In this episode, I speak to the quiet anxiety that so many high-functioning people carry: the belief that if they could just identify the "next right step," everything would click into place. And when they finally do feel clarity? That clarity is immediately followed by... doubt. "Am I missing something? Is there a blindspot I can't see?" Here's the truth: People chase "the next right step" as if there's a divine maze they might accidentally mess up. There is no cosmic scoring system determining whether your next step is "correct." The truth is: There is only resonance. Alignment is something to feel, not something that is validated by others' opinions. What if your felt sense of aliveness was the map? What if trusting yourself was the clearest confirmation you'll ever receive? And yes, of course you have blindspots. We all do. But living from fear of what you don't know is a subtle form of self-abandonment. When people say, "I'm wondering if I have blindspots," what they're often asking is: "Will someone please give me a reason not to trust what feels alive in me?" But the presence of unknowns doesn't invalidate your clarity. It just means you're human, walking by trust, not control. This conversation is a reminder: You don't need certainty to move forward. You just need permission to trust what's alive in you now.

(This episode originally aired on Sept. 19, 2023) In Buddhist psychology, a lot of emphasis is placed on the process of perception because the way we perceive —and misperceive — has tremendous consequences • in grade school we are taught an oversimplified view of what it means to have a sense perception: there's an object out there, and there's the eyeball, and the brain, and boom, just like that, a perception • you might say, I saw an apple, but of course you never just see an apple — you see everything around the apple as well • all of that came into your little eyeball, and you just decided to say, I saw an apple • you made a choice; that's an example of a filter • in addition to filtering, we engage in framing: we place things within a particular frame — a frame of assumptions, a frame of agendas, biases, and prejudices, simple associations, or memories • and finally there are blind spots, which is when we just don't see things at all, and we don't realize we don't see them • as we look into patterns of perception and misperception, we can see how many of our troubles start out just on a simple level of how we first see things • by recognizing and seeing through such patterns, there's a chance that our perceptions might begin to be a bit more free and open.

Send us a textWhat if your body processes 40 billion bits of information every second, but your conscious mind can only access 2,000 bits? That's like having $40 billion in your awareness bank account but only being able to spend $2,000. This eye-opening conversation with Mas Mike Zeleznick, founder of VibraVision, reveals how to access vastly more of your untapped potential through a revolutionary approach to awakening your sixth sense. After spending years collecting black belts across 23 different martial arts disciplines, Mas Mike discovered something extraordinary - an ancient Indonesian martial art that had been guarded by the royal family of Java for 11 generations. What makes this system revolutionary isn't just its 450-year history, but how it allows ordinary people to develop seemingly superhuman abilities in days rather than decades. The transformation began when Mas Mike witnessed blind practitioners who could navigate independently, effectively "seeing" without using their eyes. One man who had been dependent on his mother for 30 years gained complete freedom - riding bicycles through crowds, starting a business, and living independently. These experiences led Maz to adapt this ancient practice for the modern Western world, creating a system that bridges science and spirituality. What sets VibraVision apart is its efficiency and scientific validation. Dr. Jeffrey Fannin, a prominent neuroscientist who worked with Dr. Joe Dispenza for eight years, was astonished by the unprecedented brain activity patterns he observed in practitioners. Through specific breathing exercises and meditative practices, VibraVision essentially turns your body into an electrical generator, amplifying your natural intuitive abilities to levels that might otherwise take decades of isolated practice to achieve.Whether you're skeptical or spiritually-inclined, the beauty of this approach lies in its accessibility - a simple five-minute daily practice produces tangible results that can be felt immediately. As Mas Mike says, "Your superpowers really show up when it's not about you," reminding us that our greatest abilities emerge when we act from service rather than ego.Ready to explore your hidden potential? Try the free introductory energy exercise at vibravision.com or masmike.com and feel for yourself what might be possible when you tap into the extraordinary abilities that have been within you all along. We have different "windows" of our life. There's the window that we see and know - and that others see and know. We post about it on social media. It's "us" (our love for Star Wars, etc.). And then there's the window that only our spouse or children see - but no one else does. To others, it's hidden (or secret). There's also a window of our lives that others see with clarity - but we don't recognize. Our husband or wife, our parents, our closest friends or co-workers KNOW this about us - but we're oblivious. These things are our blind-spots - and God puts people into our lives to speak to us about our blind-spots.
Sometimes the biggest dangers in life are the ones we never see coming. Blindspots can trip us up—even when we think we know what's next. It's why smart people still make dumb mistakes. So how do we avoid the avoidable? Maybe the first step is asking for help from the One who sees it all.
Poet in residence and long time ACZC collaborator, Matt, generously boils down 14 billion years of carefully cultivated circumstances into one lucid and spiritually eclectic tale of what he's doing and why he's here - from the Zen prone slowness of the South, to the urban chaos of LA, to the sacred solitude of getting lost in foreign lands. Is restlessness a hindrance or a catalyst to personal progress? Can we go off recipe and create our own practice from whatever ingredients intrigue us? What creative fruits lie waiting for us in the gaps between what we think and what we see?? Find out here!
Welcome to another bonus episode in a series we are calling "Pilot Season". We are currently trying out some ideas for our brand new Patreon, so consider these bonus episodes as proof-of-concept ideas we are currently trying out for exclusive Patreon content in the future. This go-around is called Movie Blind Spots. Each of us made a list of movies we hadn't seen before that we felt like we should have, spun a wheel, and let the fates decide three movies that would be watching this week. We start with Anthony's choice, the Akira Kurosawa crime drama, High and Low. Dan follows it up with his assignment, the comedy classic This is Spinal Tap. The most capable entrepreneurs often struggle the most with asking for help. In this episode, Genea exposes the invisible patterns that keep business owners trapped in cycles of overwork and isolation despite their best efforts. Drawing from her own journey and client transformations, Genea illustrates why the energy behind your ask matters more than the words you use. And the “ask for help” blind spots that limit your business growth. This episode explores:
Across two gripping segments, the host pulls back the curtain on what they see as coordinated media silence, political complicity, and institutional collapse. First, a frustrated analysis of the elusive "Big Beautiful Bill" reveals a troubling lack of transparency—even among conservative outlets—amid warnings of debt downgrades, weakened financial institutions, and reckless monetary policy. Then, the focus shifts to a chilling story of 300,000 missing migrant children, reportedly handed off to unvetted sponsors with fake addresses under the Biden administration. With firsthand accounts from former officials and disturbing details of child exploitation, the host exposes what they call a systemic failure with devastating human consequences—all buried beneath layers of distraction and denial.

Hearing God's Word is one thing, but doing it is another. In James 1:19-27, we're reminded that real faith requires action. This week, Pastor Khalid challenges us to prepare our hearts so that we can be doers of the Word, not just hearers. It's time to live out what we believe and let our actions reflect our faith.Watch now and take the first step toward active obedience! In this episode of Life of a CISO, Dr. Eric Cole shines a spotlight on a critical blind spot that many Chief Information Security Officers overlook: legal liability. While CISOs are often highly skilled and technically knowledgeable, it's what they don't know—particularly about their legal exposure—that can put them at serious risk. Dr. Cole explains that many CISOs hold the title of “chief” without realizing they may not officially be corporate officers, and that distinction matters. If you are considered a true officer of the company, you may be personally liable for failures or breaches, even if you weren't the root cause. He urges CISOs to ask the right questions during negotiations, ensure they understand their official role, and protect themselves with legal counsel and proper insurance coverage. He goes on to emphasize the importance of understanding how communication becomes evidence at the executive level. In today's digital world, emails and text messages are no longer just conversations—they are legal records that can be used for or against you. Dr. Cole discusses how even a lack of written documentation can lead to lawsuits or termination if it's perceived that a CISO failed to inform the board about a critical risk. However, over-documenting can also backfire by making colleagues uncomfortable or wary. This delicate balance between transparency and discretion is a key leadership skill every CISO must develop. Ultimately, this episode is a wake-up call to every cybersecurity leader: the higher you rise, the more you must be aware of the legal and personal implications of your role.

Seeing the Unseen: Kevin's Journey Through Business, Blind Spots, and Redemption In this deeply introspective episode of the Breakfast Leadership Show, I sat down with Kevin, a business owner and consultant whose journey is as cautionary as it is inspiring. Kevin pulls back the curtain on his early days—driven, ambitious, but unaware of the blind spots that would later cost him everything. From selling a business during the height of the .com boom to entering a consulting deal that spiraled into a federal fraud case, Kevin's story is a sobering reminder of how even well-intentioned professionals can find themselves in unthinkable circumstances. His experience led to 33 months in federal prison for a crime he didn't knowingly commit. But Kevin's story doesn't end in incarceration—it begins there. What followed was a profound period of personal growth. Kevin speaks candidly about the thinking errors and unconscious biases that clouded his judgment and how this hard-earned clarity sparked a lifelong commitment to self-awareness and helping others see what they might be missing. Together, we explored the dangers of overlooked blind spots in leadership—how they lead to disengagement, poor communication, and costly turnover. We talked about the Gallup report highlighting the steep drop in employee engagement and what organizations must do to reverse that trend. Hint: it starts with middle management and a real investment in people—not just performance. Kevin also introduced his Blind Spot Assessment, a powerful tool used by organizations including the American Board of Radiology to identify and address cognitive gaps in leaders. Whether for candidate screening or leadership development, it's becoming a game-changer in building healthier workplace cultures. This episode is a masterclass in leadership accountability, personal transformation, and the human capacity to rise from failure. Kevin's bestselling book, Blind Spots: Why Good People Make Bad Choices, dives even deeper into his story—and it's well worth the read. If you've ever wondered how a leader can go from success to setback and back again—this one's for you. Website: https://BlindSpots.com Book: https://amzn.to/3YMsJfQ

We dive into Dave's journey and his ST+ICE=P Formula, which stands for Strengthen the Team + Improve the Customer Experience = Profit. Dave explains how focusing first on internal team engagement leads to outstanding customer experiences, which then fuels sustainable business growth. We also discuss lessons from his book Growing On Purpose, why most businesses grow by accident rather than design, how to spot hidden blind spots, and when letting go of the wrong customers is the right move for your company's health and future. --- Cover Your Blindspots with Dave Molenda Good day, dear listeners, Steve Preda here with the Management Blueprint podcast. And my guest here is Dave Molenda, who is a business and sales coach, speaker, best-selling author and the host of the wonderful Positive Polarity podcast. Dave, welcome to the show. Hi, Steve. how are you today? I'm doing pretty good because I'm meeting you, so it's already injecting some positivity in my day. Well good, I'm honored to be hanging out with you and thanks to you for being on our episode 260. I loved our question, “does your business have Covid?” That was a blast. So that was a great episode. So, for anyone listening, if you wonder if your business has Covid, I'm not going to tell you anything else other than head over and listen to Steve's answer to that question. It was awesome. Well, hopefully your business doesn't have Covid because it's a potentially lethal malady. Exactly. For sure. But it was, it really was a fun episode and we created a lot of snippets that we put on our website, so we definitely are excited about it. Awesome. But we're not going to talk about this because we are going to talk about your stuff and what you are doing because it is at least as good, if not better, and we are going to dive into your frameworks, your book and all your experiences, your “Why” and all that good stuff. So, are you ready? I'm ready. I got my seatbelt on. I'm all set here so we can go as fast or as slow as you want. Okay, so let's fast track into my favorite question. What is your personal “Why,” Dave? And how are you manifesting it in your practice and in your business? Yeah, for sure. I tell you, it's interesting, Steve. I love the name of your podcast, using a blueprint as a framework, because I can't believe how many people start and try to grow a business without a blueprint, without some kind of framework. So I love unpacking that with you on my show. But my “Why” is for all the people that are out there that are so good at what they do, they're good at their craft, they're good at their skill, whether it's building a house, whether it's selling something, whatever it is, making something, they're so good at that. But boy, they struggle when asking the question about, how do I grow this business? How do I create a team? How do I develop this team? How do I make this a long-lasting business? So my “Why” is really coming alongside of those people. Again, genuine people, really good at what they do, but they very often are struggling with what to do once they have gotten to the end so far.Share on X They've asked all their neighbors and friends, they've asked all their acquaintances to buy whatever they have. I don't know about you, but we get inundated with all the Girl Scout cookies from all your friends and family. But rarely do you get a knock on the door from somebody that you don't know. So my whole goal is to help businesses that are struggling, that want to grow. And so we come alongside them and help them again and create a blueprint different than yours. Our blueprint a lot of times involves the customer.
When we look to someone for answers, 'I don't know' is maybe the last thing we want to hear. But it could be one of the best things a leader can say - a gateway to honesty, curiosity, and flexibility, to a bigger picture, to much better decisions, and to a revolutionary process called 'blindspotting'. Renowned leadership and management thought leader and author Dr Kristin Ferguson leads Osher through this process, with examples of just how much it can change our business and personal lives. On today's episode, Vince welcomes back crime analyst and journalist Chris Dalby to examine how economic policies like tariffs can unintentionally empower cartels. They unpack the evolving tactics of criminal networks, explore how legitimate industries become entangled in illicit operations, and assess how U.S.-Mexico relations influence crime on both sides of the border. Chris also introduces listeners to the rise of Tren de Aragua—a Venezuelan gang expanding rapidly across the Americas—and offers a preview of his upcoming book, which exposes the group's global footprint and strategic approach to recruitment and expansion.
