The Western Hunter podcast is a truly enjoyable and informative listen for anyone interested in hunting, particularly in the western United States. The hosts, Chris Denham, Nate Simmons, and Ryan Hatfield, bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, making each episode full of valuable tips and tactics for success in the field. Whether you're a seasoned hunter or just starting out, this podcast offers something for everyone.

One of the best aspects of The Western Hunter podcast is the genuine passion and love for hunting that comes through in every episode. The hosts clearly enjoy what they do and are dedicated to sharing their knowledge with others. This enthusiasm is contagious and makes listening to the podcast a true joy. Additionally, many of the hunts discussed on the show are accessible to the average hunter, allowing listeners to relate and learn from real-world experiences.

Another great aspect of this podcast is the variety of guests and topics covered. The hosts bring in a range of experts from different fields, including experienced hunters, wildlife biologists, gear specialists, and more. This diversity keeps the content fresh and interesting, offering something for everyone regardless of their specific interests or skill level.

On the other hand, one potential downside of The Western Hunter podcast is its frequency of updates. While understandable due to busy schedules, it would be great to have more regular episodes to satisfy eager listeners. However, this small issue does not take away from the overall quality of the content provided when new episodes are released.

In conclusion, The Western Hunter podcast is an exceptional resource for hunters looking to improve their skills and gain insight into western hunting. With knowledgeable hosts who are passionate about what they do, diverse guests covering a wide range of topics, and relatable perspectives on accessible hunts, this podcast delivers valuable information in an engaging format. Whether you're an experienced elk hunter or just beginning your journey into western hunting, this podcast is well worth a listen.

The Western Hunter crew just returned from a blacktail deer hunt on Kodiak Island, Alaska.  This was a boat-based hunt meaning we lived, ate, and slept on the boat. Each morning one of the two boat captains would run us to shore in a zodiac type small boat to hunt and pick us up each night. The captains do this every single day from early October until the middle of December. The life they lead is a crazy one, so I decided to sit down with boat captain and owner Ross Hodek and talk a little about the year in the life of a Alaskan boat captain.  By the way, if you are interested in booking a Kodiak Island blacktail hunt on The Spirit you need to reserve your spot soon! It is the dollar-for-dollar value for Alaskan hunting adventure. You can book through Alaska Coastal Adventures 907-262-4359. Tell them Western Hunter sent you.
