesmouthpod.net/Instagram: @fromthesourcesmouth_franktalkTwitter: @tamarapodcastYouTube and IG: Tamara_Schoon_comicWant to be a guest on Straight from the Source's Mouth: Frank Talk about Sex and Dating? Send us Fan MailI tried my best sounds good, but it can be the most comfortable way to stay the same. We dig into a simple idea from Tim Grover, the trainer known for working with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant: There's a real difference between trying your best and doing your best, and that difference shows up in your results. We talk through how this mindset plays out in powerlifting and strength training, especially when the weight gets heavy and your brain starts negotiating. You'll hear a deadlift story that nails the point, one attempt filled with hesitation, turned into a clean pull the moment you commit. We also get practical about what doing your best actually looks like, from taking warm-ups seriously to showing up fueled, focused, and ready to execute. Then we zoom out to the bigger picture: doing your best is a daily standard, not just for in the gym. If you're not practicing discipline and follow-through at work, at home, and in your relationships, it's tough to magically lock in”under the bar. And on the hard days when life is lifing, we come back to a rule that keeps you consistent: you don't need 100% to show up, but you do need to give 100% of what you have.If you want more strength, better fitness results, and fewer excuses that haunt you after a miss, hit play. Subscribe, share this with a training partner, and leave a review!Support the showThanks for listening! There are moments in life that quietly call us inward — birthdays, endings, new beginnings, a conversation that changes us, or even a still morning where something simply feels different. In this deeply reflective episode of Messages from the Universe, Laurie Wondra explores the idea that our lives are not measured only by accomplishments, but by the energy, presence, and consciousness we bring into the world each day. Through powerful insights on purpose, authenticity, legacy, and evolution, Laurie reminds us that the world is not waiting for a perfect version of us — it is waiting for our willingness to show up fully, honestly, and consciously. This episode is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the unique footprint you are here to leave behind. If you've been questioning your path, feeling a shift within yourself, or sensing that life is asking something more of you, this conversation will speak directly to your soul. A world is still awaiting your footprint. Let me know your thoughts on the show and what topic you would like me to discuss next. There are two versions of us: the one we describe and the one our behaviour describes. When those two don't match, we can spend years polishing the story, defending our intentions, and blaming “drift” as if it were bad weather. This conversation cuts cleaner. We treat your life like a ledger because actions keep receipts that self-talk can't erase. We walk through the entries that reveal your real priorities: where your hours go, where your free attention lands, and what fills the margin when nobody is forcing your hand. We also look at quality, not just time. Who gets your best version, the patient and present you, and who gets the leftovers when you're depleted? If you're a capable, high-output man, that pattern can quietly flip, giving your sharpest focus to conditional people, while the people who love you most get whatever remains. Then we pressure-test effort and follow-through. What do you optimise with research, standards, and iteration, and what do you leave on autopilot because you “hope it holds”? We end with a brutal but freeing lens on speed: the instant yes, the permanent later, and the truth that “later” can become a no without ever feeling like a decision. If you're ready to stop narrating your values and start living them, press play, share this with a friend who needs it, and subscribe and leave a review so more men can find the work.Key moments in this episode:00:00 The Ledger of Your Life Decisions00:16 Intro: The Two Versions of You01:16 The Ledger Principle03:12 Entry 1: Time & Margin05:25 Entry 2: Your Best Version07:30 Entry 3: Effort Is a Vote09:24 Entry 4: Speed & Deferral11:01 Reading the Full Ledger11:24 The Turn: You Are the Author13:37 Act 2 & Call to ActionSupport the showThanks for listening to the Revolutionary Man Podcast.  For more information about our programs, please use the links below to learn more about us. Pastor Jim explores the birth of Isaac as a testament to God's perfect faithfulness, timing, and grace. He emphasizes that despite the human impatience and sinful "Plan B" strategies of Abraham and Sarah, God remained committed to his original promise. He highlights the painful, yet loving pruning required when human mistakes create messy consequences, specifically regarding the casting out of Hagar and Ishmael. Ultimately, he illustrates how these Old Testament events serve as a theological foundation for the New Testament, pointing toward the miraculous arrival of Jesus. Pastor Jim concludes that believers are saved not by their own merit or performance, but through unmerited grace and faith in God's promises.Support the showThanks for listening! Her work aims to transform how customs officers, law enforcement, citizen scientists, and local communities monitor biodiversity and combat illegal wildlife trade. In 2022, Natalie was honored as one of the Explorers Club 50: Fifty People Changing the World that the World Needs to Know About. She currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at McMaster University. Send us Fan MailMost people do not need another fresh start. They need to stop abandoning the plan every time it gets uncomfortable. In this episode of The Mindset Café, we break down why so many people get stuck in the cycle of restarting. They start strong, fall off, wait for Monday, and convince themselves that a new plan will finally fix the pattern. But the truth is simple: restarting feels good because it gives you a clean slate. Refining works because it forces you to face what actually broke. This episode will help you understand why fresh starts can become a trap, why consistency is not perfection, and how to build a system that keeps you moving even when life gets messy. You'll learn how to audit the break, adjust the system, set a minimum standard, and return to the work without waiting for a new week, new month, or new wave of motivation.Stop restarting. Start refining.Support the showThanks for listening & being part of the Mindset Cafe Community.----------------------------------------------Follow On Instagram https://www.instagram.com/devan.gonzalez/Let me know what topics or questions you want covered so we can help you achieve your goals faster.----------------------------------------------Are you taking the right supplements to maximize your mind and body in fitness & health. Send us Fan MailDust off your flannel and turn up the volume! The Back in Time Brothers are taking you on an immediate transport mission back to 1995—a legendary year where the wall of sound met the industrial groove. This week, DJ Paulie and Lou team up with DJ Britt to count down the top 10 most infectious, heavy, and melodic guitar hooks that lived in your head rent-free during the golden era of alternative rock. From the gritty Seattle sludge of Alice in Chains to the massive layered buzzsaw tones of The Smashing Pumpkins, we are cranking the amps all the way to 11! Plus, we dive into a hilarious connection involving rock royalty marriages and a notorious backstage affair. But we aren't just spinning records. The brothers are breaking down the massive, mind-blowing headlines that made 1995 absolutely unforgettable:The News Room: We look back at the climax of the O.J. Simpson trial, the tragic Oklahoma City bombing, and the tech revolution of Windows 95.The Silver Screen: How Toy Story effectively retired hand-drawn animation, Jim Carrey's historic $20 million salary, and the dark thriller Seven that left theater audiences in stunned silence.Rock Talk (The Dark Side): Special guest Todd Snyder stops by to unpack the explosive rock scandals of '95, including the vitriolic "Battle of Britpop" between Blur and Oasis, Courtney Love crashing Madonna's MTV interview, and Pearl Jam's brutal war against Ticketmaster.Retro Snacks: A nostalgic trip down the food aisle! We reminisce about the debut of Pizza Hut's stuffed crust, the dangerously caffeinated Surge, Dunkaroos, and Planters PB Crisps.Whether you're a long-time loyal listener or tuning in from Germany, Japan, or Vietnam, grab a cold drink and get ready to rock.

Let me know your thoughts on the show and what topic you would like me to discuss next.Silence can feel like victory. No fights, no tension, no pushback, just a home that runs. But what if that quiet is not peace at all? We dig into a hard idea: the absence of complaints can be the most concerning signal in your marriage, your parenting, and your leadership at home, because it can mean the people closest to you have stopped believing change is possible. We unpack the difference between satisfaction and resignation, then walk through how adaptation disguises itself as “things are fine”. When your spouse stops initiating difficult conversations, it might not be agreement; it might be exhaustion. When your kids stop asking for you, it might not be independence; it might be a learned way to avoid disappointment. And when the household operates smoothly without your emotional presence, that “efficiency” can be compensation for what is missing: connection, honesty, vulnerability, and intimacy. You will hear a clear model for the slow slide into silence, plus what high-functioning dysfunction looks like day-to-day: logistics without closeness, coordination without care, calm without depth. We also name the hidden costs that build quietly over time, including eroding trust, transactional relationships, and resentment that goes underground. If you have been mistaking quiet for health, this will help you spot the gap and decide what you will do next.If this hits home, subscribe, share it with a brother who needs it, and leave a review so more men can find the work.
