There was so much anticipation for Adam Cianciarulo's pro career when it began a little over a decade ago, and now we can look back at it in full because he's announced his retirement. Jason Weigandt has a few thoughts from Adam to share (via the SMX Insider show's exclusive interview) and then Weigandt adds his own thoughts. Hardly anyone had expectations to live up to like Adam did, because he was entering the ranks right on the heels of a 15-year run of Kawasaki Team Green prospects going straight to the top immediately, through Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, and Ryan Villopoto. Thus, the microscope was on Adam right from the start to see if he could be the next one, and for a brief moment, he delivered by winning supercross races immediately. Unfortunately, injuries then kicked in, leaving everyone wondering what might have been. Adam surely wondered this more than anyone, but was also able to gain perspective from it all. He might not have won all the races he would have won if he was healthy, but he might have emerged from the process as a better person. The 2023 Anaheim 2 Supercross is in the books and the Triple Crown format certainly shook things up in both the 250SX West and 450SX classes. Eli Tomac and Jett Lawrence were both knocked off their pedestals, however, Eli was knocked further off with a 6th place overall and a slimmed down 4-point lead over Chase Sexton in the 450 Championship standings. Jett actually extended his lead, but Levi Kitchen grabbed his first podium (which happens to be a win) in Supercross. He's recovering from another shoulder injury suffered the first week of January. His shoulders have been an ongoing problem for the winningest mini bike rider in amateur motocross history. Cianciarulo is ready to get the injuries behind him and go on to the championship career that was projected to him since his rookie season in 2014. Listen.

Female hunters are the fastest growing segment in hunting. And today's guest has been instrumental in ensuring its continued growth. Vicki Cianciarulo, began hunting in the late 1980's and was one of the first female hunters on television. She has hunted big game all across the globe and has taken hundreds of animals with her bow and rifle.  Today we discuss the impact she has had on female hunters and what she sees in the future of hunting.

The fastest growing segment in the hunting world today are females between the ages of 15-30. Today's guest has been instrumental in helping this to occur. Beginning nearly 30 years ago, she and her husband have ushered in the sport for girls and women all across the country. Vicki Cianciarulo we one of the first female hunters on television. Her accomplishments are the stuff of legends.  Vicki shares with us her thoughts on why more and more women are getting outdoors and what we can do to continue to encourage it. 

Adam Cianciarulo is always a thoughtful and articulate interview, but he's finally bringing those popular skills to the center as a genuine title contender in the 450 Class. His rookie big-bike season included a second-half flurry that put the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in reach, but, win or lose, he was just happy to avoid the many hazards are hurdles of the premier class and make gains throughout the year. Adam Cianciarulo really did say "Honestly, my first initial thought was Anderson has been riding like an a-hole kinda all year, running me off the track and stuff,“ during a Monday-night press conference. When he got run into by a Rockstar Energy Husqvarna, those were his thoughts—until he found out it was actually Zach Osborne running into him, to which Adam said, “I saw the 16, and we've run into each other so many times, I almost just laugh it off at this point. I didn't have the pace he had, so I did my best not to be too emotional and get crazy mad try to do something stupid.” It was an enjoyable Monday-night Zoom press conference after a wild round two of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross. The timing couldn't be better for two riders in Monster Energy Supercross. Monster Energy Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo and Honda HRC's Justin Brayton were both scheduled to miss some time in 2020 due to small injuries, but the COVID-19 lockdown gave them time to recover, and now they're dialed in and ready as supercross resumes on May 31. Jason Weigandt chats with both riders to get their thoughts on going racing again, including their practice and training plans while staying in Utah and their perspective on rolling with the changes. Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo chat with host Brian Stephens about the impact of COVID-19 on hunting television, outfitters, and hunters in general. Here we go! It's round 9 of Monster Energy Supercross. This week we're headed to Atlanta for round 8 of the Monster Energy Supercross series! Last week we saw the points leader, Eli Tomac win 2 out of 3 main events and extend his points lead over Ken Roczen. Two title contenders, Cooper Webb and Adam Cianciarulo, both had crashes that ended their nights early. A banged up Webb will be back this weekend but Cianciarulo will be forced to sit this one out as he waits for his collar bone to heal. We're half way through this season and like most seasons, we're starting to see this season take its toll on several riders. Another rider out this weekend is Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna rider Zach Osborne. Bull Frog Spas, Moto Concepts , Honda rider, Justin Hill will be calling in this week to tell us about his fanny pack, kick boxing warm up routine, and what his ideal supercross track would look like. Presented by OGIO Powersports In just a few weeks, Adam Cianciarulo will make his proper, long-awaited debut in the 450 class at the 2020 Anaheim One Supercross. That's not to discredit the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider's big win at the 2019 Monster Energy Cup, but as you'll hear in this chat, he knows the October race is much different than what he'll face over the course of seventeen weeks. For how popular and acclaimed AC is, he's done a very good job staying under the radar this offseason. The majority of his time was spent in Southern California, which allowed him to test parts and setup on the KX450 alongside the team, and he continued his work with riding coach Nick Wey. This will be a big year for Cianciarulo, as he is widely expected to be in the mix for good finishes in every Main Event, with hopes for a win should things go his way. Impressive results will be key, as he has signed just a one-year contract with Monster Energy Kawasaki and sees the season as his chance to prove to the sport why he's worthy of a long-time spot from 2021.

Supercross kicked off the 2018 season with some great racing. We open the show talking about the how we like the new format of the race night, and we talk about the new metal girds at the starting line.  Looks like Supercross might be on to something good here! Moving on to the 250s we talk about the heat races and the final.  The winner, Shane McElrath, look strong all evening and is going to be in the running all season.  Cianciarulo and Plessinger completed the podium.  Phil made an augment that Cianciaurlo is in the west to prepare him to move up to the 450s next season.    The Supercross 450s saw a lot of action with one of the big names, Eli Tomac, not finishing the night due to a crash and a saggy pants.  Ken Roczen started is comeback season in decent fashion and Justin Barcia becomes the happiest man in Supercross.

It is great to see a healthy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo back to doing work after a rash of untimely injuries sidelined the rising star over the last two years. We've covered AC's career since he was riding a 50 and always look forward to catching up. Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha's Aaron Plessinger tamed the ruts and tough conditions in Seattle to earn his first victory of the year. Aaron is undoubtedly on of the most charismatic riders in the pits and the fans appreciate seeing his personality on and off the track. Racer X's David Pingree has been busy with all the latest storylines and breaking news dropping in moto over the last few weeks. We'll get his opinion and perspective on an all things “Ping” tonight.
