Big Idea: God leads restless souls toward satisfaction. Problem: Our souls grow faint because we keep searching for satisfaction where it cannot be found. Solution: God frees us from aimless wandering by leading us toward the only city that satisfies. Vision: To become a people who can name our longing without shame, tell the truth about our wandering, and testify to how God met us when we cried out. As we tell our stories, we become a community of pilgrims learning to walk God's straight path together; finding real satisfaction in Him and pointing other wanderers toward home. Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. Big Idea: Hope fuels present endurance and joy. Problem: Joy and strength are lost when hope is tied to circumstances. Solution: Hope in Christ's promised return offers us joy and strength through all trials. Vision: Become people who endure suffering with visible joy because our lives are anchored to the future Christ has promised. Steps To Change: Anchor your hope in Christ's return; endure suffering with that hope; and find joy not in your circumstances, but in Christ and the future joy He has promised. The resurrection is hard to believe, but without it, life is empty and purposeless. Jesus met Thomas in his doubts, gave him what he needed to believe, and transformed him into a bold witness. In the same way, Christ meets us in our doubts, shows us His scars, and calls us to believe so we might receive new life and purpose.
