The Tales Of The Unexpected Podcast

You'll noticed this is the second part (of two) so please catch up with part one first. As previously stated, when we started recording, the idea was purely just to practice again - so splitting up the episode was all done as an afterthought... hopefully the transition isn't as jarring as I make it out to be in my waffle. Podcasting will resume, so hang tight - maybe eave some reviews and tell your friends too, but definitely hang tight because we're ready to record more... Not so much a tale from the Tales... more a possible inspiration for what the Tales became. It's Lady Killer featuring Jesus and we decided to take on one of the episodes from Thriller - if you're a fan of TOTU, you'll love this - watch along on youtube (here's a link to the episode) if you want and it'll save you searching out the boxset online... although, spoiler alert, we WILL be revisiting based on how this watch went - so maybe an amazon purchase would be better (I'm sure ebay could produce a result, but this link might save time) I guess the elephant in the room is our absence. At no point was did an elephant give us reason to pause recordings... however no need to dwell on it right now - I'm sure it'll come up at some point but as this was our practice session, we just wanted to get back into the rhythm (whatever the rhythm of two middle aged friends is, obviously) Well, if you're still listening to the show, that's great. With an attempt to go high brow, our brows were higher than usual as we were actually perplexed at the events in this short film.We delve into the 1968 version of MR James' ghostly goth classic 'Oh Whistle and i'll come to you my lad' starring THE FANTASTIC Michael Hordern.Now as usual, we chat about other stuff, but because this was a MSSS, we chat A LOT about other stuff. Ghosts and that ghost hunting show, love island, censorship in general and 4 in a Bed are just some of the topics we skirt around in an attempt to sound really cool and young.don't delay, get your listen on - part 2 in a weeks time x

what an episode to round things off. Real proper tale of the Tales... turns out that although this was part of season 4, it was released much later and became a sort of Christmas special. Definitely one to watch after we speak about it... or during... or before... or in sections or whatever. Anyone who caught my (Chris) rant on instagram will by now know i've done with the app and won't be promoting the episodes on that anymore - not that it really mattered - so to keep in touch (and make sure there's at least a modicum of marketing) instead, i've set up a facebook account and will hopefully get a TOTU group up and running in due course.TOTU podcast is alive and well, but will now take a bit of a break. look out for the mid season summer special - i'm thinking of doing a ghost story, so we'll see what happens.thanks for the support. enjoy.Chris and Rob

If I do say so myself, this is one of the best episodes we've recorded. Albeit one of the oddest tales in the collection to date... not in a good way.hopefully the dissection of what happens up to your standards. What I can promise, is a better mic set up and none stop lighthearted lounge listening enjoyment.

Welcome back - been a tough week trying to get back into work, catching up with everything i missed plus trying to work out when to upload this and write this blurb in such a way that attracts more listeners. i gave up as i reckon once people know about the podcast, we'll be the talk of the town... so, we might need to ask you a favour and in return we'll do more of these podcasts (how can you resist?). why not tell a friend, maybe even two. thats all, let's keep it simple. IT'S BACK... and with a brand new theme tune! WHOOOOP - it's almost as if we've taken things seriously! Rest assured, our organisational skills are still pretty bad, but we're learning and hopefully the break was worth it and this episode is a zinger. IT'S THE SEASON 3 FINALE and we're having a party... or rather we've been watching The Party and it's good. trust me! Excuse the few days delay, arranging time to record is always a trouble but Rob is sunning himself up on Mount Vesuvius, so it's been a trickier time than usual. We've also been away at a murder mystery weekend, thanks to the amazing Joy Swift and her team! Anyway. back with the show... we're once again starting with a little reminder for an upcoming movie called Black Lake and the ways you can find out about getting involved. Then it's into the TOTU podcast. The Party is all about the office party. But it's set in the 80's so the only bit of debauchery you'll hear about is likely to be the unexpected bit(!)... and because we're not paid for these and can pretty much say whatever comes into our heads, we end up chatting about Love Island, When Christians get mad and being scared whenever you see a police car... plus more rubbish that makes this show the best bloody podcast there is. thanks. dont forget to review us and drop 5 stars our way too xxx

I've just listened to this episode and it's really good. REALLY GOOD. so come on, let's get this podcast out there. it's much better than most of the famous ones. We dont make a penny, don't crave fame, just want to do the right thing and let the memory of TOTU live on through these ridiculous audio files. And this one is NO exception. Starts off with a message about a new film project that's picking up speed... Black Lake... check it out on FB and Insta and Twitter. then we shift into a chat about footballers wives and ray winstone, then theres music. Now we get to the meaty bit... an episode all about a woman scorned, a man belittled and another woman with bad eyes. add a mixture of murder and skulduggery and you have a classic... intertwined with chat about new NHS experimental treatment plus the usual laughs... its a classic TOTU Podcast episode - of that, there is no doubt
