Welcome to the Televised Podcast! My name is Anna, and every week I recap the newest episode of The CW's Supergirl. In addition to that, I also delve into topics specifically related to film and TV in stand alone episodes.
This week, we're talking about all the shows and movies that touched my heart last year as we move into the New Year! Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
The long anticipated Supercorp 2.0 episode is here! This week, we're talking about Queer Subtext, Queerbait, Supercorp, and how Supergirl fits into the conversation around queer representation in media. I hope y'all enjoy this episode! Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod Sources: https://televisedpodsources.carrd.co/
This week, we're doing this one last time! Let's break down that very odd Supergirl finale, from the Lex/Nyxly heavy episode 19 to the bittersweet ending episode 20 provided. In all seriousness, thank you all so much for listening to me these past two seasons. It's been a blast clowning and geeking out about Supergirl with y'all, and I couldn't be more grateful for the way you've all embraced me so warmly. Please enjoy our last fun Supergirl recap before we burn it all down. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about the last solo episode of Supergirl ever! This marks rock bottom for the Superfriends as they deal with a death in their circle after a fun bachelorette party. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about the madness of Nyxlex, the possibility of Supercorp, and Dansen's heartwarming proposal. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about the newest episode of Supergirl. Nia is able to finally get resolution with her sister, and Kara makes a big choice that effects both her identities. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod Also available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc
This week, we're talking about the Supercorp vibes of this episode, Dansen's blooming family, and the implications of Nyxlex. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about another Supercorp filled episode! I also discuss the issues I have with William, and just how wonderful the Dansen development was during this episode. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about that Supercorp-filled episode of Supergirl! Let's breakdown all the hugs, romantic gestures, and parallels that came out of this extremely funny and well done episode. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about Azie's episode!! In a beautifully well-written storyline, Kelly finally comes into her own as Guardian to be the hero National City needs, while the Superfriends are made aware of their blind spots along the way. We also see a little bit of Witch!Lena action, as well as a tease at Green Lantern Diggle (finally!). Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, Lena's back! We're talking about all the madness that went down during this week's episode, including the Witch Lena twist that we totally saw coming and Kara's hopeless attempt at a hope speech. Has Supergirl officially jumped the shark? Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about that fun episode of Supergirl! With Kelly nearly ready to step into her role as Guardian, Nia able to finally connect with her mother, and Kara finding out Supergirl's limitations, it made for one hell of an episode. Also, the PSA was wonderful. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about that Kelly heavy Supergirl episode. Kelly's journey to becoming Guardian, Dansen's emotional moments, and Nia's inter-dream dilemma made this episode a standout and super fun to discuss! This week, we're talking about the episode that squashed all my fears about the rest of Supergirl season six, and, of course, the Supercorp of it all. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about that Supergirl trailer! Breaking down every frame, from the exploration of Kara's trauma, to the Kelly as Guardian hints, and, of course, that Supercorp hug. twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about Black Widow! I loved this movie so much, and I think it really stands out amongst the MCU lineup, and I'm really excited for the future after this film. This does contain spoilers, so be warned. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about that finale. This is much more rant than recap this time, just because I had so many feelings about what happened in this episode that I wanted to just talk about the things I liked about the episode and the things I didn't. It's also much more emotional than I intended, and this is the first officially explicit episode of the podcast. I hope y'all still like it, and I hope, if you feel the same as me, it can be as cathartic to listen to as it was for me to record. Thanks to everyone who stuck through with my Batwoman coverage this season, it was a blast to talk and theorize with y'all. Also, I always say that I think it won't be a long one before I get very far into the recording, and then it ends up being pretty long anyway, whoops! twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about that jam-packed episode of Batwoman, and breaking down how this all leads into next week's finale. Also, just an edit, but apparently Taveroff on Bane juice is actually called Menace. I mistakenly claim they're turning him into Bane, my bad. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking the triumphant return of Kate Kane, Ryan's development as a hero, and Luke's concerning new confidence. We also discuss the future of Batwoman, who should end up in the suit, and the season three must have. Also, apologies for the late episode, but poor audio quality is just something I wouldn't live with to get this episode out on time, thanks for understanding! Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking all about Batwoman's return from hiatus with an episode that left Luke's life in the balance and an uncertain future for most characters on the show. Also, in the middle of recording this, The CW posted the official posters of Luke's Batwing suit, and I just happened to live react to my first look at his new suit around 16 minutes in. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about episodes 2x13 and 2x14 of Batwoman. The twists and turns of this show never end, and these episodes are no exception to that. We discuss Stephanie Brown, Enigma, and that awful cliffhanger as the last we'll see of these characters before a three week hiatus. Twitter: twitter.com/teleivsedpod
This week, we're talking about that Supergirl midseason finale! Feels bittersweet to say that the final season of Supergirl is already halfway over, and now we have to wait until August to pick up where we left off. David Harewood directed the Groundhog Day turned horror flick of an episode, and there's So Much to discuss! Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about the nostalgia-filled second half of the Midvale episodes! Also, I basically have confirmed Supercorp endgame for myself, so I rant and rave about that too. If you're missing my Batwoman recap this week, I released a whole episode about episode 2x12 on Wednesday, so check that out! Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
Surprise! This week Batwoman gets its own episode because how could I /not/ talk about Kate's first episode back, and what that means for the series. We also discuss Ryan's decision-making, Jacob's downward spiral, and Sophie's newfound knowledge and how she uses it. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, there was no Batwoman episode to discuss, so we're jumping right back into Supergirl. Midvale is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series, and this spiritual sequel did not disappoint. We're discussing Brainy's emotions, young Kara and Alex, Cat Grant's return, and those blue Smurf guys. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about Batwoman 2x11 and Supergirl 6x04! As for Batwoman, we're breaking down all those Alice reveals and revelations, talking about that crazy Wildmoore-filled episode, and especially the implications of the final scenes of the episode. Batwoman discussion ends around 22:22. For Supergirl, we're discussing the Supercorp of it all, Clois parallels, and Alex's characterization in a relatively short but action-packed episode. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about what a great week it was for DCTV! What was formerly SuperBat Sundays had a great showing with two wonderful episodes. In terms of Batwoman, we're talking about that Enigma twist, and how the show seamlessly incorporates more political topics. For Supergirl, we're talking about the incredible performances put on by Katie, Jesse, Chyler, and Azie as the entire group of Superfriends, minus Nia, deals with Kara's more permanent absence. Batwoman discussion ends at 18:15 Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
In this episode, we talk about that lackluster second episode of Supergirl season 6. I discuss the Dansen disrespect, the odd timeline the show is keeping, and how I'm still hopeful for the future. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
Happy Friday! In this episode, we're discussing the Supergirl season 6 premiere episode, and breaking down everything from Supercorp parallels to that Phantom Zone twist. No Batwoman talk during this episode because I did a separate BW episode this week, check it out if you missed it. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
Hello, happy Tuesday! I hope everyone enjoys the Supergirl episode tonight, but before that, here's a Batwoman recap. Since it's the midseason finale, I thought I'd try doing two in one week and see how that goes. So, we're discussing all things Batwoman, including this awesome episode for Sophie, more Kate theories, and that Enigma twist. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're breaking down that crazy, thrilling Batwoman episode titled "Survived Much Worse." Everything from Alice's redemption, Ryan's plant, Julia's connections, and, obviously, Kate's return! Also, I know that Supergirl put out a trailer on Tuesday, but it didn't have much new in it, so I just didn't think it warranted much commentary on my end. I'm definitely even more excited for the episode now, though! Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Soundcloud: Televised Podcast
This week, we're talking about one of my favorite Batwoman episodes to date. We're dissecting Alice's backstory as well as diving into theories about Ryan's future and about Kate's return. I also discuss my upcoming schedule change to adjust for Supergirl's return. Supergirl stills: http://www.farfarawaysite.com/section/supergirl/gallery26/gallery.htm Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about the newest Batwoman. I break down the Ryan/Angelique relationship, talk about Straight AliceTM, and pose the question that's been looming since the season began: why should Ryan care about Kate? Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about Batwoman episode 5, which has Ryan working with the Crows unwillingly, Alice tangled up with Ocean, and a step forward for the Arrowverse in the form of Wolf Spider, the first ever Non-Binary character! Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod In the spirit of this episode, I thought I'd add my pronouns: she/her :)
This week, we're discussing the newest Batwoman episode! This season just doesn't quit with the quippy one liners and the badass scenes. We're talking about those iconic Sophice scenes and discussing more of Ryan's tragic past. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about the third episode of Batwoman season 2. In this action packed episode that feels like a love letter to comic book and DC fans, Ryan comes into her own as Batwoman, and we finally meet the allusive Safiyah Sohail.
This week, we're talking about the second episode of Batwoman! So many more twists and turns this week, with an Alice plot that rocks the city, and a connection between Kate and Ryan that I absolutely loved. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about the season premiere of Batwoman! It's the debut of Ryan Wilder, and I've got some thoughts and theories about her and our other beloved Batwoman characters. For the culture, there's even some Supergirl theories thrown in. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week, we're talking about the highly anticipated sequel to Patty Jenkin's 2017 smash hit Wonder Woman. The sequel has had it's fair share of criticism and praise, and I break down my feelings about it all. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
In this episode, we're talking about some of my favorite things that I watched in 2020 that I didn't ever talk about on the Pod! I picked three movies and three shows to do mini reviews of, with minimal spoilers, and to just geek out about some of the cool stuff that aired this year. I hope y'all had a wonderful holiday and that you have a great New Year :) Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
Hulu's most recent smash hit Happiest Season dropped the day before Thanksgiving, but this discourse is something I am /not/ thankful for. Let's break down this movie, the discourse, and other LGBT movies that have gotten the same treatment. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod
This week Eliana is back and we're talking about the absolute madness that is Superman & Lois. Before the series has even had the chance to premiere, there have been already so many scandals and dramatics related to the show, so we break down everything here. We also discuss Black Lightning's premature end. In this episode, we're taking a deep dive into Netflix's new show, The Haunting of Bly Manor, the highly anticipated anthological season 2 of 2018's smash The Haunting of Hill House. There's so much to cover, but I talk about my favorite moments from the season, and my take on that ending. Twitter: twitter.com/televisedpod Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Soundcloud: Televised Podcast
This episode was a true labor of love. I've never spent this long researching, writing, collecting media, and editing an episode before, and I hope everyone enjoys it! I hope this can be a resource to aid you in your Supercorp warrior-ing, and I hope this can open the minds of people who are currently on the fence. No matter how you feel about Supercorp, here's an objective look at the show, the ship, the fandom, and the future. This episode does contain spoilers for the series, so be warned! Also, if you're watching this on Saturday, there's going to be a live tweet watch party of episodes 7, 8, 9, and 10! This week we're mourning the loss of Naya Rivera, the 33 year old Glee actress who passed away this past week. Instead of discussing her death or being sad, we're celebrating her life and discussing just how important she has been in the fight for lesbian representation on television.
