I propose that cities and towns form a new class of first responders (either via a new city agency or by contracting with a nonprofit) to relieve police officers of nonviolent and nonemergency incidents. Syracuse University should buy the Syracuse Mets (and other real businesses) in order to ensure the Mets never leave and to differentiate the university from others by offering an unmatched student experience. Imagine if seniors could complete their capstone/thesis as members of a real minor league front office? After discussing this idea I then chat about how, in a similar vein, SU should also expand its clinic offerings beyond just legal services to the community. Enjoy!
